That peak is from the begining of last year. IF we compare both player count in steam at least has gone down and will most likely end up with less players by the end of this one. Unless ofc they find a way to fix every siongle problem the game has
Hideouts asking the community for clips of cheaters just shows he is wildly under equipped to deal with the issue at hand.
If he (and assuming he has a team) his team were able to just replay matches and spectate those who are reported he could be far more affective without having to manually receive clips and play wack a mole.. Reminder that it's not his fault he's setup this way, his employer/EA should offer him a much larger budget and toolset to deal with these cheaters...

They can't really do anything about it. Apex anti cheat is definitely really bad don't get me wrong, but they just make a new steam account and it's fixed. Really the platforms that apex is on need a better system.

@@krimeincorporatedod4895 no it's not. Overwatch was suffering the same problem up until recently where they think they have made an anti cheat that detects their hackers perfectly. Valorant is also at an all time high, but their account system is really good. No other popular competitive games rlly

I have thousands of hours and a good amount of money sunk into the game and I finally stopped playing the game regularly after all the issues with losing stuff on your account. It’s a shame because the new rumble mode and the next season look fun, but I do not intend on coming back to the game until there is some confidence that I won’t lose things on my account every time an update comes out.
same. been a breathe of fresh air if im being honest too. playing and ENJOYING other games has been a very eye opening time. we dont actually have to put up with this dramatic nightmare if we dont want to and i could care less if the game died at this point. sad to see. couldve been the biggest game of all time.

You lose them by not using them while the game is live and active, this game won't be around forever, it may be gone in 1 year, and all you're skins, gone, cant sell the account cause it is no longer worth anything, can't login to the game because servers are completely shut down ect. we don't "own" anything in online gaming, anything purchased online is a donation and not ownership, we get club perks while we donate for various in game cosmetic perks, but once the club gets shut down those perks also go.
So hideouts team is criminally understaffed and yet EA and Respawn keep haveing layoffs. Look idk if apex is worth it at this point. Skins/content can't distract us from the core issues forever.
It will, all the Streamers, CZcamsrs, Whales, and Pro's are part of the problem throwing 3-7 hundred dollars on cosmetics and giveaways. This alone is a good part why this game will not change and end up even worse than what it is now. why fix something when the money keeps pouring in. It's been what 5 yrs. and it has gotten worse not better. Wake Up People.

Solo que is so tough this season, I was getting killed by masters all day yesterday in gold 1 trying to make it 2 plat where I was last season. 70 percent of banner deaths were from masters and diamonds. In Xbox there are people in the “looking for group” section where you can find teammates if your solo queuing, there are always a ton of post literally building 6 and 9 and 12 mans. So trash.
It was never a war… it was a one way shit show where EA and Respawn couldn’t figure out how to make a game where it’s hard to implement them into their game.
My issue is the matchmaking. I’ve been playing since late season 19, and have a 0.4 kd. I’ve had iitztimmy in my pubs lobbies before. I regularly get killed by preds and masters (not season 17) players. Respawn talked about making new modes like mixtape for new player retention in their dev blog a few weeks ago, but they should look to fix their matchmaking first. Every content creator for this game posts clip after clip of them killing players that they frankly shouldn’t be matched with in the first place.

They changed something this season. My kd is half what it was last season. Feels like they reverted the SBMM slots. Not a good change IMO.

I actually hate cheaters like it cant be fun. The whole point of shooters with ranked it to test your skill and reaction times against others. If you just click and do nothing but kill everyone you might as well play a afk clicker game. I get cheating can be fun in solo games like spawning a car in gta san andreas but thats not the same at all.
The tragedy is that there is no honor in the competitive space (for both the casual sphere and the professional sphere) when there is an “incentive” to cheat. With games like Apex (and others like it, Fortnite, Warzone, etc.), the mentality is “do whatever it takes to win” and sadly for too many, it includes cheating. I completely agree with you, I miss the days of putting a cheat code in for a solo game because no one got hurt and devs almost always intended to do that for the fun of it. But when other human players are involved in a competitive space like Apex, cheating is just too big a monster to stop. Basically, gamers who cheat kill the games they play. They’re leeches. And the real tragedy is that they’ll never stop. Every new competitive game that comes out will be plagued with these people. Pandora’s Box was opened a long time ago and there’s no closing it.

