Today we look at two contraptions for automating the creation of concrete. Making concrete from concrete powder is pretty easy but if you need to make a lot of it then it's useful to have some machines that can help you. In this tutorial we build two concrete makers. One is super easy and can be built in the early game and the other is still simple but requires a bit more effort, however it can produce over 17,000 concrete per hour so is worth the time required.

Love this series. Would really like to see a tree farm as well.
Hey man! Iâm thinking about making a tree farm as well. I would check out Ilmangos 1.15 oak and birch tree farm, as itâs pretty simple to build and doesnât require too many resources. Itâs probably almost the simplest you can get for a tnt tree farm.
I was thinking the same! LogicalGeekBoy tends to explain things a lot better and it id way more simple to follow instructions from him.
I'd love to see Logic explaining IlMango's universal tree farm as well. That thing is compatible with 5 tree types, and can feel logs into a 1 by 1 zero-ticked blockstream, meaning they can be fed into the very TnT efficient blast chamber that Mango designed back in the day. That'd take a lot of time to fully explain for sure, since it's really complicated, and it took a while for Mango to explain as well, but a more noobfriendly explonation would be awesome.
I'd like a tree farm that doubles with warped shrooms. Because I am honestly darned if I am ever going to touch Rays madness of using ancient debris in a complicated redstone build.
You read my mind
Explained extremely well and design is so simplified, unbelievable work Logic. Well done and thank you.
Thanks for giving us a basic design, as well as a more advanced design. It is also really helpful that you explain how and why it works. I think you make the best tutorials, whether it is for a simple farm, an efficient design, or just one that uses some fun game mechanics. Thanks!
I love this series! You are doing a really great job with it! Thank you so much Logic! I would like to see a mob and gold farm with the ability to switch from xp mode to auto kill mode.
I can confirm this still works in 1.19
Hope you hit your 100k goal soon, good luck
Really liking this series so far; simple to medium complexity designs, well explained. Keep it up!
Great video man, Iâm building a mega concrete hotel and needed this. Very clear tutorial. Keep up the good work. 10/10 would recommend
Great video as always, Logic!
I think a video on lag reduction would be very helpful. I've seen people use powered rails instead of redstone dust and composters on top of hoppers and things like that, without really knowing why or how this helps reduce lag. I think it would be great if you could go over various lag reduction methods.
You have the best tutorials. I've built a concrete maker before, but this is much more straightforward than the one I made.
Ideas for beginners: Auto brewer, auto smelter, tree farm, creeper farm, vine farm, xp farm
Logic has the best creeper farm tutorial out there already!
why a vine farm? what do you use those for
mossy cobble? or is there more recipes
I think vine is useless unless you make many builds with vines and mossy blocks (mossy cobblestone, mossy stone bricks etc) and I think that autobrewer is very expensive early game and I would recommend building an iron farm.
For sure. I did a deeplsate tile and oak button/trapdoor creeper farm and it ended up lookin real nice for a mob spawner. It took a lot of material n patience and denfinately helps u get into the mood to build crazy stuff afyer u complete this
Nice! You make it look simple. Iâm going to attempt this on your patron server đ
I'm loving this series. It's perfect for nearly all of my needs in a single player survival world. What I'd like to see some time is an easy creeper farm or a fuel factory with kelp for super smelters, because I'm often in need for glas or smelted stone, which costs tones of fuel.
Keep up the awesome work you do!
Use a carpet duper free fuel..i use iskalls smeltor with carpet duper it just works brilliantly.no fuel required
Make a bamboo farm for fuel same mechanics as an automatic sugarcane farm
Just built this really easy to make just took over hour to do works perfect thank you keep up good work
Another note about those composters: Even if you don't care about lag (Why though? You really should!), the composters prevent the hoppers from accidentally picking up items, and thus messing up the clock. You really don't want a messed-up clock on a TNT duper!
How do composter reduce lag? And why?
@@blutlauch4418 Hoppers that have nothing else to do will look for item entities in the block above them every single game tick, which is a somewhat expensive operation, especially if there are many open hoppers. The only two ways to prevent them from doing that are either powering them wit ha redstone signal (but that also disables them pushing items they contain into the container their output points at), or putting another container on top of them. There are many container blocks, and in the past, the dropper was the preferred one (people also used furnaces, but those don't help much, since they also do things every game tick, while droppers don't).
