- Every day little Stella's confidence around humans grows. When she first came in, we couldn't even be in the same room as her without her panicking.
But will she accept a hug?

3 weeks has seen soooo much progress, she may still be in pain too. There’s even eye contact now ❤️
Tissue contracts as it's healing so I'm sure she's also overall uncomfortable.
You're hard on yourself Niall. You're doing beautifully with Stella. I admire your perseverance.
💯
Ah it can just be a little frustrating at times. Thats why we don't want to edit the videos too much. Better showing the real thing
@@wearehappydoggo TIP: Don't make your frustration her problem...
She has so much trauma. It’s definitely a marathon, not a sprint. She’s with the best people imaginable to help her. So much gentleness, patience and love. ❤️
That's BS Niealaaa doesn't understand he's putting in a more confined area. I couldn't believe what and how he was traumatizing her even more. He said he wouldn't use food as bait, but then he did exactly that. That move hurt my soul and I had to pray that Nieala would stop the abuse. I love what those people at Dogo do, they're not infallible though. Many blessings to all of them and you too!
3 Weeks is nothing, you have done amazing with little Stella.... You love to see it 😍
Stella is beautiful, it's still early days. My little dog found me 13 years ago when she was about 6 months old, beaten and very ill. Like Stella with noise and sudden movement, she was petrified. One day, when Stella works everything out, she will hear a scary noise, and instead of bitting or running away, she will come to you for protection. My little Suki now has so much trust in humans, but even after 13 years, if she hears something that reminds her of her past or scares her, she jumps and rushes straight to me. Stella will get there in her own time, and she will never forget who helped her. You can see she is sweet and wants to be friends, but has been abused and is trying to understand. Thank you Nial and team for giving Stella a chance. Time is a great healer. X
Don't Push because you "need" to show progress in a video. We will wait until it is Her time. Easy on the eye contact.
Physically, she looks so so much better! She's been through significant trauma so there's a lot going on in that little head of hers. I'm really proud of her for letting you pick her up. Very good girl. Thank you for you and your staff!
❤❤🙏🙏🥰🥰🫶🫶🐶🐶🐶
She is so beautiful and seems to trust you. Kudos to you for your patience with Stella❤
Stella's story broke my heart so it's so heartwarming to see how much progress she's made in just 3 weeks. I love you Stella!
Thank you, Niall, for your continued patience and understanding. You are doing nothing wrong , trust your instincts, as they are spot on! Just ask the dogs , although they cannot "speak" to us. The language of love you speak is universal.
I believe they understood when we talk...but we don't understand what they say...
Just makes me heartsick what happened to Stella. God sent you all to save her. Bless you all for your work
Yeah would be worse if we hadn't found her, Can't even think of that
Don't give up on her. She's amazing.
Look how far she has come. Poor baby. She’ll be the best loving once she lets the fear go. ❤❤❤Niall you are amazing. We can never get bored of watching you. I think people use food and then abuse them. That’s probably why she is this way. She’ll come around
Poor girl awful that she has gone through such trauma. But your patience will win out I'm sure. Thank you Niall
She’ll get there in the end . Gorgeous little Stella you can see how nervous and anxious she is . Poor little soul ❤️❤️❤️ you’re doing great Niall 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful Stella, her life has now changed forever, for the better. All thanks to Happy Doggo’s, you are angels 👼
She will like a head massage with your fingers for a bit, like what you are doing Niall, for an uninterupted longer time😊
Watching this done with Rocky Kanaka (shelter traumatised dogs), and his explanation for doing it, is well worth trying💜
Stella's wound must have been very deep for the long healing process
I feel, once her wound is fully healed ( no pain anymore), she will be fully focused on receiving the help for her mind/psychological traumas 💜
You are all full of the love, care, patience and compassion these beautiful dogs need
Love you all 💜☀️😊🇬🇧
Yes…I was thinking that as well. Rocky has endless patience and he’s learned a lot about the best ways to make friends with traumatised doggies. Also watching from the Uk….Edinburgh to be precise. 👍🏼
I watch Rocky too! ❤
Me too I watch Rocky! 😊❤
@@jowhite4048 ❤️❤️❤️
@@carronalee Big Hugs to lovely Edinburgh from a huge fan. 🙂
It's just time and patience, she's doing so well ❤❤❤
This is truly one of the best animal rescue centers. They do much needed life-saving work but need each viewers' help to continue. Hope & sympathy alone don't feed or house animals in need unfortunately, and every cent to these animals in need is a matter of life and deth. Plz choose life for these animals and seriously consider donating, either this rescue center or one of your choice even if just a small amount. Rescuing animals is definitely a worldwide community effort...Plz join this noble effort.
