    All my mushrooms incubate in my bedroom closet. They fruit in a small tent in my garage that has heat and humidity controlled. In the winter the garage stays from high 50 F to mid 60 F in the summer I grow heat loving varieties.

    Good visualization of this concept. Few remarks and a question if I may: early fruiting could be a sign of contamination in the half colonized bag. For a more definitive experiment you could do a larger sample size, like three bags vs three bags or more ;). Question: you are not using Unicorn or SacO2 bags, which bags are you using and where do you source them? Keep making videos, we can never have enough shroomers making content!

    I'm using a gray none see through storage tub with a heat mat in it and it's always at 21-24c so it's perfect for winter time. Just using a cheap standard heat mat that doesn't have a temp timer. You don't need fancy stuff to grow some mushrooms like most people say

      True, but I like to have control and see whats going on inside (esp. conmatnation issues...) ;)

      @@HappyMushrooms hopefully I will have one of those cool mushroom set ups like you do. I know it cost some good money to set up but say it's worth every buck.

    Nice comparison. Also starting to grow lions mane and adjusting best process. Is there important around humidity in room , since mycelium is growing closed in bags , where humidity is high ?

    • @HappyMushrooms
      @HappyMushrooms  Před 2 lety +3

      There is no humidity control needed as long as they grow in the bags

      When you cut the bags after full colonization a lot fresh air is needed as they "breath" a lot;) even in a big fruiting tent (2.4x2.2x1.8) with just 4-6 bags I need to replace air 2-3 times a day

    You need to mix the bag around when you see the first spots

    Great tutorial video as always; I have a question? I am growing Lions Mane at the moment and going very well, except for that the colour is a pale pink on 2 blocks. I have had this before but they turned back white again and produced nice mushrooms. I am torn between humidity but my grow tent is set at 95%, and fresh air exchange, I have mine set at 1 minute on every 10 minutes. Fresh air in at the top and extract on low constant at the bottom. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Many Thanks, Tom

      Thank you. fresh air and high humidity... that sounds actually very good, but still getting deformation/pink colour? Do you have a co2 measuring device? Another option is to store them a little higher as CO2 concentrates on the bottom first.

    I have two master’s mix bags inoculated, patiently waiting to see some growth. How long were yours mycellinating the bag?

    • @HappyMushrooms

      It depends on the Temperature and amount of spawn(and its distribution). It everything is fine it takes about 2 weeks, sometimes 3

      Thank you mate, you can use this for calculation: f.E. 1Kg beech pellets, 200g wheat bran, 1,6l water this will result in 60% humidity
