This Mark guy seems like he could be big one day.
He might be able to amass 30 million someday, maybe...
maybe corridor will give him the traction he needs to go big one day
Nah, he seems like a narc, he's not going anywhere fast
XD
This Mark guy... I think he'd do great playing horror games with bunnies and windows.
Deep fake tech has really come a long way. Can’t even tell that isn’t actually Markiplier!
Eef.
Whoever is doing the voice is spot on. I don't think I've ever heard such a good Markiplier impression.
@@charlesfuzak Eef.
@@charlesfuzak It's an AI voice, latest technology, impressive stuff
Wait what...
Corridor coup would be a great idea for a series on the main channel where Markiplier tries to take down corridor and it escalates into a war or something
That would legitimately be so funny and entertaining. Markiplier is such a good actor as well as the resources that the crew has would make this a very cool meta series that I would be ready to watch!
Reminds me of the Peter-clones thing they had going on for a while.
(Typed this before Niko said anything lol)
Civil war, decided by a duel at some point.
Then it ends in an Infinity war type thing
in order to take over corridor he has to beat wren in a render contest
Gotta love Mark casually saying he's met "a few" make a wish kids when I know for a fact that number is likely well over 50 at this point (it was 30+ back in 2017)
AND that he has received MULTIPLE televised big fat awards from MAW for his significant impact, interactions and ongoing contributions to both the kids and the foundation over the years.
@@heatherfeather7199 oh has he had multiple? I only knew of the one!
@@samfinkjensen
I know of at least 2, maybe 3.
50 is a few compared to the millions of kids out there 🤷♂️
@@louisrobitaille5810 and those 50 got to have an amazing experience while they could
Mark in 90% of his videos: "I could've been an engineer"
Also Mark: "I hated every second of it."
Im a physics major and I can understand his pain cause a lot of my classmates are engineers lol
I keep forgetting how articulate Mark is, like, I know he's charismatic, obviously. Because we don't too often get to see him talk like this, or at least I haven't. But man, he can talk
When he waxes philosophical his charisma goes through the roof. He can go all inspirational speaker on you.
Yeah...In an alternate universe he could’ve been a cult leader
@@Kaunoe unnas annus existed and that was a cult without a doubt
two words: distractible podcast (go listen on all the major streaming platforms including youtube)
He sure can talk :)
I love how mark has over 30 million subscribers and has made countless series and videos and yet aspires to be with the crew and looks up to their expertise.
listen man corridor digital is the OG, other og yts respect them
he looks up to their vfx expertise (as you said) not their youtube skills
its such a weird concept to me that some people associate sub-count directly with expertice and skill in everything.
@@clarkecorvo2692 yeah why do people do that?
@@ahmed4363 Because people are stupid
Jake trying to follow Mark's like ending speech was wild. Niko and Ren were clearly like, fully enthralled in it and Jake just tries to be like "ok guys we have a podcast here to do"
Not gonna lie, I got misty-eyed there at the end, lol.
I almost wish Jake could go "full caricature" on ads. Until I'd seen enough content, I didn't realize it was a shtick. I just thought he was naturally robotic, lol.
Note to advertisers: There is nothing that will make me skip an ad faster than a 90 second cold read about all of the products Manscaped has to offer. Let your content creators be content creators.
If you want to see some ✨wild✨ ads, watch TomSka's video on how he's tried for MONTHS to get Surf Shark to call him out on his wild ads.
Internet Historian is a perfect example, never skip the ads cause they are part of the content.
I always appreciate Jake being a team player and doing the ads with enthusiasm. I also really like when Jordan does the ads - she's so entertaining, I usually watch the whole thing.
Props to you guys for respecting your audience, their time, and their choices, when you put the countdown clock in the corner so it is very easy for people skipping the ads if they want to. It actually makes it more likely that I’ll watch the ads.
Psychology is weird right. Honest people will get honest views
I'd love a camouflage render challenge. Where you need to try to make a scene with a visual effect that people need to guess what it is.
I absolutely adore this idea
Imagine if one of them just inserts one tiny dust particle into the shot.
One main rule: the cg has to be hidden in plain sight.
The way to make it a proper competition is that whoever hides the largest visual effect that people can't find wins.
yesss thats such a good idea wren could be like ARCOSTICS
VFX Artists React is thriving not because of the algorithm, but because the content is always a banger and has a lot to offer through not only entertainment perspective, but from educational as well. I'm a programmer, can't do anything with VFX, but because how entertaining and interesting it is, I will always come back for more :)
Same here, also a programmer who can't do shit with VFX, but their breakdown of how it's made is so incredible I guess we can almost relate without having no real ideia.