Agreed. I donate to many different environmental groups and rescue organizations.
Thank you for all you're doing for this precious little soul, Niall! ❤❤❤
Stella has come a long way! She will eventually trust, but one can’t blame her, for her hesitation. She’s so adorable, and you wanna just hug her and tell her everything is okay. She’ll eventually come around, and hopefully find a forever family who will spoil and dote on her, and give her the life she so rightly deserves. Much love to this team of rescuers; you are all amazing!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
My dog, Shade, was 5 weeks old, farell, found in the woods. He 6 years old now. On windy days is very anxious. If the wind blows it, he is afraid and barks. You and your team do fabulous work. I hope I can learn something for Shade through Stella. ❤️
I am proud of Stella. It can be hard and a very long process to learn that the world is not always a scary place. My little guy can still be reactive to loud and sudden noises.
I am also proud of y'all for never giving up. And for not being afraid of showing the not pretty parts of rescue and rehabilitation.
I’m actually amazed she’s even allowed head pats tbh. She’s doing AMAZING considering she’s still uncomfortable too. Well done all! ❤
Still a long way to go. But Stella will get there in the end. ❤️❤️
It must be like severe PTSD bless her heart. 😢
TY for showing us the reality of rehabilitating an abused dog. It’s hard work with lots of struggle. Stella is making progress thx to your care and patience. Lucky puppy
You are amazing ❤❤❤ I love Stella
Best wishes to Stella, and thank you so much for your obvious kindness and love for hurting animals. The wickedness of some monsters, (humans), knoes no bounds.
Oh Stella, you are so lucky. You almost didn't make it. Niall has faith in you. And we have faith in Niall!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think you and Stella are amazing. She has come so far already. She trusts you. She is so lucky and it’ll take time. You know her more than we do watching these clips.. so happy for her progress so far ❤
She's such a sweet looking puppy. Than you for helping hef. She clearly loves Rusty! Can't she stay and live with him. So sweet.
Beautiful girl. Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving Madam Stella! You are doing a fantastic job.
Nothing wrong Thank you for caring and for the patience. GOD BLESS YOU and all the animals
Poor Stella, her life must have been awful. My heart breaks for all the street dogs. Your patience and kindness is so wonderful to see. Stella will be ok in your care, I thank you.
Poor little girl, she hasn’t forgotten the bad times but she’s in a fantastic place and she’ll soon forget and be happy. ❤
You are just amazing with these poor traumatised dogs, thank you so much.
Poor Stella, her neck looks sooo painful. She's come so far, amazing little girl.......all in her own time, slowly slowly ❤❤❤❤
Little Stella still so wary, bless her. You are all doing amazing with her and she will be one happy, relaxed and confident girl eventually.🙏
I spent almost a year working with a feral cat who decided to live on my screened in back porch. Just feeding in the beginning, getting a tiny bit closer some days, getting bitten and scratched when I pushed him too far. I sat with him for hours when he would allow me to, talking softly, encouraging him to trust me. After finally being able to get him to my vet for neutering, blood tests, etc., he's now Domino, a beautiful, big (about 16 lbs!), chunky love bug boy. I also have 2 senior female cats, and they get along fine. It was a long, LONG journey, frustrating and disappointing at times, but so worth it. Wish you could see him, beautiful long-haired black and white with the cutest "Groucho Marx" mustache. ❤ I'm so lucky!
Poor little girl…. She is still so frightened, but you are doing so brilliantly with her. She’ll be such a beautiful little doggy - warm salty water is very good for infected wounds - but I’m sure you already know that. God bless you.
So many poor animals are suffering caused by humans, we humans are supposed to care for them, this little girl is so blessed you rescued her. God bless you more Naill& staff ❤️🙏❤️🩹
In our work we use mentor, calm, happy, balanced dogs to help our new dogs build trust, relax, meet new people and dogs and learn to walk on leash. I wonder if Rusty in a small area could help her build trust with you and the team. These highly traumatized dogs are super sensitive to sound and movement as you know. You are doing brilliantly and yes you do have to move them forward but we all have to stay calm and breath and release tensions and feelings yourself or Stella will sense it and react, I see huge changes.
