John Deere 445 Valve adjust, Compression test, Leak down test

I picked up this 445 last year near the end of the season and used it for the remainder of the year and then through the winter. From day one it had low compression, but still ran fine. Compression initially was 90psi, it should be no lower than 170psi!!! Took the time today to do a valve adjust to see if it would help. Only thing I should have done before was replace battery and try compression on a new battery as the old was weak.

Thanks for the video. I’m in the same boat. Mine tested 120. Blowing lots of oil in the air filter.

Glad it can help. Definitely check those valve gaps and do a leakdown.
