I remember when this channel didnt even had 100.000 subscribers and you were an IT guy with a full time job back then. How much you developed your garage and passion, it is just incredible. Really happy for you. Cheers!
Hei Sebastian :))
I found Sreten's channel when I bought my BMW e46. Almost same time he bought his e46. Been a devoted fan since then!
I'm really glad for him! He makes his dream come true! @M539Restorations
Will you also be touching his manhood? Sounds like you are in love
I remember when this channel hadn't even 1000 subscribers... I just found "the guy" in the video funny and knowledgeable. Haven't been wrong since, and getting better and better! Sreten will reach the heavy weights division very soon.
Way to go man!
Sreten is a freaking jeweler. The amount of care and dedication he put into this rebuild is overwhelming. Hope she starts up flawlessly on the first try!
He is a Serbian alright. Serbians are like new Germans.
I love how he cleans stuff that doesn't need to be cleaned.
I've followed Sreten from the beginning of his truly epic channel. I can honestly say it's like watching a young enthusiastic kid growing up to be someone you would take home to meet your aeronautical engineering parents. He is epic.
There is no one else like this guy, in my country he would be called guy golden hands
@@Bybiodainos What is your country?
The hardest part about watching your videos is getting to the end and realizing I'm gonna have to wait 2 weeks or more for the next one. I seriously enjoy watching your content more than any network TV show. Keep up the great work. Aloha from Maui.
I was miserable until I opened my email and there it was. A wonderful message from Patreon, more V12 goodness.. YESSSSSSSSS!!!!
Hehe, same here
Still can't belive you don't have 1 million subscribers man.. love your work and passion for cars 😁
He will get there... there is a million VMw lovers out there
The algorithm will not recommend long form videos to those without the attention span. He could do with looking into hiring an editor, for those that think 20mins is too long.
Please don’t shorten the videos, it’s one of the many plus sides to your channel.
Its the fact that his channel is not US based and has real quality content, no Clickbait shit from wild Thumbnails
Every where you watch a car video set m539 in the commentary 👍 it wil soon be a million
This is not just an another CZcams video, this is therapy after an hard workday! Bless you Streten!
Sreten*
I'm glad to se our guy Sreten back at it with the carbon fiber towels, really shows the dedication needed
You can tell he has carbon fiber on the brain.
It's funny that he would hate to have carbon fiber trim on his bimmer interior, but his microfiber towels are called 'carbon fiber towels' in every single video I watched. Still love his videos but someone has to make fun of it.
😂
Does anyone know where is Sreten originally from? He lives in Germany but speaks English with nice Balkan accent 😊
@@milantime9414 Serbia but he lived in california as an IT- Guy and moved to germany
"Check the clearance, Clarence!"
As if Sreten just snuck a reference to the movie Airplane into an engine rebuild video! Nicely done!
The carbon fiber towels never get old. It makes me laugh every time I hear it.
Is there a story behind this. I’ve been watching for over a year and it always gets me. 😂
@@TheOne48815he just say it to piss people of i Think 😂😂😂😂
Quick tip from personal experience with ultrasonic cleaner which I believe it will make a lot of difference: boil water with the kettle and pour it inside the main bath - (don’t expect those “home use” ultrasonic cleaners to heat up), place the parts in poly bags mixed with water and cleaning liquid ( you don’t waste too much cleaning liquid and you achieve better result).
Keep up the good work, greetings from Greece!
HAHA my 6 year old heard your “cooooming up” intro and flew down the stairs to ask if it was project Malaga… absolutely blew me away, never noticed him paying attention whilst I watched your videos before, he’s sat next to me watching as I type this! 👌🏻🫡
your level of detail and work ethic is truly something else. first changing out the o-ring around the e39 oil dipstick, now putting special lube under the bolts to make the torque more percise... a car rebuilt by you truly deserves a special badge, right on the trunk, and in 50 years time bmw's rebuilt buy you will be the most special and sought after models of each generation.
Indeed
Found your channel few months ago, I'm consuming all your content! you set up the bar really high for everyone doing this type of content. Funny, easy to follow and very educational!
I can’t even begin to say how much pleasure I get from these videos. It has changed the way I work, truly inspirational.
