    According to PRS, the birds on this guitar are:
    Peregrine falcon
    Marsh Hawk
    Ruby Throated Hummingbird
    Common Tern
    Coopers Hawk
    Kite
    Sparrow Landing
    Storm Petrel
    Hawk Landing
    Screech Owl On A Branch (24-fret models only)
    - It's still a crime that Kanami doesn't have her own signature PRS model yet.
    Miku does has a custom/signature Zemaitis model.
    It's the "Flappy Pigeon" (and no, I'm not making this up).
    It has beautiful inlay work, and a couple of Miku related Easter Eggs. : )

But they have beat all of them of them for sheer number of songs I love from one band. Just amazing! I hope so much I can somehow see them live someday.

MISA with the cool bass lines as usual. Another Band-Maid first listen keeper. Your Daydreaming if you think Band-Maid isn't the best all around Rock band on earth. Peace.

    Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile -- an unbelievable range of mid-tempo songs from the greatest hard rock band on the planet - Band-Maid. "Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle," and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. • @CaptainFaceBeard
      @CaptainFaceBeard  Před 2 lety +6

      There are so many myths and misconceptions around singing that people have been made to believe it's some magical thing your voice does, that all the stars have to align for on your birth to channel the right spirit into you to be able to do it. In it's simplest terms, Singing is sustained speech on a pitch.
      Saiki, is such a good example of that in this song. She makes it look completely effortless because it IS,. It is meant to be effortless. You can actually see this for yourself with Christmas songs. The ones that you know SO well you don't even have to take any conscious thought to remember the lyrics. Taking one of those songs, and at first speaking along with the song in a projected but not strained "Announcer Voice" you start to see it. If you continue sustain the words a bit longer, and gradually make that more musical you can perfectly see how singing is just speech. Though it will be difficult to transition from that voice, into your "Head Voice" for most people. The basis of singing can be easily grasped and pitch recognition can be greatly improved, in even a short period of time if it is gone about in the correct way.
      Music is a learned skill, the only thing holding anyone back from learning it is Determination, and in some cases something that would physically keep them from being able to (severe injury ECT). Not even so called "Tone Deafness" can keep someone from being able to learn. Most people who think they are "Tone Deaf" think so because they can tell they sound horrible singing. That is not Tone Deafness, not if you can tell the pitch is way off. There are people who have Clinical Tone Deafness, and I even know of a Doctor working with one of those people to teach them how to sing. They have been scanning the persons brain while doing this, and noticed the pathways that recognize Pitch are getting stronger. Sorry, I am very passionate about the Demystification of Music.

      @@CaptainFaceBeard My music teacher in high school was a trained opera singer. She always said anyone can sing or learn to sing, some people have just naturally beautiful voices. Being able to belt it out with range and have: tone/pitch/enunciation is the hard skill. There are so many great singers in rock and metal, but many get overlooked due to the singing style they use for the band. eg- I'm no fan of say the band _"Disturbed"_ but then I saw a live performance of _"The sound of silence"_ (cover) on a late-night TV show, and the singer had the flu. I was like WOW that guy can really sing and has an incredibly unique voice.

    Tiny Hat-kun? I have never heard that but... Drummer: Akane, Lead Vocals: Saiki, Lead Guitar: Kanami, Base: Misa, 2nd lead vocals, Miku. Kanami writes most of the music, they all contribute to the lyrics, Miku is the founder of the band but Akane is more the leader. Miku worked in a "Maid-Bar" where they wore maid uniforms, which is where she got the idea. I have to admit that I have a special fondness for Kanami, partly because of her mastery of the guitar but also because she is dang pretty (got a thing for thigh high (or in her case just beyond knee-high) stockings. I don't think these ladies have a bad song. The birds on the guitar, I was thinking doves, but... that's been answered... Keep on watching them. Tiny Hat started as part of MISA's costume for about a month or two. You can see her wearing it in their earliest photo shoots. MISA quickly ditched the hat and the maid outfit and Tiny Hat was picked up by Akane until it retired about three years ago. Akane said it was to hard to secure with her style of drumming.

      I can imagine it would be hard to keep there when you are moving around that much. I will miss you Tiny Hat, even though we only recently met.

      I think people in the comments of other songs said there was only one Band-Maid song that is in an anime. The song is called Sense, and is in the anime Platinum End. Which I am going to guess is still only in Japanese as the song just came out in October. czcams.com/video/1HJ6knGA42s/video.html There is our reaction to it. It's a really great song.

    One of my consistently favourite songs from their earlier period. Unlike some Band Maid MV's or songs lifted from a DVD to make an official live video, the video to Daydreaming does not cut every half second and excessively use spin camera.

    • @CaptainFaceBeard
      @CaptainFaceBeard  Před 2 lety +1

      I have seen more than a few videos like that from a bunch of different bands. They usually have multiple cameras when filming these, that should be avoidable, but I have seen so many videos taken from DVD's that are like that. I wonder if there is a reason that they get edited like that.

    • @Glynthepin
      @Glynthepin Před 2 lety

      @@CaptainFaceBeard This is my view on this subject and may not be correct. The video editor thinks they are being creative to the point where the cuts are so frequent that they cut to five different shots of other things why there is a guitar or bass riff lasting 3 seconds. The editor thinks I am not showing the instrument being played I am being radical and am pandering to the generic 'Millennials' with their short attention span. The result of this is what we are being presented with all too frequently. I understand budget plays a large part but you would thing looking back at videos from early MTV days, the hapless video editor could draw on years of videos made on a budget to produce a MV so much better than the spin camera and fast cuts. 😀

      That is one thing that can throw us off doing these videos. We aren't sure which time period of the band we are seeing. It's that thing where when you see something for the first time, even if it's from 6 years ago, you think it's knew. If you know what I mean.