And this is where the composter shines: It has a single output slot (the one for its bonemeal), and unlike all other container blocks it's not even a block entity (like a dropper, furnace, hopper or chest would be), i.e. it's just as dumb of a block as dirt. It doesn't do anything on its own, which means it won't cause any lag by itself, yet it's a container-type block as far as the hopper is concerned.
@@TheRealWormbo Thanks, I didnt know that. This will help.
â@@TheRealWormbo that's a nice passive- aggressive explanation, thanks
â@@TheRealWormbo but I have to ask, don't full solid blocks block their ability to suck items from above? Or they still try to even tho they wouldn't be able
Love U man, love what you do, thanks for all you awesome vids !đđŻ
Second one works a treat. This combined with my end portal duplicator is gonna be awesome. Just need to hook it up to my central building materials sorter now. Thank you very much for all your detailed guides.
thank you, the machine works really well.
Great farm, I built it in hardcore, super easy and simple and is awesome!
Thanks! this helped me a lot. the only thing was that blocks were flying every where but just add a few blocks here and there and it works perfectly!
NICE VIDEO !!
Very nice concept! Subbed n liked. Very cool
Still works like a charm for me in minecraft 1.18 java edition If anyone is wondering. Great tutorial keep them going!
I love the series. Please do a creeper farm or and Ender an grinder next.
Works perfectly in 1.17.1, thank you ;)
Just built this in Java 1.18.1 works great!
Another awesome design! Thank you, works perfect on the Java 1.19.2 version. Note to self, make sure your repeaters are placed in the correct direction....unless you want to blow up your TNT duplicator!
I love these easy farms! Is there any chance you could make a simple wood farm tutorial too?
Hey! Iâm thinking about making a tree farm as well. I would check out Ilmangos 1.15 oak and birch tree farm, as itâs pretty simple to build and doesnât require too many resources. Itâs probably almost the simplest you can get for a tnt tree farm.
Thnx for this concrete converter tutorial
The big one works perfectly!
I'm on Realm 1.16.5 Java.
Build it properly and it will work perfectly!
Thanks man! :)
For the manual concrete maker, if you press F3+T while holding down the mouse buttons and release while it's reloading the textures, the game will think you're still holding down both buttons. Just click the buttons again to stop. Useful for early game, but the tnt concrete maker is what you'd want :) .... now off to find a Nether Star to power my concrete maker! :P
works with simply the right click option as well, if you use it with the TnT version.
Lol
Awesome video
Ideas: Guardian, Wither Skelly, Raid, Wither Rose(for wither skelly),. Love to hear a response â¤ď¸
Also maybe a cobble farm
I think the only problem is that this is "simply minecraft", and those farms aren't to simple for beginners
Hasn't he made 3 1.16 wither skeleton farm designs?
especially raid farm, there arenât many great ones out there
@@notken12-minecraft57 There are LOTS of good designs.
Works perfectly for 1.20.2 on a server (If TPS goes down, it can stop working, but you have only to destroy the concrete block in front of you or press on the noteblock above, which would move the the block. Then it will start working again). Perfect farm â¤
Love this series. Would really like to see a bone meal farm, tree farm, xp farm, creeper farm, guardian farm and a wither head farm!
Just put a composter into the potato and carrot farm
Thx you, great design and simple to build! I have just replace the duper because i don't like using that
Thank you very much
I love your explanation â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
thanks this works very well
this has been so helpfull for my world could we get a cobble and or wood gen?
My favorite series
Thanks so much i just built a concrete farm from shulker craft and it didnt work in 1.16.3 and i just built your design and it works wonders!
For real? I already built 2 sucking Concrete Makers xD is this really working in 1.16.3?
Would love a world download or even better a copy of your litematica saves. I'm hoping you're going to do a world download after you get further on this series. Love your work!!
Another useful video. It would be interesting to see you building these things in survival rather than creative - there's a lot of times where you seem to only be able to place blocks in the right orientation by flying!
I agree that there are some cases in which he places blocks in hard to reach places, but I would suggest a simply scaffolding video instead of survival building.
I have already! Checkout my Legacy series on the channel, I build this concrete maker on the server in survival
I just built it and it works like a dream! Logical Geek Boy FTW!!!!
