Why would anyone wish to invest their lives (citizen kiwis or new skilled migrants) and those of their children in a nation that doesn’t treat all its citizens equally.

Most kiwis are ignorant as to Control Maori now have & in Law across all spheres of NZ.

People just want democracy. We want everyone treated equally. A great man once said, judge people on their character and merit, not their skin color. This current government wants people with different skin colors, to have different rules. The treaty says it all clearly in black and white, we are equal. Also if co-governance is so good, why not put it up for a referendum and let democracy and the court of opinion decide? Something tells me this regime wants to avoid that at all costs.
they won't put it for a referendum because they know most of the country is against it. Just like 3 Waters had hundreds of thousands of submissions yet this pathetic govt pushes it through anyway. All 120 in parliament right now are sell outs. Yes, NZ should be subsidizing farmers (just like every other country) to feed their own people first. NOBODY should be taxes on bare essentials (food/clothing) - it's a crock of S&yte that we need a tax on food. Hit the nail on the head David... the masses are leaving the country, including Maori, citing that the country is going in the wrong direction and policies like Te Tiriti divide us greatly and although the people have spoken out against it Labour and it's Maori activists still force it on us... Maori on overseas websites like this speak out that they feel ashamed that the Activists are pushing the country in this direction and say they have no faith in Labour which seems in fear of the activists. We were once an equal people with equal rights in a true democracy...this has been constantly eroded by Labour's interference... they have shown themselves to govern for the minority 5% + rainbows and not the majority of NZ. Time to take a long holiday Labour - feel free to leave the country anytime and let us get back on track economically and prosperous again!
@Valerie, love your comment, "they have shown themselves to govern for the minority 5% + rainbows and not the majority of NZ". Wait when NAct gets in, they will govern for the top 5% who already owns 80% of NZ wealth. Lol, too funny.
And why do you think the "masses" are leaving the country? it's not because of the increased use of a language that's ridiculous. it's because of the higher wages abroad, better standard of living, more opportunities, cheaper expenses, access to more amenities and activities, better transport and infrastructure etc etc. Now you want to talk about prosperity, how can you call NZ relying on Agriculture and Tourism prosperity, A country that exports 90% of it's produce for economic survival, selling said produce at a discounted cost overseas and then to make up for that expense, charges kiwi's the premium price, That is economic prosperity, not social, and I believe cost of living is one of the common reasons for people leaving NZ. Or NZ's past liberal workplace policies, that allowed employers to set the wages in NZ, which most of the time we're relatively low to turn more of a profit which makes many kiwi's work harder for less pay, that is economic prosperity not social. I have heard stories and seen it first hand the racism that is still present in the health system both now and in the past, Maori having lower quality of care, lower prioirty relative to their ethnic counterparts, and not only in health, education, workplace, everyday life and you think NZ once bore equal people, funny. I find it more hypocritical that you reminesce of when "we were once an equal people with equal rights in a true democracy" and then you go on to say "for the minority 5% + rainbows" very equal indeed lol. Many Kiwi's especially young people are in favour of Maori having a greater presence in society, but it's mostyl the one's who are afraid of change that are the loudest to argue, National and ACT appeal to them becasue they call for the status quo, even when the status quo hasn't worked, and becasue of that they have a loud following of people who come up with arguments like "People are leaving NZ becasue Maori is coming back" rididculous.
Intersectionality is communism in disguise. The smart and motivated can see it and are leaving. We are approaching critical mass stupidity, it’s too late to change, just practice saying comrade.
One of the primary reasons I left was because of violence, Maori (who i no longer feel safe around) division, LGBT and sexualization of children. New Zealand has become a woke semi dangerous semi authoritarian country that doesn't pay well. Other reasons are poor pay, failing infrastructure, especially in the health sector.
Clearly you don't understand what co governance is about. Maybe listen to Christopher Finlayson who explains what it is meant. Just so much gas lighting from so many people.
@@H4KTNNTthere’s dispute about what the treaty actually meant regarding “co governance”. He Puapua is segregation. We are a divided nation. Costs are doubled. We need unity. We need to remember the United Tribe's flag and what it means. Equality, a main principle of the treaty. One law and one vote in one nation.
Referendum yes, and binding. Another issue is, - successive governments have not supplied, or looked after our health workers, and as a result have been forced to look overseas to fill the gaps. We have been failed miserably. Governments, - then, and now, have not done their job. So yes,- as a result bring in Health professionals, - Surgeons, Doctors - Nurses etc, and look after them. 100% agree...in all points! The treaty in 1840 saw the end of genocide of lesser Maori tribes and Moriori who after 20 years of musket wars were in bad shape and the genocide of Moriori in 1835 meant the treaty in 1840 put an end to land grab by Maori of other Maori tribal lands in war, slavery by Maori, and cannibalism. Most Maori chiefs were very happy with the treaty as they saw they would be protected by the crown and the survival of their people and equal not only to the European but to all other Maori tribal people.