Plus it is content that will always be timeless and you can go back and watch older episodes and it not feel old.
Blender has Python libraries & so do a few other VFX capable platforms. The Adobe suite has a .NET integration package & I vaguely recall another big platform using Go for side scripting. If you're interested you can use the skill you've already cultivated to get your start in VFX as a hobby.
I was pretty stoked after I found SCAD for 3D modelling, a CAD program that is fully script based. If it runs on a computer, you can always build a script integration, everything is running in a shell at the lower levels, it's just about learning how to scrounge up the original technical documentation or patents to find out how to "talk" to the specific application you want to script for.
Damn I need to go outside more......
@@Dimafear all good man! Ye, ik about blender/houdini being scriptable and other VFX programs, i just don't have time or energy rn, cuz im working a lot in gamedev already (just part-time work, nothing too serious atm) 😂
@@vitluk Fair enough, I know what you mean, hard to engage with new hobbies when you've got a lot on your plate. I work in A.I & I feel like every "small change" I get asked to make ends up cascading back into integration hell. Best of luck with your game, reply with the name of it & I'll be sure to give it a look.
The “Corridor Coup” needs to happen… in a game of Trouble in Terrorist Town. Or something nerf related, point being, I will bust a gut if that happens.
If not at least a video on it
I’m doing a thesis on internet performance and I can’t wait to cite markiplier from this cast.
That sounds interesting, good luck and hope it goes well!
Jake might be the ad guy now but that man has a law degree and will legal the hell out of you
God, I love Mark. The humility of all of them, treating him as just a new recruit. A new recruit that happens to have over 32 Mil. subscribers.
Mark actually watches all the corridor stuff. Thats amazing. Mark is easily one of my favorite people in the universe even though I rarely watch his content.
I love how mark has over 30 million subscribers and has made countless series and videos and yet aspires to be with the crew and looks up to their expertise.
Wren does NOT know how to not be a smiling beacon of joy... huh reminds me of Brandon in that sense now that I think about it
That dude smiles like he knows something...
Miss brandon
why
It's so easy to get fixated on numbers but Mark is so true when he says even if it does not go viral doesn't mean it has not impacted someone
1. I love how genuine everyone is. 2. Iron VFX Artist was fantastic, to hell with the numbers. 3. As someone at FXhome, thanks for the shoutout!
agreed, I really enjoyed Iron VFX
Iron VFX should have the guests for the good vs bad cgi
This to me is like the multiverse of crossovers. I watch both channels so consistently that it's a surprise but also a delight to see this occur.
Concerning ads: Corridor and Critical Role are the only channels that come to mind instantly, that make me enjoy watching ads or sponsored segments. Kind of comes down to the mentality of treating those segments like storys/worlds in their own right. That is why Jakes character works for me. It is also why sooo many Critical Role fans look forward to reocurring sponsors.
Daniel Thrasher does some good ads too, most recently was him cooking and competing HelloFresh to a delivery service and it kept me interested the whole way through.
Internet historian.
Tom Ska as well. His entire video about trying to get fired by surf shark is really entertaining and great
internet comment ettiquette has really good ads too
internet historian has some dope and funny ads that sometime push the lines of being offensive but i think companies allow it because they're actually like high effort, you should check his ad section of his videos out :)
Damn man was not ready for such a massive wholesome podcast and I'm glad I watched this
Both the crew and mark are both so wholesome.
Same tbh I love it
give that intern a raise, such a wholesome podcast. Can't wait for VFX Interns react
Mark just came here and dropped a bomb on the entire cast. That was way more emotional then I expected and I loved every second of it.
he does this everytime!
0:35 Markiplier: *"This is a promotion, right?"*
Everyone else: *"YES!"*
On Mark’s point on ad reads - I can confirm I never skip their ads. I listen to their ads wholeheartedly
On Distractible, right?
Plus they don't do ads from these P2W gaccha games that prey on kids.
Every time Mark speaks in a low tone with a serious message I cry, absolutely without fail.
Ahgh! Thank you for bringing up the viacom thing. People really really really hate the content ID business and all that but really don't get the alternative is: there is no youtube or anything like youtube.
