    I've mentioned to you that I have seen asphalt paving before from the pedestrians perspective. But I've never seen it from the dump trucks perspective, this was freaking awesome. I watched all those hand signals just as you did, I think you and I were in sync. Although I must admit I was surprised he kept having you raise and lower the box a bunch of times. I am guessing some asphalt was sticking to your box, and needed to be given a little what for. And no, Covid didn't go away, as we all know now, its gotten far worse.

    Good morning Dan when you riding your brakes on your dump truck does it hurt the brakes doing the job that you do

    • @dansvlogtrucking
      @dansvlogtrucking  Před 3 lety

      When it comes to brakes, heat is the enemy. Riding the brakes at slow speeds doesn’t necessarily hurt the braking system but of course friction is involved therefore the brakes will need to be replaced eventually

  • @ProjectsandReviewsZone

    Did not know the spreader pushes you. Thanks

    • @dansvlogtrucking
      @dansvlogtrucking  Před 3 lety

      Ya we just ride the brake to ensure we stay against the spreader as it moves us along.

      @its skinny icne just enough so it remains flush with the rollers on the paver pretty much barely applying pressure oh and be sure to roll up your mud flaps before you start

  • @lisajohnson8139
    @lisajohnson8139 Před 3 lety +1

    How do you keep it from binding on the drivers side in the paver? Which way to turn the wheel to correct it?

    • @dansvlogtrucking
      @dansvlogtrucking  Před 3 lety +1

      I know what you mean. We have to very slowly turn away from the paver but not too much that we bind up in the paver

    Hey brother what’s the rules with tri axles in Ga ? I’m looking to purchase a truck but don’t know what allowed

    • @dansvlogtrucking
      @dansvlogtrucking  Před rokem

      In Georgia, a tri-axle dump truck is not recognized. You are only allowed to have the two drive axles and your steer axles on the ground and you’re only allowed to carry a maximum total gross weight to include a vehicle and a load of 64,000 pounds. If you were on an interstate in Georgia you are only allowed to be 53,000 pounds total

    Hauled asphalt for seven years Scale house never helped us out that much signs everywhere says driver is responsible for locating truck under the silo If you weren’t in the right spot they drop it over your tailgate seen them drop it right on top of the cab and hood couple of times especially if it was late at night and they were getting tired
