New Zealands population is smaller than my state of Victoria. Its got to be hard for their Government to compete fiscally on a world stage. You need people to build things and make things to increase the GDP. If you dont have that you are not selling much and there is no money to share around. They need to increase their population to about 7 - 10 million over the next 20 years. Right now the sheep outnumber the people.

Unless we stop the whinging and grift that is going on in NZ and PC woke BS those that leave will not return and NZ will end up being a coconut republic living in a backwater of the South Pacific unable to feed itself or export products due to the stupidity of destructive green ideologies. The south islanders are going to jump up and down when I say this, but it was my experience.... some of them are very narrow in their thinking... I remember living in Australia for some 7+ years and while there our Ozzy friends would say... "come and meet these kiwi people we've met"... and when we did the first thing the south islands would say - "where are you from" when identifying we came from the north they would snarl at us "you're nothing but pig islanders.. we are the first people...we want to cut the cable and set you adrift".... this happened on more than one occasion. We hated to let on where in NZ we came from because of it... and we felt more one with our Ozzy mates than our south island countrymen. Our Ozzy friends would be concerned and say... "why are they so vicious"... Those were the days of the 1960-70's I hope their attitudes have changed.

It's in the values and rights of the AUS constitution...
    1. Everyone is bound by law
    2. Govt rules by democracy
    3. Freedom of speech
    4. Freedom of association
    5. Freedom of religion
    6. Equal rights
    7. Equal opportunity
Item 2 outlines further the spliting of power ... central govt (the Federal power) has a house of reps and senate. The state and territory govts, then local government authorities (ie councils). This 3 levels of govt creates a bureaucratic quagmire but it also creates more support opportunities. Eg the 2019 bushfires and 2022 floods ... action was swift and $100s of millions allocated within 2 weeks.

So was it National/ACT/NZF voters that left. Can't imagine it was labour voters cos they are still crying about Cindy leaving. So now kiwis that left will sit by while the Aussies rebuild their country and we whom remain in NZ will rebuild ours. I've kids and grandkids so I'll stay in NZ and help with rebuild before my time is up, that's just me, I won't sit on my arse and expect others to do it. I have the money to go, but I'm loyal to NZ, I'd feel like a traitor if I left.

The greens in pRliament are not green, they're red and want absolute control over your life. NZ will never have a problem being green, plenty of bush and sea, the plankton in the sea feeds of the CO2 that is given off and if their contribution to the ecosystem was included in this green cycle, as it should, NZ would be well and truly net positive.
Having said that, this entire carbon thing is a wrought, and anybody who cannot see that is not thinking for themself.