You can see she genuinely doesn’t want to hurt you…making huge progress… well done to you and your team. ❤️
Yeah she doesn't want to actually bite but she gets mighty close sometimes!!
@@wearehappydoggo poor girl, it’s her coping mechanism…but you can tell she’s slowly gaining trust in you guys! Your amazing you really are xxx
Agree with you Niall, I think patience is key but boundaries have to be broken down in very small steps too. Poor little girl, all she's known is trauma and pain. She'll get there. She's a really beautiful dog. Hope the rest of her neck heals quickly. You've got this Stella ❤
Poor sweetie. She’s obviously been through things we can only imagine. I’m grateful that she has you. All I can say is keep on being patient ❤❤. Hugs to Stella.
really breaks my heart to think of how much fear she has dealt with. dogs (and animals) are a reflection of humanity's capacity for cruelty but also love 😭thank you for saving her
If only all humans were asoving and patient as you!! God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You and Stella are doing great brother ! Thank you and don't give up or get frustrated. She is worth it, she is beautiful.
This is wonderful information Niall. She's hyper vigilant, isn't she? You're truly a dog whisperer. Will she be up for adoption? She's got 'soft' eyes...with enough time perhaps she'll love some human one day. You're a marvel Niall. God bless.
Yes, precisely. That is what trauma will do to all humans and animals. 😢
I, personally, am hyperviligant from my traumas. God bless you too kind and understanding commenter. ❤
You're keeping it real, Niall, while doing the hard, patient work.
Thank you for sharing this moment with little Stella without expectations of her but just being
Beautiful people like this man give me hope. Don’t worry there is no perfect way to help Stella, your love and kindness will reach her. There is already so much progress.
I like that she's finally experiencing love and safety. You do good work and your videos aren't boring at all
Never ever doubt yourself you and your team are doing wonderful work xxx ❤
Patience + perseverance = progress!
Nobody said it would be quick!
Very well done!
Amazing progress for just three weeks! You have nothing to apologize for.
You are doing EVERYTHING RIGHT! I never would’ve believed she’d come this far in a few short weeks. Thank you all for your time love and patience with her ❤❤❤
Amazing job Niall. So much patience....
I love how much Stella has come on over the days xx
You have great patience,Niall but it’s worth it for beautiful Stella! ❤
She is so sweet
I would say that you're doing everything right Niall....love and patience, with some food or treats thrown in....bless her, she's already made tremendous progress and I have every confidence that she'll continue to do so....thank you so much, all of you, for saving this little girl, whose sweet side is starting to show. 🙏🐶😍👍❤🙋
Look at that! Wow!
she´s allowed to have bad days and you are allowed to get frustrated! at the end of the day she´s still the bravest girl there ever was. and you... your work speaks for itself! ;)
I found a good way to attract a scared dog's attention is to lie on my back and wiggle my legs in the air. It's about the most unthreatening gesture possible. A lot of the more curious dogs just fling themselves into my arms. I don't know Stella would do that yet. But Niall would look so cute... 😄🤣🙏🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Patience and persistence will finally melt the little poopyhead's heart ❣️ then yours melts
This actually makes more sense than the miraculous recovery she had appeared to have. I hope one day she can really trust everyone. I had a rescue dog who never really recovered from previous abuse 🥺
Hello Niall, i saw you yesterday on tv with Ben Fogle, fantastic what you are doing for mens best friends, how people arround the world can treat animals this way says everything about the world today! I adopted 2 spanish Galgo's and one also had a small colar arround his neck with a verry big open wound. The vets tried to sew it but it kept bleeding. I treated the wound every day with a rich coat of marigold balm/ calendula officinalis and after 1 month the wound closed up. Marigold balm is verry cheap, you can even make it yourself and it is a natural antibiotic and not toxic so the dogs can lick it! I use it even for myself, kids and grandkids for al wounds. Keep up the fantastic work you are doing and greetings from Belgium .
You did well Niall. Stella will get there in her own time. It’s amazing how well she is doing considering what she had to deal with in her young life. It’s great that she’s getting along with other dogs. She must have really bad memories of people. Time hopefully will heal her wounds physically and well as mentally. ❤️
I could NEVER be bored by your videos! God bless you Neil❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Precious Stella
❤🙏😘
🙏thank you so much for your patience
I say just keep doing that, she is seeing that yoy are gentle, keep showing her love, give her friends to be around. Show her doing things with the other dogs that you want to do with her. Give them hugs in front of her. She will learn through the other dogs.
