  • Professor of leadership, diplomacy, and negotiation, Valon talks on the importance of self- awareness through sharing his multidisciplinary education and international experiences. His idea is that only when we reach self-awareness can we be the people we want and desire to be, that self-awareness is the fundamental understanding of ourselves.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I couldn't agree with him more. Self awareness through introspection has proven the most vital tool in my goal to developing my personal religion.

Krishnamurti was saying something simple. ''How to'' implies a method. One to be aware must be totally free. Implying a method you condition your self, so you are back in the circle
You can ask your self , What keeps you away from being free ?

As a communications major a pet peeve of mines is when the presenter ends it with a thankyou. It’s almost like saying thank for sitting through this and comes off as indecisive. I think it’s better to end it with an impact that will leave a strong impression

Just words. Starts under the assumption that there is a separate "self". Then goes on to divide seeking to reflect on what that self is or isn't. Who is this self and who is the one contemplating the nature of this self? Very silly. Only thing there is a movement of knowledge. In the absence of that knowledge there'd be no way to go off on this speculative journeys attempting to know a so-called self. Everything he knows about himself came from others. Where then is this individual self?
