This audiobook is adapted from the unproduced screenplay from 2002. Codenamed "Asylum", the script was written by Andrew Kevin Walker and Akiva Goldsman. This film would have been an attempt to revitalize the Batman & Superman franchises by pitting the two heroes against each other for the first time on the big screen. Wolfgang Petersen was set to direct with a Summer 2004 release. Warner Bros., however, would later cancel the project in favor of Batman Beyond - another project that would ultimately be abandoned.

Amazing work! My only thing I would change is not making is that Joker was the one behind Batman's marriage. Was a twist that actually took a pot of emotional weight out of the story and watered down the relatability of loss. Plus it takes a great story and makes it kind of silly. Would be perfect if that wasn't there but also know you guys didn't write it, just performed and that was perfect and even with the lame twist I still loved it!
This is one of the cancelled comic book movies I would love to see the most, thanks so much for doing this!!!! This script definitely had some interesting ideas, I wouldn’t be surprised if it secretly was meant to serve as a loose sequel to the Michael Keaton Batman movies and Christopher Reeve Superman movies

@@NEUVERSECREATIVE Both good choices, I forgot DarKnight was published! Both interesting ideas. Hmmm, there are a couple of pre-1989 Batman drafts out there, another CZcamsr has just made videos about more that date to 1982/86 which predate the 1989 film, thy could be fun.

This concept could have been amazing if they 1. They brought back Michael Keaton. No one could say he was too old in 2004. 2. Not killing Robin, Commissioner Gordon and Alfred
3. Making Bruce Wayne marry Vicki Vale from the first movie, Freddie Mercury when he forgets his name.
4. Making Lex Luther influenced by a competition with Bruce Wayne that makes the extreme step of cloning Jack Nicholas's Joker to torment Bruce Wayne by having him kill his wife makes sense. Cause Lex Luther could hire any alive hitmen to just randomly do that. It would have to be some kind of stakes that makes him take those extreme steps to clone the Joker

Thanks for the kind words! And the process is pretty long but it all starts with adapting the script into an audio drama, casting voice actors, picking the music, editing the project (I typically break it up into chapters) this involves editing the voices and adding music and sound effects (which takes the longest), then designing the graphics and editing the video.
