Why do textbooks complicate this so much?? Reading comments here, it looks like you have helped so many people, not by just making them pass exams but by actually explaining this and making people understand. Having spent days trying to get my head around this concept, the penny dropped in less than a minute of you explaining it. You have my eternal gratitude, not just for this video, but for all your material, especially around Calculus. Well done, Sir, and should be nominated for some Nobel prize of some sort! Not all heroes wear capes!
Couldn't agree with you more "The Organic Chemistry Tutor" is an angel. I'm eternally grateful to him, his videos have helped me continue my pursuate of a degree in Cybersecurity. Without his simplifying of material my professors have chronically overcomplicated, I would not be this far along.
What I have to say on this is that professors make these things too complex because they want to show how good they are by their ability to solve too complex mathematical problems. If they simply explain everything nobody would give them the due respect they think they get when they solve harder shit.

I've had like 6 teacher/professors that have explained binary in a class. For some reason they all either wave their fingers around or just start saying what 001 0010 0100 is in decimal without explaining how you actually get those values. by the 2 minute mark, I've already learned how to mostly do this. Incredible.

I really appreciate that videos like these exist. I can go at my own pace and rewind bits I missed unlike in class where my instructor tends to blow by these concepts for the sake of getting to do hands-on demonstrations, which doesn't help me at all!

It really is amazing how my Professor, someone who’s profession is TEACHING, can take such a simple and straightforward process and explain it in a way that was so hard to follow. Then I watch this and it’s immediately clear in 2 minutes.