Top-mar in my country Poland, weld and restore head from Ferrari 599 GTB and this car with this head still works. The interesting fact is that people on the internet said that head of Ferrari i something like NASA technology and Top-mar said that head from 1.8t VW is more difficult to restore than ferrari's. Good choice
Great to hear. Thanks!
You are an artist man. I really feel sad when the video ends and it's pretty much the same for other subscribers. You are blessed with talent mate. In machinery, in story telling, in video editing. You put the effort and there you go. Excellent content!
You are a goddamn legend, Sreten. I haven't seen anyone care for a BMW as much as you do. You have put your heart and soul into every project, and we’re the better for it. Thanks for continually bringing us the best content on CZcams. You look the part air that lovely BMW lab coat, my friend. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Project Marseille is looking to surpass the perfection of Project Chicago, and I want to see all that goodness! Stay safe, and we’ll see you in the next chapter of this lovely story.
I love this CZcams-channel so much. I don’t own a BMW or do much work on my own car. But there is something so satisfying with watching you work. I love it!
I am dependent on your videos, Sreten. I watched literally all of your videos from CZcams several times. 😂✌ I admire your work very much. You are an inspiration for all of us who want to really make a difference in this world, really. I mean, you teached many how to take care of the cars, how to work themselves on the cars, how to properly repair them, how to save some money and do the hard work, aaaand at the end, the very satisfying result of a beautiful fully functional car, which is a joy for everyone.
P.S. I am waiting for the E32 episode. I really miss that car on the channel.
Yeah i agree when he do not post any video i like to re-watch some of the older episodes from his channel,
he has some of the best BMW cars restored as close to OEM, very interesting to see all future projects.. he he
I am still wondering how you have only 397K subs. All the auto enthusiasts, alongside with bmw maniacs are maybe not even interested in this videos. This channel should be the bible for the DIY engineers. I am a benz guys but always watch your videos, either with coffee in the morning, or beer in the evening :). Keep up the good work, and greetingс from Bulgaria брате.
This channel is where you see quality over quantity. It is the best channel out there, no doubt about it. The long episodes and the attention to detail. It is perfect! Bravo
Love how frequent your videos are coming out these days! Best channel ever!
Great to hear that TOP-MAR will do your heads, great choice!
Top-Mar is definitely a great workshop, they are very well known and recommended all over the poland, I am sure you will not be disappointed with results.
What part of poland is that shop ? Krakow area or higher or lower lol ?
@@teamdrivealot8441 In the vicinity of Poznan
@@teamdrivealot8441 It's in, or near Poznań I believe.
1. I knew you must have had a huge heater because you were getting some serious mirage in some of those scenes.
2. Now that I know how time consuming it is to clean every single nut and bolt, I'm going to stop asking myself why the videos take so long.
3. After I thought about it I decided that part of what I like about your channel is that you don't over saturate with content. Each video is slick and well crafted and the time between videos keeps me hanging for more. It also feels more episodic which is so important. Keep it up Sreten, can't wait to see you show off the ported heads!
Your dedication to precision and detail matches the requirements of those BMWs. I only wish the mechanics out there matched those requirements too.
Imagine how expensive they would be if they worked to the same quality level that Streten does!
@@alexbrown1995 Yes. That says something about BMW.
Hey guys, mark my words: Streten gonna be the biggest mechanical CZcams on Earth! I mean, for me, he already is, but the entire world gonna recognise this.
To make your ultrasonic cleaner fluid last longer and to keep smaller parts together you can put parts in to zip lock bags with some cleaning fluid. The ultrasonic vibration will pass through the bag with no issues.
Sreten you are like the Old TopGear show that we all loved and waited for their new episode,, keep doing like you do and also maintain your success… a loyal fan from Egypt, Cairo …we are the F30 340i kings of Egyptian streets and we do sheer driving pleasure…
I was in Kairo last week. Great city.
This channel is among the best CZcams content out there, regardless of whether or not you like working on cars. Great job and hope you keep this going for a long time.
These Patreon notifications keep me going
Love that title for Herr Sreten, Beer Meister… right under the classic BMW Roundel. Attention to detail, precision m.