Ram raids would probably stop if you denied them their benefit payments, or reduce it partially by 1/3 until All damages like court costs, the total value of All items and All associated damages incurred before, during and after the incident have been recovered in Full ! The downside would be the dishonesty in false stock amounts and values being claimed by shop owners ! A stocktake by police or an independent govt authority to carry out an audit of items and losses at the time of the break in, would limit and rule out the amount of overinflated claims, And should result in a fine of some sought if found guilty.

Those leaving NZ not because of Maorification as you put it, but purely for better paid jobs, cheaper homes etc. Movement of people between NZ and Australia has been going on for numerous years, nothing new. When Aussie is doing well most Kiwis go there and vice versa. Most young people have been exposed to Maori language from their school years. 🤔 What’s the solution ? Identify the problem honestly. Most crime is committed by Maori. Co governance is headed by Maori A large proportion of tax payers money which should be going to health and education is going to Maori Most of the racist policies are from Maori Okay. No place has it all. As a kiwi that’s lived in australia the last 9 years I’m glad to be moving back to NZ. Yes the pay is much better in australia and many things are cheaper but money isn’t everything. Every time I come back to NZ to visit I’m blown away by how much cleaner and tidier NZ is.. To be honest it amazes me how dirty and feral most australian towns are compared to NZ despite the fact they’re the most highest paid people in the world overall. Car parks that would be asphalt in NZ are dirty gravel areas full of potholes in aust. People are more reserved in NZ but definitely more polite and friendly overall in my opinion. Australia has better beaches and warmer weather but NZ has a million lakes and mountains that you can’t go to in australia no matter how much money you have. To me all that is definitely quality of life. Life isn’t about a bunch of numbers it’s about how happy you are. I think people in NZ are happier overall. Car registration and insurance etc are way more expensive in australia as are other things despite petrol being a lot less. Second hand cars I’d say are generally cheaper and better quality in NZ by far. Definitely some beautiful places in australia too but most aren’t as clean and tidy although some are first class (Mooloolaba Qld for example). If money and great beaches is all you care about move to australia but don’t expect everything else to be better. These are just some things I’ve noticed after living here 15 years overall. The real problem is poverty due to a lack of job opportunities, underemployment and excessive taxation. Both of which have a trail back to the neo liberal experiment started back in the mid 1980's, which was all about seeing people work excessively hard, doing the job of two people, causalisation of labour and importing cheaper labour to take the place of more highly paid workers. Destroying the unions, was all part of this process. National and co, always bang on about crime and cherry pick incidents to support that case, without addressing the underlying cause because of course, that means acknowledging neo liberalism and globalism is an abject failure. Seymour suggests "More sources of finance for building infrastructure". When an internal deficit can be created for this purpose, why look for "more sources". I'll hazard a guess he would hand construction contracts to China.
Many Kiwi's especially young people are in favour of Maori having a greater presence in society, but it's mostyl the one's who are afraid of change that are the loudest to argue, National and ACT appeal to them becasue they call for the status quo, even when the status quo hasn't worked, and becasue of that they have a loud following of people who come up with arguments like "People are leaving NZ becasue Maori is coming back" rididculous.
yes i have meet a lot of maori leaving 4 jobs over aussie.

Indeed, and earlier rather than later. Invest in overseas gold to keep your equity/asset
@Lynda Sutherland good luck
And good riddance to rubbish 😅🤣
One of the primary reasons I left was because of violence, Maori (who i no longer feel safe around) division, LGBT and sexualization of children. New Zealand has become a woke semi dangerous semi authoritarian country that doesn't pay well. Other reasons are poor pay, failing infrastructure, especially in the health sector.
Co governance must be stopped at all costs and the Maori activists in parliament must be kicked out at this years election
why
Clearly you don't understand what co governance is about. Maybe listen to Christopher Finlayson who explains what it is meant. Just so much gas lighting from so many people.
racist = leave the country. we will not miss you
@@H4KTNNTthere’s dispute about what the treaty actually meant regarding “co governance”.

