Castlevania is a game series with really enjoyable boss battles, expecially final bosses. So I thought to make a collection of every final boss coming from that series, from the very first Castlevania, to Lords of Shadow 2 (when it comes out), every spinoff included, except for the Pachinko games and Encore of The Night (of which I can't find any gameplay video). So yeah, here's part one, spoilers alert obviously.
Thanks to all the CZcamsrs whose gameplay is included in these videos, expecially Shadowserg, since a lot of the final bosses are fought by him.

The intro was awfully long indeed.
While far from his coolest looking form, it's hard to argue with the hype of Castlevania 4's.
That theme shift...
The original Castlevania's final boss is most memorable and most epic to me. After I beat him for the first time, I really felt a sense of accomplishment. But after you beat him once and become familiar with his attack patterns, he becomes pretty easy.
I still can avoid hime when he teleports just where you stand. I mean, he does it too fast: one frame too late and you are lost. He is never that fast in any other Castlevania game.
Even though he's such an easy fight, Dracula in Simon's Quest looks badass.
He doesn't seem like Dracula more like death (his face)
@@RakeshSharma-dv5zc I can't imagine I'd look much like myself if someone took me out of the oven 100 years before I was done. Besides, he had a different design in almost every game, like how he was ginger in IV and looked more like how he was described in Bram Stoker's novel in Symphony.

That's one of my favorite things about Castlevania, the remixes of old musics for the sake of nostalgia. I love that.

I'm still trying to figure out Dracula's strategy in SC4: "I'm going to kill you, but here's some chicken in the middle of battle"?
Probably something along the lines of fattening up the sheep, before the slaughter.

i kinda think that it isn't like,,, chicken, but the energy and essence of his attack, since why tf would there be chicken in a castle? i always read it as finding vials of holy water or energy, lingering spirits of good and using that to reinvigorate yourself. it's just shown to us, the player, as chicken... idk

The most exciting part of these battles is seeing what monstrosity Dracula turns into after you beat him once!
I think the best transformation scene in this video was 21:37, especially because of the music!

Design-wise Symphony is my favorite, but the best battle is definitely Dracula X Chronicles'.
God I love every game's final boss but Super Castlevania 4 has always felt the most epic.
I'll just say: Super Castlevania 4 has the best Dracula Battle in the history of gaming. Best themes, best mechanics, totally mediocrely hard in terms of final boss difficulty and needless to say, FUCKING LEGENDARY.
No wonder SCV4 is my favorite game of all time.
Actually that Dracula is pretty easy.
Gotta pretty strongly disagree. Its an epic Dracula battle, but have you played Rondo of Blood? That Dracula battle is better. C3's Dracula battle is even better. Bloodlines also has a better Drac battle. I like IV, but that game is just a bit overrated when compared to other Castlevanias man.

I love how the Vampire Killer's Dracula looks intimidating and scary, and his eyes show bloodlust, unlike the later "pretty boy" Dracula we got....
I love how the difficulty on the first games was because of the game itself limitations / controls
If anyone has beaten the 1st castlevania boss without getting hit deserves a Ring of varda, friggin difficult for me because I didn't have enough hearts to spam him with my crosses.

In super castlevania 4, you can probably just use diagonal whip and then let it flail for the fireballs.

1:04 Castlevania (NES): A hard intro. to a Dracula finale. (Except if you bring Holy Water Tier III)
2:35 Vampire Killer (MSX): WAY TOO LONG of a fight to be considered classic and legitimately hard.
6:24 Simon's Quest: A very average battle with nothing special to say, like the game itself.
6:45 Vampire Killer (Arcade): Fight him in a specific pattern, he's easy. If not.... may your charge be at its mercy.
7:49 Castlevania The Adventure: Quite a challenge, but not that memorable.
8:30 Dracula's Revenge: Oh no... This fight. Definitely memorable in terms of hardness, the fact that you have to do through the whole stage, and 3 FORMS of Dracula without dying to beat the game. You need to be an expert to beat this one. The hardest of the bunch..... right?

12:45 Belmont's Revenge: Tedious, pretty dam hard (DAM those spikes), but a fairly made Dracula regardless.
14:55 Super Castlevania 4: This is the best Dracula battle. It's atmospheric and memorable. It's challenging but not too hard or easy. And the buildup to the finale is simply epic, especially with the change of tonal shift from Dracula to Simon's theme. No Dracula battle is better than this one. (16:42 I Think you're overfeeding Belmont a bit too much Dracula)

20:18 Castlevania Chronicles: Well-made recreation of Castlevania 1. Can't help but see this as not as memorable or legendary as the original, however.

It's pretty much identical to Chronicles, so I left it out.
Fair enough, although depending on if you have a midi-board and the right synth module the x68000 one does have a good soundtrack, not sure if you can emulate it either though