Add a timer on the wall plug for the ultrasonic, if you leave the heating element on, it will heat untill it runs out of water and then cook itself to death.
Your camera setup and lighting is really nice. Looks better than reality
Autohaus Melkus is actually a super prestigious racing family from eastern Germany. Very cool they are collaborating with you.
I learn something (well, manything:)) each release of epic series, but today I was shocked: Charcoal Canister - never knew about this part of a car/fuel system. Thanks a lot for your Projects!
New to the channel but loving your blend of technology, humor and knowledge. Thanks for allowing us to look over your shoulder, cant imagine how much extra work it is for you to make the videos but sure glad your are!
Really missing Hugh Jackman and Jackman Jr. Hope they're both well! Loving the content as always, keep it up Sreten!
The press-conference comment gets me everytime 🤣
Top- mar is the most famous polish brand when it comes to engine heads and they have already done heads for many polish projects.
I dream of owning a small garage where I can rebuild my projects like you do. Keep up the good and clean work!
I've finally done it and you inspired me! I've bought a BMW as my first car, a e92 318i!
Kona Big Wave is one of my favorite beers, you have excellent taste and engine building skills.
I not only admire your skills but your humour is hilarious. I also like that you’re not taking yourself too seriously 🎉
Can’t wait for this project to be finished! Going to be such a beast!!
50 minutes of pure happiness, thanks for the content man!
This 850i will probably be a fast car. At least, all videos from project Marseille make time go by really fast. 50min went like no time. Very informative and inspiring!
Topmar is a great choice. Good job Sreten!
I'm having one of my toughest days, and getting the notification that you have posted a new video just made me smile and lightened up my day. keep up the good work.
The presentation of pistons at 9:12 and Sreten says not to be obsessed. Your obsession is what drives this channel, keep up the great content.
Precision and detail. Reasoning and explanations. Examples and demonstrations. Measurements and obsessions. presentation with pride and perfection. The best way to understand something, is to assemble one. I would say your understanding of everything you have restored in unequalled by anyone I have ever seen. If the engineering staff at BMW is not aware of you, your knowledge and abilities, they should be.
44:28 great infos on Reinzoplast, these little application notes are helpful
it makes me so excited when I get my notification for a new m539 video. thank you streten for everything you give to us viewers
You take a lot more care stuffing pistons than we did on the assy line 😅
Streten, now I realised how much work you put in into fixing your BMW’s….. it’s passion and love of your work…..I admire your passion and keep up the good work…….You’re the Man!!!!!
Youre killing it sreten! gave me the confidence to start rebuilding my n54! gonna start in a few weeks excited!!
first time I've heard you call it a microfiber not a carbon fiber
You are the Norm Abram of BMW restoration.
Boy I wish I can get an E31 and do a refurbishing job like this on it !
Simply the BEST. Thanks for the amazing content with all of my favorite cars. You sir are second to none.
So great to see how much fun you have about the restauration. You are really really great.
Man, this channel inspires me more and more to buy myself a 3 door Zastava 101 and restore it mostly by myself.
ALMOST got my hopes up when you mentioned diesel
Good Sir, your dedication to the minor details is truly impressive! Well done and thanks a lot for the content! It's always a pleasure watching your stuff!
Great as alway streten! i just saw the 777 garage ( youtube channel)taking out the whole engine of a m50d for total ( 3 turbos) rebuild .what a job man ..lots and lots of stuff.
think you should go for some diesel engines too.
man, thank you for directing me towards that channel! looks like a pot of gold in terms of content
Damn thats the only m50d rebuild i can find
I'm sure you will be happy wit TOP-MAR's job, they're really known here with a proofed history of many project cars driving here.
23:03 Instruction Manuel sounds familiar, is he famous?
I’ve been eagerly checking Patreon all day for this 🎉🎉 Keep up the good work Mr S
While there is no doubt that you are meticulous there is always a risk taking things apart. With the M73 being a rock solid engine you could have left the block assembled? The content is fabulous! Have you considered breaking down some of your videos into smaller DIY videos? I'm working on my 01 750il and I have to review your videos to try and find the part I want. Not sure if it would help or hurt your cannel.