Question why do we need to compete on a world market.. if the country looked after its own citizens first, we would be flourishing with so much food and infrastructure. We would be rich... unfortunately too many politicians have signed away our rights to the wef and who.
NZ is in decline. Why would smart people move to a country where the cost of living is high, your paid less and you are deemed a second class citizen on arrival.
Listened to an interesting provable reason, in Britian, why immigration is favoured at any time by a political party and that is because an immigrant is more likely to vote for the party that allowed them into the country
Exactly! Same with lowering voting age
He Puapua is segregation. We are a divided nation. Costs are doubled. We need unity. We need to remember the United Tribe's flag and what it means. Equality, a main principle of the treaty. One law and one vote in one nation.
David’s right. We did not vote on this. Referendum is the only option.
But, do we need more 2 dollar shops, pop up food shops, or real estate people etc, who change their first names to sell NZ homes to NZers or sell NZ homes to people of their own cultures. Is that the reality of future NZ? That's a worry.
And its not just they don't like co-governance as an idea but they see the train wreck it'll lead to down the line.
Speaking as somebody who has ADHD and was a little shit these kids just need proper punishment that has follow thru to get them to see a better life

Bring back compulsory army training. Give people the discipline they lack. It's self discipline that makes good decisions. We also need people in power that aren't swayed by the weirdo agendas prevalent in New Zealand. Also ditch co governance it is wrong, the chiefs ceded sovereignt because they saw they had nothing after 500 year's of fighting each other. The same nothing these current clowns. are pushing.
Return the stolen land and then we can talk. My.grandparenrts went to war and returned to have their land sold to a white family. Still no compensation for it ever since.

The New Zealand government is one of the main reasons I left NZ, good interview you got my sub

I do agree with David around the lawlessness, as a direct result of Labour dropping the prison population. The justice policies they have enacted over the last 2 terms has seen most of NZ turn into the likes of Compton, Chicago or South Africa.

With the changes with the Australian immigration laws there will be a more people leaving to live in NZ especially as not everyone is happy with this current wave of Maorification has has occurred under this Labour government .It is frankly ridiculous for example to change the road signs and give precedence over English which is the language spoken by the majority and that includes Maori
Older people do not like change, thy prefer the status quo. Recently read a recent arrival from UK complaining to Luxon about too much Maori language here. What a joke! Wow finally a nice balanced interview from both sides
No attacking or anything
Just genuine concerns being discussed
🤔 What’s the solution ?
Identify the problem honestly.
Most crime is committed by Maori.
Co governance is headed by Maori
A large proportion of tax payers money which should be going to health and education is going to Maori
Most of the racist policies are from Maori
Okay. We’ve identified the problem.
Solution Maori assimilate to normal society.
Stop using Maori culture or colonialism as an excuse to do bad things and steal the tax payer’s money.
Maori who live overseas always thrive and excel because they aren’t driven down by their bros.
They are free to be a human being. A complete individual.
In NZ Maori are taught they’re victims and every non Maori owes them something.
That is brainwashing.
My advice Maori get out of NZ and you will better yourself. You will grow.
I have no Māori friends nor want to ,I feel oppressed.
Not a mention of the demographic committing all the crime.
You are not allowed to highlight the Elephant in the room in regard ram raiders, shootings, drug dealers, family violence, sexual abuse as this figure is not committed by the majority but a particular minority to which the media turn a blind eye.
If te parti maori get in government then im outta here. No body should be pushing racial separatism in government and theyre at the extreme end of it. Seriously though, whats their end game
the end game is "divide and conquer" - the gubermint use the Maori to "take back all the land" and then you have no home ownership. Agenda 30 accomplished by govt using Maori to do their dirty work.
The use of a dead language is helping no one, just bringing in confusion. All benefits must be cut of. Then the lazy ones must apply again, via Dr appointed by a better government. In no time the department of work and income will be able to reduce its staff by 75% . This will allow N.Z. To put money were it belongs. In no time a great tax reduction for the workers of N.Z. Can be carried out.
@Denys, if it was a dead language, what's the big fuss about bi-lingual road signs and names of government departments? Benefits cut? Better hope you never get into financial strife in the future. You never hear about beneficiaries who are honest, because they don't make good news, just the crooked ones ay. Lol
David's comments about foreign engineers are building the motorway north of Auckland are revealing. In NZ we prefer to employ foreign engineers rather than provide career opportunities for NZ engineers. It is now not feasible to be a NZ construction engineer in NZ.
The issue with kiwi engineers and other professionals is that they're unwilling to acknowledge the expertise of emigrants. They often have sub par practices but protect themselves by claiming only kiwis have the smarts, which is ridiculous.
Far to many gangs here. Glad we have got a government with a backbone and will actually start to sort it.

Unsustainable immigration without the housing or infrastructure is why we have such polluted beaches/rivers, poor social cohesion and high rates of homeless Maori today.
Labour and co are also on the neo liberal band wagon, indeed they started us down this path, so no relief there either. Suffice to say I'm done voting for and supporting mainstream parties in NZ. Seymour suggests "More sources of finance for building infrastructure". When an internal deficit can be created for this purpose, why look for "more sources". I'll hazard a guess he would hand construction contracts to China. They finance the project, inflate the cost at a latter date and take control of the infrastructure - the tactic they have used internationally.