@@erickellar5867I won’t claim to know much about anti-cheat software and such, so I’ll admit that I don’t know if Respawn has that in place already. I will tell you that Blizzard did the phone verification stuff for Overwatch 2 and people were pissed or concerned about it, and Blizzard ultimately walked back on that and the game is now free-to-play when it originally wasn’t. If there was a buy-in for these games at the start, MAYBE (and it’s a big maybe) we wouldn’t have this problem, but I think it’s a much bigger issue - people will cheat over anything. When given the choice, they’ll choose to cheat instead of getting better at a game like everyone else.
@@KeiNakagawa7 I do not think its possible to make a new account if you are hardware banned basically means you need a entire new pc to play again. Such bans are pretty rare but should be more common.
Cod warzone also did the phone thing and people should just suck it up and deal with it. Its that or be swamped by cheaters
@@erickellar5867Hardware banning would be interesting to see. I’ve never seen it implemented before, but if I can find an example of it working, I’ll definitely look into it. It certainly would slow cheaters down, especially when they realize that they have to buy new hardware and that financial sacrifice becomes a real burden.
In retrospect, the phone number authentication stuff that Blizzard implemented for Overwatch 2 would’ve solved the Smurfing situation perfectly. I can imagine that a multi-factor authentication method would be brilliant, actually.
They should fix the Cheater problem first. That's the main priority.

Apex is a disaster on a magnitude of levels. Never seen a game in the history of game development by a “AAA” publisher that ran worse throughout its lifespan.
My biggest issue right now is the servers. The game says my servers ping is 21ms-32ms but every game they put me in is 50ms-80ms and I'm playing with people from Mexico and also from Canada. If there are so many people playing the game why cant they put me in games that are closer to me and dont hinder my experiance. Tbh this seems to happen when "I win too much" so maybe the mf are doing it on purpose to make the game harder idk, i dont trust any game company anymore fr
4:40 Most of the new accounts which are recorded as new players are mostly bot accounts. The system does not know how to differentiate. If a proper player count/audit were to be done, the actual count would be considerably lower than the current numbers being put out.
4:12 yeah nothing has changed at all on console. The only thing playable is the firing range because I can set the dummies in the firing range to the same difficulty of my teammates
I commented a couple months ago on Faide's video, how matchmaking is brokey af, and according to his viewers that replied to my comment, it's actually because "you are just bad".
Sooo, akchually, all those screenshots you saw in this video of Diamonds with Golds and silvers - according to pred pros from Faide's comment section - is just cause they're hella bad. Apex MMR is 100% accurate and it decided they should be playing in gold/silver lobbies.

I got killed by aim bot users 3 TIMES in ranked and spotted teamers over 4 times.
Now it’s gotten to the point where i actually FEAR playing ranked.
For the first time ever im legit scared to play something in a online game.
problem is these people get followings for being talented.. then when they get exposed more people notice. Welcome to things as they exist not as they should be. At this point I don't care what invasive program I have to install if it ensures the integrity of the game. Ban the IP, Mac address.. SOMETHING so cheat exploiters have at least a tiny obstacle. We all know these people arnt hackers themselves they have the skillset to download an application.
SBMM isnt working either. Dropped in pubs yesterday and it was all 20 bomb and Masters players. Half of them running hacks and cheats. SBMM is supposed to put me in lobbies where it's fair for me. I'm no where near those kinds of players. Why does it do this?!

When I play EA FC 24 last night I had a pop saying that they sent a code to my email account to confirm it was me before I continue I wouldn't mind If they did that with Apex you will get random pop up saying they sent a code to your email before you can play Apex
They already have hardware bans. There’s interviews of cheaters where they talk about changing their hardware ids. Other comments mentioned ip bans, but ips aren’t static, so essentially it would ban everyone in an apartment complex if one guy cheated.
@@Random_guy788 They already do IP bans and HWID (hardware ID) bans, but it's super easy to get around then, just use a VPN, dynamic IP address, and just spoof your hardware ID. You can easily get around the ban in probably less than 30 mins.
I'm honestly hoping that in season 21, Apex fixes a decent amount of the bugs that we currently have.

Increase the ranked lvl requirement to lvl 5 at this point. Ranked can only queue within 5 ranked tiers. The impact of just those two things would be insane

its actually crazy that hackers are not getting banned yet after buying 10 heirlooms on my account over the years and spending thousands of dollars I got falsely permanent banned for cheating, even though I've never had cheats on my account
Hideouts just needs to watch all group finder lists on console and he will find tons of teamers. I looked the other day and literally every other post is people looking for 6, 9, even saw a 12 man request. Ranked is screwed. Day 2 player here, but man it's just keeps getting harder to play with all the exploits in use.

I know a couple of people who do Apex Unbans, Boosts of all types and cheap apex coins and I just can't figure out how. It's insane how they are somehow doing all of this. Wether it is through an employee or through an exploit.

I stopped playing several seasons ago because of hackers / cheater. Good to see one thing stays consistent with this game.
Ive been hardstuck in plat on console for the last two weeks. I qued up with my two friends who are plat as well and we got into a lobby where the champion squad was the current #1 predator on console (grindonps5) and the #98 current pred or around there. Mind you my friends whos lobby i was in are in new york. So i got back on later and solo qued and got 1 plat teamate and 1 gold teamate and what do you know the same guys were the champion squad again on oregon servers this time. Like how does that make any sense
Just saw a player bunny hopping for like 50 meters across a flat surface in low ranked. Idk, I'm just a regular console player.