Sending little Stella so much love❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad to see she is doing better. Keep loving her and letting her heal at her own pace; she will have good days and bad days, just like us humans.
Long video but worth it. Ty Niall and Stella❤❤
Stella is wary of “hands” like shes been hit and smacked or punched by someone. Its going to take a while but she will overcome im sure. ❤
Look at those chops.
God bless you man, not boring videos at all, she does amazing considering what she went trough,
The one thing I love most about this channel is that its not a "highlight reel". Your videos show the reality of life, not the edited version that isn't completely realistic or authentic. Thankyou for showing us the realness of what you do. It makes for great viewing and inspires me to want to do more. So grateful to you and all your staff for everything you do to make this world a better place xx
You are doing great with Stella, before you she had no one and no hope with that horrible string around her neck.I have a chronic illness and I am always grumpy with my husband when I am in pain so I can relate to Stella a bit. Lucky my husband is patient with me but I can get him down sometimes.❤
She'll get their in her own time, poor soul has been through so much , you might think it's slow progress but just looking back to her rescue, she's come on 100% ❤
I hate cowards who abuse animal. YOU ARE COWARDS. Nile thank you for being a wonderful human being
Please never worry about videos being boring ❤ anyone who is truly interested in animal rescue will enjoy watching them. I find it very relaxing just watching the progress of the beautiful dogs, no matter how long it takes for even the tiniest of steps.
I love Miss Stella. It's amazing how she lets you touch around her injury if you think how raw and painful that was for her. Her condition looks so much better too. She has a lovely sheen to her coat. Just imagine 6 months from now how things will be ❤❤❤❤
Love watching these videos and the transformation you create with the dogs. ❤❤❤
You didn’t get frustrated at all Niall! This was a great video to watch and see the reality of it all. Don’t be minding what dog behaviourists etc say to you, you do it your own way and you get the dogs to a great place where they can get new homes so that’s all that matters. People will have their opinion, but it doesn’t mean their opinion is right either. Keep doing what you’re doing because it is amazing to see what you do and how you do make the dogs come around in the end. You do you❤
The only time you'll not be criticised is when you say nothing and do nothing.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day for Stella & CO.
Making a connection takes time. You did superb today. Stella wants to connect. You can see that. She just has trauma. Love always wins 💓
God bless you for your patience and dedication to Stella! You;re right... she's the one who suffered the most and she has the right to be suspicious and scared... she needs her own time. But she's lucky to have met you
It looked like she thought you were going to take her away when you picked her up and was so sad. What a sweet girl
You've made really good progress with Stella. What you say about pushing her out of her comfort zone made me think of what physiotherapists do, e.g. after orthopedic surgery (my "expertise" after 4 knee surgeries). 🙂 As their patient, you're confronted with situations you don't think you can handle, but they show you how and you find that you can do it after all. Or at least part-way. Perhaps a silly example, but that's the connection I made.
Brava to Stella for hanging in there and bravo to you for not giving up. I only recently discovered your channel and it is already one I *always* watch.
Thank you. 🥹💕🙏 We love you, Stella! ♥️♥️♥️
Poor Stella. Thank you so much for helping her.
She's coming on great, thanks to you!!!
U just keep doing what you do IT ALWAYS WORKS THANK U ALL FOR ALL U DO❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The Trust Technique is great Niall! You're doing your best but this would help immensely with dogs like Stella. Keep going 💗👏
J ai beaucoup d admiration pour ce qu vous faites. Merci Monsieur.
She’ll get there, Niall. She has come so far because of you and your team. Thank you!!❤
Alone this view vids I've seen, makes me teared up, because of her progress and the trust, she's building up to humans.
But still I think, it will take way more time.
She's so adorable. 😢
A view weeks ago, I've lost my best buddy, a little Chi, and I know what it means to get love from an animal, doesn't matter how much, it's more than you'll get from the most human being.
Such a lovely dog...thank you for taking care of her and for the patience
Stella is progressing well intelligent dog.
We all can get frustrated at our dogs, but I feel for you as all you ate trying is to say everything is going to be OK, your amazing 👏