The fact that you can run that diesel heater indoors without venting it outside is an engineering marvel.
He have the right heater in the right space, then there is enough oxygen to burn efficently :)
A diesel heater ? What next sunlamp and deckchair drinking a Shirley Temple!! haha!! Good vid Streten , l guess winter in Germany can freeze your nads off.
5:20 Clean "micro" fibre? 😳
Caught! I can't say or tell the difference anymore🤣
@@M539Restorations for a subset of the youtube population, myself included, you’ll be solely responsible for this malapropism. Good fun, tho 😂🤗

You are a very good teacher, nice to lissen and watch you! Glad that I found your channel
The sealant you used Sreten used to be used on the GM/OPEL OHC cam carrier back in the 80's and 90'. Good stuff it used to be green.
Many so called.professionals should learn from you. Great material in this channel.
binge watching this series before the inevitable engine rebuild, can't wait!
from one IT guy/gear head to another thank you so much for what you do. Every upload is a treat. Going to pick up one of those new stylish hoodies.
The vapour blaster is witch-craft! Amzing what that does!
Wise investment, those blueberry muffins. Engine looks great, what a great tribute for a BMW from my country. You should see how many old and very clean BMWs people have around here, no sand or salt or snow, just a bit of humidity and wind.
Of all the vloggers that I'm watching doing restoration works, You're the best for me. No short cuts; tightening of bolts are to the correct torque and of the latest tools, procuring the necessary tools/gadgets, etc, necessary to accomplish excellent work. Thus, Owners who had bought his restored vehicles are so lucky......I like best the SUV X5, if I should have means.....
When a new episode arrives, I'm off-line for everybody. First things first, watch M539 Restorations. Thanks again.
Preventive thumbs up even before the video begins
It's time boys!!!
Our best youtube Mechanic is BACK!!
This is the reason I keep distance from my ex and unfortunately have no contact with my son. People in this state are dangerous to be around. So tragic to learn about this. This hits me hard because of the situation I am in. All the of the "system" here has failed my son bacause of his mother`s manipulating stories. Thank you for the books you have signed to me. All my support for your work and I hope and pray that you will not encounter another case from your followers like this. God bless. Best wishes for the childrens justice centre. From Norway, Thank you.👍
I just stopped at 6:08 minutes. Love your work, your accent, your childlike attitude, Gid Bless in all you do. We just bought a 95 750iL with 118K. Are so extremely glad to get it running. And would love to hear from ANY COMENTERS ON HERE AS TO TIPS AND TRICKS.
Am from California, came to Indiana in 1998. This 750 is a low to zero rust car from Indiana, no winter driving.
Thanks.
Looking forward to an E92 M3 update. Hope all is well with that project. Thank you for the videos, I really enjoy them.
My fresh cerveza and another episode, I'm ready let's go 😀
My wife actually DID just walk in when you were lubing that engine up!!
I have a cold and feel like shit, but I have found a new M539 video. So, all is well.
I absolutely love your level of approach to engine assembly, like watching open brain surgery.
And after so many videos, I will no longer be able to assemble engines NOT neatly
I must admit though, the last time I blew a torx on the connecting rod cap, I didn't replace it with a new one...
Acetone + transmission fluid mixed 50/50 does wonders to clean the carbon
Did I hear "Top-mar"? Really good choice
Diesel works extremely well in the ultrasonic cleaner. It's what I used to clean up my pistons, it eats carbon. Funnily enough, so does WD-40 silicone spray.
I'll try that too, thank you.
@@M539Restorations Thanks for teaching me (us) so much about BMWs! I remember watching your videos to psych myself up for the valve cover on my N55, lol.
That's the correct dispotion for Diesel!
I don't understand how you don't have 2 million subscribers, Excellent episode
Sreten, I love your attention to detail and cleanliness of parts. It's therapeutic. Your videos are too interesting to be "too long".
✌️❤️
Even though I have no interest in restoring BMW's or rebuilding Engines, it is such a pleasure to watch your passion, humour and attention to detail - absolute therapy! Thanks Streten!
looking forward to watching this engine run for the first time. amazing skilled work, keep the videos coming.
Looking forward to a further episode of this!
