Well you should watch Kevin Smith explain what happened when it was being preproduced. The level of idiocy, insincerity, and ignorance in Hollywood is what killed this movie.

I like the actor's 'Nicklaus cage'
I could imagine this as an animated show
I've listened to this about three or four times and I really enjoyed this, Kevin Smith is a really great storyteller, Kevin script is so much better than a second script that I listened to, this had a more action-packed and satisfying story, and the guy who portrays Nicolas Cage in this sounds very close to him, while listening to this I had to remember the concept art as well as the designs for The eradicator brainiac, as well as Nicolas Cage is Superman suit designs and then the rest I have to play out in my mind to really get the full picture of what this movie would have looked like, and I think this movie would have been a huge hit, if only the Warner brother people was willing to take a risk if they were willing to do that the most likely this movie would have been made, but to my understanding if Superman lives was made then we wouldn't have never gotten Superman returns in 2006, Superman was always my number one favorite DC superhero, I've always looked up to him I've always liked everything about him everything that he's about and what he represents, I don't care what people say I think this movie would have been great.

But instead he actually voiced him in a teen Titans Go episode, who knows, maybe they might do an animated version of Superman lives where cage my voice his version of Superman, I guess we can only hope.

And I know Nicolas Cage as Superman (or at time, Owen Wilson 😉), but do you know what OTHER actors they had in mind? I think Sandra Bulloch as Lois, but not sure beyond THAT.
Hi! Thanks for the kind words! Yes, Sandra Bullock was definitely on the shortlist for Lois Lane. When Tim Burton came on board, Christopher Walken was his choice for Brainiac and Chris Rock was his choice for Jimmy Olsen. And Kevin Spacey was their top choice for Lex.