Hi, Nice build, works great. I built the auto one and was wondering sometimes it seems to slow down, not always but after I turned it on and off a few times. I rewatched the tutorial and it's built good. Only thing I had to do was put a torch beside the water sources to stop em freezing. (Grove biome) Any suggestions? I imagine snow cover wouldn't be the issue but I could be wrong. It is snowing up here.
You're the best â¤ď¸
It would be awesome to see something simpler like flower, kelp, sugar can, cobblestone, stone farms :)
Those are easy, he already did a flower farm
Thanks
For the 2nd farm (using pick) If you use your keyboard instead of mouse + Haste II, you can get ~9900 item/hr (15% increase of throughput)
Nice video. Should mention how this is a modified mumbo jumbo design.
Works just fine for 1.19.3 â¤
Thx
For the people who are saying the big one does not work, im on 1.16.5, I built it and it worked pefectly fine on a solo world
Nice man, works flawless on a 1.16.3 vanilla server
works brilliantly mate cheers! actually might work too well. the powder dispenser is too powerful. at somepoint the powder just ends up on the floor and could maybe eventually POTENTIALLY despawn when doing heavy AFKing and a full 3 - 4 chest worth of powder ready to be shot out ^^. non the less, great video, just have to make sure you dont have too much on you when doing your session. very well explained. only thing left to check out is that video of yours about why composters reduce lag :) stay safe. cheers.
(PS: my goal is to max out all 5 rows. it only ever seems to go up to 3 when when in motion)
all that is left is to build a nice industrially factory with all the concrete that will be coming out of this thing!
1.19.3 I encountered recently 1 mysterious problem. I had 4 stacks of concrete powder and only 1 reached the chest. The 3 others are nowhere to be found. I observe that it's like if the tnt was destroying part of the blocks. Otherwise, that build works pretty good and is helpful. Thanks ! :D
Another great farm! Maybe now it's time for an item sorter tutorial! :-)
Mumbo jumbo has a good video on item sorters. I'd suggest looking for that
Wattles also has one. The standard one type item sorter is very simple and thereâs only really one design
@@graysonpreece9335 Mumbo also has video's on farms, should I skip Logic video's altogether? lol
@@liorschifrin I am curious on what designs Logic can come up with.
@@rockomax4284 Are you talking about a single item sorter or a multi item sorter? A multi item sorter is too complicated for Simply Minecraft and Logic used Rapscallions as I would recommend to you as well if that's what you want. Single item sorters have been around forever, and no matter how good Logic is he won't be able to improve the standard one. It's 3 blocks long and tileable. Just look at some other videos, for something as simple as this you don't need to wait for Logic to make a tutorial
realy easy concrete converter
Nice
Do any of your farms work on bedrock? Ps4. ?? Before I start building lol thank you
Uncle tested. Works in 1.17! (Use this design incase you lags often in a server)
Wooh even i made the video 0,25 speed thats didnt change anything you still fast as always
thank you my brother from turkey
Love the vid. But can you use a dispenser or something to place the block for you? I was able to do it before long ago. Haven't tried in since like 1.10. Can't remember, I used it since tnt was disabled.
You cant place concrete powder with dispensers
Just found this, I am trying to make it in my survival world, will it work without the coral fan? I've spent days looking, and can't get any coral. Thank you in advance. XD
Having an issue where the piston closest to the concrete powder keeps getting stuck, requiring me to reset it. It's on an SMP- server lag? Any tips?
Okay, so...what's the deal from what you can tell about TNT duping. is it a "Stable feature" or do you think it'll get patched sooner than later, and break things like this?
Is there a schematic or world download for the big boy. I find it easier to build that way rather then switching back and forth between windows.
7:25 automatic maker with tnt dupe
I would love to know more about the use of composters on top of the hoppers.
Thats for lag prevention. If there is no composter on top of the hopper, the hopper permanently searches for items, falling on top. If you have a composter on top, the hopper only searches for bonemeal in the composter
@@henryhausschwein880 oh that makes sense! Thanks :)
very cool machine. concrete is an easy block to build. sadly I am playing on a server that disable tnt duping. how do I get around?
can you make a version of this but not using a tnt duper ? launching the tnt from a dispencer type of system?
Why did u upload this after i did my concrete makerrrr
Can i do something to adjust it for a slower tick server...
Great build. Now how to farm sand?
i play on paper server i wonder if it will work i did build a basic ilmango's tree farm it works on the server it has a tnt duper?
