    Ohmygod! My weeks of lecture only worth what about 4 minutes or so?
    They should teach this way seriously. It's more efficient.

    Our teacher lets us use a calculator but converting a hex to decimal is such an immense pain, and with so much room for error.

    ***** turn the Decimal into Binary, break it up into sections of 4, use the appropriate Bit values for HEX (i.e.: 8 4 2 1 | 8 4 2 1) and then add the #'s where the binary bits are on.

      That's great Ongothar!...using a calculator is easier, but you can't use one if you want to take the CCNA exam...and this is for those that need and/or want to take their CCNA.

    Knowledge is power...you DO need an education to get ahead in life. Don't take anyone's word at face value. Make sure you get the right information...ask questions...but don't over analyze things either.
