AHeadset Installation

Installing a threadless headset (AHeadset) on the Kona Muni-Mula.
The Aheadset contains the upper and lower sections, star nut to put into the steering tube and the headset cap and bolt to preload the bearings.
Always put grease on the headtube and bearings to prevent seizing and corrosion.
Let’s begin with the installation of upper and lower cups
The fork already has the star fangled nut and crown race installed. However, the seal doesn’t fit with it (the crown race), therefore, it has to be replaced with the one that comes with the headset.
Place the seal on the fork and finish it up by putting the rest of the parts in order.

any idea why a ritchie logic threadless headset would utterly lock an old marzocchi bomber into the frame? the fork will NOt come loose as if a lock ring is holding it in? i can’t pull the top cap/ring of headset that hold the bearing in? would it be so tight as to not come free with hand level effort?