A decent raid farm next pls !
If u want a good one use Rays Works. There are also a couple of simpler ones you can check out including some really easy ones. Just search on yt and you'll find some
will this work on bedrock? i think i would just need to manually dispense TNT, but it looks like it should work on bedrock?
great video, what's the name of the texture pack?
Can the next episode be a wither skeleton farm please?
Are the noteblocks optipnal
Can u make a design for a tileable honey farm? Would be much appreciated.
I think Xisumavoid has a good video on all sorts of honey farms. Mumbo jumbo probably has some good vids on this too.
I know the idea is for Logic to make one, but in case you can't wait here's the one that I use from ilmango czcams.com/video/VF9koLHrVng/video.html
@@Marcucciboy2 good man, but i just wanna see him cover all his bases. Ill check it out once i get enough bee nests on my server
i kept having to tear my down and restart because I can't figure out what he means when he says "over here" or "on this side" đ hoping I get it right this time ahaha
when are we going to get an efficient xp farm...love this channel so much, use it in my server!
You can make an Enderman farm. just look it up on youtube. It's pretty simple. Very effective
Just do an endermen farm
simple shulker farm? mysticat has a simple vid however id love to see one that's even simpler, also a even simpler moss/bone meal farm using moss potentially?
any idea on how to make this work on a server?
Simple trident farm
Any chance I could get a schematic download?
Do you know why the viral fan keeps breaking ?
My dead coral fan is breaking every time a tnt is ignited, what do I do?
Can you maybe make sand/gravel duplicator?
If you build a gold farm and a piglin trading system, you can farm gravel. Sand is still a pain in the butt though for sure.
I need to know, where the fence gates are at, why is there always a open one? I've seen it in a few farms, but I can never figure out what it does.
I believe the first open gate is there to align the tnt properly, and the second one holds it until the tnt can break a more optimal amount of concrete
Maybe I missed it, but what are the top pistons, that are opposite of the ones that push the concrete down, used for?
@Devxn Didn't make sense when watching them work, as I didn't see them "doing" anything. But thanks for the explanation, makes it clearer now why they're there.
Hey, I would love a simple wither skeleton farm!
The 1.14 one is quite simpel to duild
Very very good
There is a slight problem, you face the building block and place concrete powder instead of piston it is so fast that the tnt duper can't keep up with the block placing
The simple solution unfurtunately breaks if you are using a haste 2 beacon. It double fires sometimes. a repeater with two or three ticks delay might be the solution... haven't tried it yet since the loss is only marginal
Me: building this in survival
Geek: 21:34
Me: bruh
I have two issues with the first, simple, farm and need some help.
The first issue is that the dropper ends up being activated twice about 50% of the time (presumably once when the block breaks, and again from the block placement) which means excess concrete powder ends up being dispensed and quickly overloads your offhand inventory. Once your offhand has a full stack the powder goes into your inventory and requires you to manually move things around. If you were doing a massive conversion you could theoretically fill the rest of your inventory up so it just falls on the ground, but not only would that risk despawning some items, if you were doing that much conversion you would probably just use the TNT version to avoid a broken pick.
The second issue is that concrete goes flying all over the place, so some of it ends up in the chest, some of it goes into your inventory, and some of it ends up in a radius around you.
What's weird is that I don't see either of these issues in this video, nor in any other video of any of the many variations of this build. I am playing 1.16.4 Java, single-player / local multi-player with no mods, same pick (Netherite, Efficiency V), no beacon or other potion effects... I don't get it.
I am having this problem, too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much for all your videos.
@@lizbeth0207 I think I figured it out awhile back, but I canât find anyone who can officially confirm it. From my tests Unbreaking III of all things is the issue. All of these videos are missing that enchantment because who cares in a test world, right? By all rights it shouldnât have anything to do with it, but it does according to my in game testing. I imagine it has something to do with the durability loss roll taking priority and offsetting the action order so that you end up just ever so slightly out of sink and seen,t actually placing a block on the same tick it breaks.
Again, I need someone smarter than me to prove why my testing shows this, but I donât know how to get their attention.
In the meantime I simply made a custom pick without Unbreaking III on it and kept it near the machine in an item frame.
The items still fly off in random directions sometimes though, and Iâve never been able to nail down exactly why they do for so many people, but not ever in any of these tutorial builds.
