I think the other kids are just as smart but interested in different things. Sheldon love science and math. Georgie love practical things. He probably has a high mechanical intelligence and practical. My uncle Bill was just like that he was a mechanical genius. Missy has a very high emotional intelligence.

Well, we don't know how the writers intend to play it out. The actors themselves are hoping for one of those divorced/remarried type situations. There's enough ambiguity from TBBT to allow for various options. We just know that he went through two divorces. Nothing says he couldn't have remarried his first wife. 🤷♂️
@Seastallion Did all the events described in TBBT happen in Young Sheldon? I have not been keeping up, but I remember an episode of TBBT where Sheldon talks about his father working in a gas station and stealing from the till. At the time, Young Sheldon was probably not considered, so some of things might have been just skipped.

No, there are plenty of off the cuff remarks Sheldon made that were never portrayed. It can and has been written off by fans as unimportant (which is reasonable in many cases) or in some cases Sheldon either misinterpreting his memories (which Young Sheldon used to retcon his father cheating) or even potentially making up or exaggerating stories, which we've seen adult Sheldon do, sometimes just to make himself look better. Or there is the potential that a story isn't necessarily in the timeline of Sheldon's life that we think. The story about George and the till could potentially be before Sheldon was born, well before George became a respected (sometimes) football coach. I won't say the continuity is perfect, but it's not bad.

I understand Sheldon is ending after this season for continuity reasons, but it is the best sitcom on TV, and the Mandy/Georgie storyline made this sitcom beautiful and charming.
Georgie taking care of everyone after George dies makes me curious what the new show is going to do about Missy. I heard that the current actress won’t be returning. I wonder if they’re going to recast, or do a “just off screen” sort of set up, like they did with Howard’s mom and kids on TBBT.
The show wants to move on from young sheldon and create a new storyline for georgie and mandy that doesnt exactly corelate with The Big Bang Theory. Ill be making a video explaining all of this soon, thanks!

I think its just that she can't be a regular cast member because CBS is budget cutting shows with big casts due to the big salary increases from the strike settlement, Reducing her to a recurring character means they have to pay her less money.
Mandy did not deserve Georgie.... Georgie is close to perfect in Young Sheldon. Not a genius but hardworking family loving man.

Even though Georgie and Mandy will break up eventually, they must have been on good terms considering how Georgie opened up his own tire shop and business.
My only curiosity is if Georgie still got to be part of his daughter with Mandy, Cece’s life and provide any support for her after he and Mandy broke up.
We know that Georgie was married twice and they never worked out but it was never mentioned that he had children which was obviously for the plot twist in Young Sheldon.

Nothing says that they can’t get back together after being divorced. My in laws divorced, remarried, divorced again, then just started fuching on and off until they both died.
The fact that you failed to realize Georgie and Mandy are no longer married in the The Big Bang is mind blowing watch the episode he clearly states which wife he’s on.. really a shame if your a fan of the show
I now understand why Sheldon was such an asshole towards everyone that he meets he’s always had an arrogant narcissistic chip on his shoulders with a superiority complex that rendered him virtually intolerable to most people.
I'm glad they stayed together, I thought they weren't going to make it together but he really cared for her. They started getting a good vive together when she had the baby, even laughing in zinc at times.

Of course, it's her child and like it or not Sheldon did manage to make some amazing accomplishments. Also, Sheldon definitely has autism and to him the social aspects of life are difficult.

Mandy is kind of a hot mess (due in large part to her mother). She most likely never went to any kind of therapy or counseling to address what causes her to create chaos in her life. Not hard to imagine that at some point she comes out with "I can't do this anymore" and bails on her marriage to Georgie, precisely because he IS a source of stability, and she can't cope with that.
I think Georgie is smart.But Sheldon won't admit that because like he says there is only one type of smart in his mind.There is differen types of intelligence.Just because you re not good at 1.Doesn't mean you're not good at the other

That’s saying something in the second most populace state in the US with the highest number of trucks, and more cars than people.
Easy plot hole fix would be to say that Georgie and Mandy did get divorced at a young age. But that was what drove Georgie to go into business for himself and strike it rich. And being divorced could have made Mandy realize how bad her life sucks without Georgie. And that brings them back together for a stronger marriage.
That alone could take up a whole season.
When Georgie gets old, he'll get tired and gonna retire.

Is it possible YS turns out differently than TBBT? Georgie in TBBT says Sheldon went off to college after George died but in YS he’s already in college and George is still alive. I mean they did change things so that George never actually cheated on Mary but just made Sheldon believe that was the case due to not knowing the woman was his mom in a cosplay.
He is in college right now but what TBBT meant is Sheldon moved to California to go to grad school after George died. Seems like all of that will be happening soon.

I know this is about Georgie, but I really wish they would’ve done a little bit more pushing onto Missy for being very in tune/intuitive with peoples feelings so she could’ve made a genius therapist. I mean they were a little hints about her being pretty good with understanding people through the series as it was. But then as an adult Missy she was just a waitress so that kind of sucked. I hope so. Since he got older and goes by George now, surely family members get together occasionally. That has to be confusing? I have family members named after their Dads too and speaking as just a cousin, I’m not always sure towhich one they are referring to unless the kids mention “Dad” but the other Aunts/Uncles/cousins and good friends sometimes don’t. I was away for many years and so I wasn’t present for the special memories they shared. They must have thought I was though.