I wouldn’t consider game breaking bugs, exploits, broken matchmaking and a major cheat problem little problems.. especially when they fired off a bunch of staff and this all happens. Literally seems like the game has gotten worse every update since ALGS hacks. Just sayin
People are teaming up more and rating because of the legend challenge. The mission " survive [insert number here] ring close" the number os ring to survve got bigger and bigger and players get less and less time to play and add the fact that a lot of players leave because they didn't got the character or just because they are idiots and push stuff and get knock and leave makes people team up with enemies.
Idea: No XP boost until you're level 50 (either gifting requirement or whatever's the requirement for ranked, whichever is higher)

For people who actually like the game, why can't there be VIGILANTE HACKERS whose sole purpose is to hunt down other Hackers in each match and that's it. Make it a war between hackers since Apex really can't do anything about it. We keep talking about the cheater issue season after season when it doesn't matter...
Ok, I played 3 ranked matches and I’m bronze. My teammates were diamond and platinum. I’m not sure how that happens . Make people purchase a battle pass for new accounts , maybe if they have to keep paying to cheat it might slow down at least
A game with 20 tick servers and the cheapest version of EAC on the market isn't fighting against cheaters.
This gm is already dead. Overrun with cheaters that dont have to worry about anything, zero content, and the the abysmal mm. Maybe if yall just played something else for 3 months something will change.

If solo and quads mode are true for season 21 then you get lot of returning players just for those modes those who want just want to play solo and those who want to play as quads in Apex and with new legend and Brooken Moon update it will bring Players in
I've played over 100+ games of 3 strikes already with a 20+% win rate and I've ran into 0 rage hackers :/ its not that bad. What is bad is ranked u get blatant hackers every game

@@pachasnft9954 Yeah i keep running into bots that can barely move properly, or people with 1000+ kills displaying a 2k badge .-. when i get a 3k around 20-30% of my games. I can't really complain cause its "good" for me, but still kinda fked i get to farm these bots that play 5+k games and they can't even get my average damage per game as their damage record
I played a good solid 2 hours of ranked yesterday, about 75% of the matches were against people who had 50, 60000 kills when I only have 10000 they were predator players when i'm only gold, I don't get it.
Been trying to enjoy apex again cause grinded myself out on Warframe and GTA again but literally every lobby I've had a cheater kill me I know the difference between being beat by a good player and being instantly beamed only in the head by a cheater. Console lobbies are flooded and still have PCs getting in their

JM Platinum wall is real because players have no incentive to win = hi elo lobbies are not populated enough (Plat through pred) = scuffed matchmaking even more than usual.

Apex lost the battle to hackers back when destroyer2009 showed up. The fact that anyone still plays the game anymore is beyond me.

The sad thing is that the anti cheat cant even detect the most common aim bots or it takes way to long to do it. And then we have macros and scripts which ima guess will run forever without even being detected. They wont stop falling bahind cheaters If their whole system is based on manual bans.
And btw the game is not growing anymore, peak was at the begining of last year and now its just trying to maintain itself. If anything this year is gonna be worst than last if thing keep going the same way.

Because of the slack on Apex side, the game deserves to be corroded by cheaters. At this point, given the fact that devs seem not caring anymore, i sincerely hope that cheaters will completely tear apex apart. At least this charade will end.
I’m sure it’s more complicated, but can’t they just ip ban? I remember being a OP on a really old Minecraftpe server, and I remember that ip ban stopped them from making a whole new account and joining back… I’m not smart enough for this, but seems easy 🙄

Its not really an apex problem, this is every game now. I think steam should find a way to stop new accounts. If like 40 people make a new account after getting banned on the same IP, you should probably do something about it, but nope. (Respawn could prob do this too though)

Phone verification should make making new accounts a little harder but its just piece of the puzzle

You can make a new brand account and solo no fill the first 4 orientation matches and die to the ai and lose every match and still face master+ player premmade teams in plain pubs.
Honestly only way i see this being fixed is if they do something like csgo has with prime where u make a one time payment to get into lobbies with other players tht also make this payment and eventually less and less cheaters are gonna pay for prime i could see a lot of players having an issue with this and i myself dont really lik it either but it sems lik the bset way to deal with it along with a better anti cheat

I got top 3% and I'm only plat, killed alot of preds in games, still kinda think I deserve higher rank, but the ranked system is just unbearable, the preds ain't the problem, its the entry cost 💀💀

People are ratting and teaming for all these stupid ring closing challenges, its not like they're six manning to get kills or wins they are just passively waiting for ring to close bc they need the ring closings (atleast from what I'm seeing)
