    Hello Alan,
Nice walk through on the soldering, thank you. It is always my concern, trying to fix a leaky boiler.
Also, every time I see your retort stand I think I need to get one...
    Take care.

Thanks Paul. I always try to say, when showing how I do something, that it's just the way I do things. It works for me but there are always many ways to do pretty much anything! Retort stands are marvellous, a 100 and 1 uses, not sure where you would get them from these days though. Cheers, Alan.

nice one Alan, another one for the display case, like the helping hands for soldering.
    cheers

Just an odd question, where do you get the metal tubes you use when making smoke stacks? Pretty much all my weeden engines are missing them.

Hi Timothy. I get all my tubing from ebay. Weeden engine smoke stacks were generally made by rolling thin tinplate to form a tube. You can simulate this pretty well by using stainless steel tube and heating it up to get the colour right. Cheers, Alan.

Well done was that silver solder you used on the boiler.Cheers Marc

Thanks Marc. No, I don't have the ability to silver solder. That's just ordinary plumbers solder.

lovely little engine. Would be nice to see you fabricate a burner for it. Perhaps an interesting video?

Thanks. That's something that I may well cover in the future.
