This game gives the impression to be easier than the Famicon counterpart. @Shadowserg, am I correct?
The mummies are way easier on this version
"Let's pray that the evil mind of human beings will not let Dracula come to life ever again..."
Dracula: I was called here by humans who wish to pay my tribute.
Simon: 😑
Darn those humanbeings and their evil mind!
Richter: Tribute? You steal men's souls and make them your slaves!
Man those got to be the slowest victory orbs in the entire series.
Man, Dracula is *FREAKY* in this game!
His first phase is some kind of undead freak.
His second phase is this big offputting portrait coming to life.
He's like a freakin rib flasher. Weirdo.
Maybe it's his bones
This reminds me of Shadowserg’s early days when his channel was full of no damage boss fight videos of various Castlevania bosses!😄🤩😎👌
Must be nice not having to deal with a timer like the nes version.
The final boss is awesome... This should be on NES as the third phase dracula
phase 3 on Castlevania 3 Dracula fights similar.
@@hdofu youre right, play similar too
@@hdofu Yes, his Pazuzu form
@@hdofu Phase two of Dracula on Haunted Castle is even more similar
You know I'll fight is badass when you can beat him without getting hit and still make it seem like the fight is tough as nails.
The amount of patience this had to take was no doubt legendary, especially Frankenstein.
Dracula's theme was remixed in Bloodlines as the music before the first boss.
It's in the first level as you climb the staircase
@@youisiaint Yes
It actually came from CV1 (Famicom /first .
@@nesking3115 oh.
The Dracula fight first phase looks like it is a lot easier than in Castlevania since you can duck under the fireballs instead of needing to perfectly time the jump over all three.
In the NES version the fireballs aren't that much of a problem because they can be destroyed/blocked by the whip and subweapons .
Subbed to you awhile ago cause you're so good at these games
Did anyone else think Dracula's first form looked like a T-800?
Your channel is gold.
Dracula looks like a skeleton
Maybe this was one of those times when he didn't resurrect by himself (he does naturally every one hundred years) but by other means. He usually is weaker (or that they say...) when other people does it for him.
Oh, well, after 1999 he doesn't have that problem anymore XD
Wow this is so awesome and cool😎
Think you'll ever do Zero Wing, aka the "All your base..." game, since you like shmups? There are a couple boss videos already, but they're low-quality and don't give the bosses' names.
I wish this game had been on the Castlevania Anniversary Collection
Excelente
guau eso es una verdadera joya de los videos juegos .... gg
Epic
Is the “young man” Simon Belmont?
Well yes
Simon Belmont, not beltmont
Эх, проходили это творение на ямахах в компьютерном клубе, один управлял, а другой бил и прыгал.
Damn Frankie’s got some swagger
I have an MSX2 ,with a CIB copy of “Vampire Killer “..
Dracula... actually flashes you in this game. You even see his bon- ... nevermind.
👏👏
6:40 picture dracula facehead
The final boss music sounds quite familiar
👏👍
Yes my friend, you are being Canstlevanianed.
You too fell for the title.
I don't know what I expected too under "Vampire Killer" 🤣
So... the little guy with the Frankenstein monster is...
.
Dr. Frankenstein?
🤯🤯🤯
It's Igor the hunchback
@@leketeke10 lol 😹😹😹
Or was it Fritz?
Kidding, it's Igor.
Now, it's prnounced EYE-gor.
@@SpinDONGURI Werewolf? "There....wolf."
"Suit youself, I'm easy."
I've got to Death... once :/
I'm playing this tonight in a drunk fury on my PSC. I played it a few times I can't get used to the different latency compared to nes. I really like this game, I reccomend it even for us nes snobs, contra is another. Any one know where I can get metal gear games roms for msx translated ?
I have one but it's the original "penetrate the enemy's Outer Heaven" version. I recommend you search for the Metal Gear pc Collection wich has a good translation of the original Metal Gear, MGS 1 and 2.
Looks and sounds better than the nes port
What does the shield does in-game? Despite looking cool.
It protects you from projectiles
@@TheTrueBro Zelda II like I imagine.
Just as in Simon's Quest. I get the feeling that this game borrowed a lot from this one, things like the shield (Dracula's rib) and the hearts being currency/having to purchase items from vendors rather than finding them.
What FPS does this game run at
6
I’m unfamiliar with this game. What’s the difference between this and Castlevania? They look nearly identical
levels have chests and power ups like a shield and other stuff its more like a reboot before it was cool
Also, Dracula has a different final phase.
This game is more of a port of the original Castlevania with a few differences!
Death has a portrait of the most interesting man in the world in his chamber? Stay thirsty, my friends!
Is it true that this was going to be Castlevania 2 before Simon’s Quest came out?
No, it have the same bosses as the nes version, same soundtrack but with a different soundchip etc
@@leketeke10 I was wondering about that. Maybe I’m thinking of a different game
Dude, this game is a port of the original Castlevania game for the FDS and NES!
Gargona make color purple
This vampire killer” thing is a castlevania clone!
Eric Heck It was made by the guys who made Castlevania, genius. Just looks and sounds different because of different hardware.
Konami really needs to sue these clowns!
No? This actually came a year before Castlevania on the NES was released. This is the original Castlevania in Japan
Dude, this game is a port of the original FDS and NES version for the MSX!
I played in Dynavision lol
Casuvania
Pls do more Sonic. Sonic fans want more Sonic stuff. I only into Mario stuff and Sonic stuff. Pls
Is castlevania
Wow these bosses are pretty tanky!
Lmao the hardest in the series in my opinion
6:38 King Diamond
The final boss is a *LARGE PAINTING?* 8:36
Isn't that a bit lame?
No
The painting looks really good for an 8 bit game
It's lame only if you are ten yro kid that hates old games bcuz they are old.
@@frozennoodles1728 It does at that, for 8-bit graphics.
¿This is not a copy of Castlevania?
It’s a port!
@@ashkirby8896 ¿What is?
This game, it’s the MSX port of the original Castlevania!
@@ashkirby8896 Are you telling me this is castlevania with a different look and name?
@@sr.n7390 yes
even the title screen says © Konami 1986 who also made Castlevania
Is this a rip-off of "Castlevania" something from an alternate reality?
It's castlevania before it was castlevania eventually I think they renamed it to castlevania tho...
@@FabledMayham230 This is a port of the original Castlevania for the FDS and NES!
@@FabledMayham230 It has the same enemies & level designs as the original "Castlevania" game I played on the NES in the 1980s but I don't remember the game having the title "Vampire Killer". & the protagonist (was it Simon or other Belmont?) had no shield in the NES version.
Vampire Killer was released for the MSX computer in Japan shortly after Castlevania I release for the Famicom Disk System (the fds version is the one release in America for the NES).Both games had the same title Akumajo Dracula.
So it is not a remake but a parallel version (like Ys IV for PC Engine and SNES), both games were developed around the same time .
It would not be the last time Konami would produce two parallel versions of the same story.
Until Igarashi retconned the Castlevania timeline Adventure and Dracula's curse told the same story: the battle between Dracula and Christopher Belmont as told in Castlevania I manual.
According to japanese producers Trevor (Ralph in Japan) real name was Trevor Christopher Belmont/Trevor C. Belmont.
Like Loto/Erdrick in Dragon Quest he was known in later generations by another name.
This version sucks. Nes is better
I like the Dracula from nes better.
