Good to see that you have put a Stone Stomper on. I did my research back in late 2014 looking for something that would keep rocks from damaging front of van and also rebounding off the slope of the mesh and frame on drawbar and hitting my back glass in car. Came across the Stone Stomper and couldn’t be happier. Best thing as it does catch a lot of dust also. Our Stone Stomper was the first one that Christian had
made for a New Jeep Grand Cherokee. Highly recommend them.

Use Lino flooring to line the bottom of draws works a treat and gives a softer surface. No need to glue it in just loose lay it. You will be impressed with it.

I did the Cape trip in '19. Found a good way to properly clean the red dust off the outside..
Buy a 4litre CT18 truck wash concentrate. Buy an 8 litre Bunnings economy sprayer, about $8. You might want to get a bigger one with your van, adjust amount of premix to suit.
Get a 600ml soft drink bottle, fill it 50:50 with truckwash and water. Fill the sprayer with water then put the truckwash mix in.
When you pressurise the sprayer it mixes. With the surfaces dry, spray over everything. LET IT DRY.
Then hose it off from the top down, the red dust falls off. You'll have to hand clean the seal voids around hatches but not a biggy.
Youll want to do the rinsing at a car wash bay because the red dust will be on your concrete otherwise.

We came back from the gulf & cape in late September D.R.is as rough as I have every seen it I was told not much grading due to covis main trouble windscreen damage .We have AOR van no issues. Have great safe Christmas. Cheers Ian.

G'day guys, great tips as always. I have one for you for your drawers to stop them marking, Bunnings have a self adhesive tool box liner, just cut to size, peel off the backing and stick into the drawer or cupboard. I've had it in my van for just over a year and it works great. Merry Christmas & a safe and happy new year

Hi again Justin. Hubby just watching your video with me again. For all your hose fittings he recommends using Hoselink fittings. You will never have leaks or hoses blowing off under pressure. We have used Hoselink for years on our van and at home...all their products are first class. You cannot buy in shops, you buy direct from Hoselink with free delivery. Merry Christmas to all of you.

It's great when you have good gear and it does what it's supposed to do. You do travel heavy and on those roads you need everything going for you. Watching Cam on Wild Touring, got a cheap canopy and has serious cracks all through it. It's a throw away job when he gets back. Fair dinkum though, just keeping the speed down a bit whether towing or not has to be one of the biggest favours you can do yourself, the gear and other track users. So with that pressure fan no more taping over vents in the van. Just shut the door and go. Sounds so good.

Love your set-up and the fact you can run your air conditioner from the lithium battery gear.
That makes me wonder....so a question:
Have you ever considered running the air conditioner whilst you're driving along....you'd arrive to a nice cool van and the batteries would still be 100% because of the solar plus the DC2DC charger working while you're driving too.
It is a pain in the arse when you get to a camp spot at the end of the day and the van is like an oven inside.
We have the 300ah of lithium, but would need a bigger inverter (only have 1800 watt at present) PLUS we'd need to get a more energy-efficient air conditioner. We have a 2012 Bushtracker and towed by our Chevy Silverado.

wow!! loved the video mate! it is always fun to see the differences in your caravans there and the ones we have here in the US. they look a lot alike on the outside but sure are not the same, i see the water system is way different. we need to have the stone blocker here, that looks great! But the cost of travel it seems is really high there. using powered pay sites, my tow vehicle is petrel (gas), food and all we never spend more than $150.00 a week at the very most. But if we use the solar or generator with no pay sites the cost is like 50 dollars or even less a week. my truck towing the caravan gets 17 miles to the gallon and 23 alone... i love some things i see in yalls caravans and some stuff i love about ours. as always !! yall stay safe and keep the uploads going! cheers!

You run the aircon on fresh air and then change back to recirculated air when a vehicle is coming the other way and you will drive through their dust. I think my dads 200 has a button that switches to recirculated air for a short time and then changes back.. Might be worth checking the user manual for that one.

Thanks for all your efforts. this series was fantastic. an honest look at the cape. if i was too only watch CZcams. i would be thinking that you must tackle Gunshot to get there. plus the other tourists you showed at all the attractions. their not seen in a normal 4x4 youtube video. and the "towns" you stay at. all i ever hear is, fill up your jerry cans at Cairns, then your on your own. Good Luck !!!

Use a brass 15mm line strainer before the plv ... pressure limiting valve... or you can use a filter washer as used on a washing machine tap connection instead of of the washer in the hose connection pretty cheap so buy 5 or so and clean them out with a toothbrush or you can use ya wife’s stockings as a filter... stockings are used by commonly to filter airbrush paint straight from the bottle so airbrush don’t clog up... And don’t forget to remove and flow restrictors from the shower heads and taps and give any aerators taps a scrub with a toothbrush to fix water flow issues. Plumbers secrets revealed lol

Great video Justin! Thank you, for all the people who follow you in other parts of the world could at some point you give thick people like me a run down of some of the Aussie stuff ? For example the different surfaces that you mention, I know most of it is common sense but it would be great to know and another example why is called a Tinney ? As a Brit 95% of what you talk about is the same it’s just the odd thing, please don’t think I’m taking the piss mate I’m not at all it just would bE really nice to know. Thanks again, Giddy up ! 🤟🏼🍻

Hi mate, with the dust coming in, as you have had the vehicle converted to a dual cab, have the people that modified it refitted the rear ventilation? This is a common cause on crew cab conversion.

Hi Justine, I have been watching your videos for quite a while and have (over time) become more inspired to get out there and travel. I have been looking at Vans and have been doing a lot of research. One of the options is a Jayco, however, you mention in this Video that you are going to swear when y6ou mention the Jayco shop . Why is this? Are these vans not suited for travel in Australia ?
