Always open the tailgate first, if you forget with a loaded tri axle or end dump it can flip if your on a bit of angle
Almost forgot to open the tail gate.
i still remeber when i first droved a tandem truck ,i was just told do this and that but i made it back to the big garage building to park it , the main driver was busy with a dozer clearing out wooden area

He’s the only kid in his school that knows how to operate machinery I bet... I pick my nephew up from school in the trucks sometimes when I’m around. Heheheh. I remember pulling in the parking lot (all buses left so I was able to pull out where the buses came) he got in and we drove out blowing the train horn. Heheheh. He’s a Senior in highschool this year. Gonna take him along a lot more now so he can learn to operate for free instead of going to a place to learn. You got friends or family to teach ya that’s good. So I’m gonna take him a lot more. Gonna try

Airbags, Tailgate, make sure parking brake released, engage PTO. Use lift axle if on a angle
Idk if he missed it or didnt show in the video but the kast dump he didnt lower the suspension. Definitely always open the door first. Can flip you over. Doing a killer job at 16yo. Keep it up man and life will take you places.
I remember when I first drove a Mack truck. I couldn’t even take out the gear without putting in the clutch. Hope he is doing very well on driving trucks like these.

holy molly this is awesome, i have my Class 1A (Saskatchewan Canada) license, and its hard to get experience when nobody's willing to train you, glad your teaching him early, and also o have to watch this cideo so i have an idea how to operate the dump, by the way if your loaded, do u also drive without the clutch or u use it, cause i think its different when u drive loaded?..
ryan meana I have a video Showing step by step how to dump, and yes if you know how to drive without the clutch you don’t use it loaded or empty, shifts are the same just truck takes a bit longer to pick up speed when loaded

So how do you stop the bed halfway up or so if you're wanting to tailgate stone? It seems like the control for the dump only has an up and down position, not a neutral position to keep it halfway up.
It does have a neutral position
After it’s up and you move forward slowly do you put it in first gear ?
He forgot to place the PTO KNOB BACK IN NEUTRAL. VERY IMPORTANT
I always forget to do that. Never had a issue with it staying like that
