    watched a video,took me some time maybe 2 hours to understand, but you make it sound just like I think about the number in my head making it easier to understand where your coming from, so I probably would immaditay understand

    Thanks for that. I'm almost 80, but today was the first time that I've ever made an effort to convert binary to digital or vice-versa. One thing that I have learned is that although there are many sites promising to teach this, the ones that teach it it an easy way are quite rare. Well, my set is now complete. Earlier today I found an EASY way to convert to binary from decimal, and now you have taught me the EASY way to do the opposite. Thanks again. I just have to wonder why are there so many LOUSY ways of doing this. It's outrageous.

    cool, but can you do longer than 8 didgets? can you do 10 or only 16, 32,64 bytes? like a pc?

      Yes, A binary number can be any number of digits. Just remember that the place value doubles with each digit as you move leftwards.

    1:26 I get the 77 but how did you get a 10 exactly?

      The little 10 just denotes that 77 is in decimal (i.e. base 10) and the little 2 denotes that the number is in binary (base 2).

      I think he means the 10 you wrote below the 77.
      That my friend, indicates which number system is belongs to, in this case it is the decimal number system.
      (There are different number systems such as hexadecimal, octal and binary but you can google them later on)
      To expand;
      Decimals (numbers is represented with; 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ---------------- (10 digits) in this system.
      So when we write the number, we write it as (77)10 to indicate that "77" belongs to the "decimal number system"
      I hope i have been clear. :)