You can thank big old content and US law for content ID.
Love your work SeamlessR!
Didn't expect Seamless here! Thanks for your awesome FL Studio guides! The world is small
Yeah that's what I realised when I saw Tom Scott's video on the topic. ("CZcams's Copyright system isn't broken, the world's is.")
Woah Seamless is a Corridor fan huh? Glad to see you also have good taste in youtube channels lol.
Nice to see the bass wizard here in the comment section
I love listening to your cast
And to prove markipliers point: all you guys have a huge influence to us.
Wren is the reason I found my passion in mechanical engineering which is what I'm studying now and I love it!
(And he's also the reason I bought my Onewheel 😅)
Great episode! I enjoy listening to Markiplier, because not only he's a funny and goofy creator, he has also a lot of deep thoughts, experience and is open to share them in a kind and inspiring way! I'm looking forward to this time of your... jolly cooperation.
Mark is extremely well spoken! Love him loving on the corridor crew!
I would also love to see like a fake macho contest thing between Mark, Clint, Brett and the rest of the guys. I think that'd be really funny. I'm really looking forward to the Mark intern Era of Corridor. Markiplier and Corridor Digital are two of the channels I've been subscribed to the longest, so seeing a big collab between you guys is so cool. I love seeing how passionate he gets when trying to encourage others about the value they have towards others and just encouraging people in general.
Like the moustache war back in the day with Ben and Brett would be hilarious
@@SirDono_ Like them competing with Wilford Wharfstache? (I have forgotten how to spell that name, lol.)
I had no idea that Premium actually benefits creators, Google _definitely_ doesn't do a good enough job telling people about the benefits outside of "We'll give background play on mobile *back* to you!"
ok that 'corridor coup'... really sounds like a legit side story or corridor saga hahha
'New' Corridor and the website is great! One thing I miss from the 'old' corridor is people like Jared Jan and Steve and loads of people I'm forgetting. Even the street meat guy, as awkward as his first vlog is lol
The corridor and mark stuff is something i never thought i needed but absolutely love.
I loved this one so much. The talk felt so real and genuine. Mark and Corridor have both made a big impact in my life and I still find it crazy that two of my favorite channels found each other.
The ad experience on TV is something I got very recently, as I returned to watching F1 after maybe a decade. My god, its horrendous! It is heartwrenching to have the commentator and car sounds interrupted by ad every 5-10 minutes! A race lasts around 2 hours, so in a single race I watch maybe 20 ads, half of them being REALLY intrusive!
Ad reads in CZcams are a life-saving! Corridor Crew and Whiskey Tribe are some of the most creative I know, and even the more straight-forward ones are pretty bearable!
1:01:45 you have NO IDEA of how important the entertainment industry is to people's health! People may talk about science and medicine (which I actually support, as a pharmacist myself) but making someone smile snd laugh is just as important as any medicine and health care profession.
Honestly wasn't planning on watching this whole thing.. I clicked and skipped here and there until the last 15 mins, I watch that 15 mins fully then went back to the start and rewatched the entire episode from start to finish.. Thanks guys and love you all
Can we please get a “Corridor Coup” channel!
Hey , couldn't understand how this one hour just passed ... Surreal podcast this was .. ❤️
I have been a viewer since the Sam and Niko days and I just want to assure you no algorithm will ever peel my eyes away from your videos! i have created a habit of searching your channels for updates xD Y'all are awesome and your videos truly mean a lot to so many of us!
Corridor and Mark are two of my favorite things on CZcams and it’s absolutely amazing to see them come together. I remember a really long time ago having a similar feeling at the realization that Jimmy from The Command Zone was a part of the corridor family, it was mind blowing!
Listening to yall talk about make a wish made me tear up. You have no idea the impact you make on this community. Thank you.
This podcast made me realize something. I'm a huge fan of Mark's and I've always thought that if I was ever lucky enough to meet him one day, that I would just tell him how much he means to me personally and the big impact he's had on my life. But honestly? His self awareness is through the roof and I now know that he already knows. He knows what he does for people. So basically it would be a wasted meeting. Now I would just tell him a joke or try to make him laugh in some way. 😆 Also I am stoked for the future content coming our way from this. Beyond excited.
Honestly I've come to much the same realisation. My goal now is to succeed at my own chosen passion (writing) enough that one day our paths cross and I can lend him back that inspiration, to show him how he helped me get there and to aid him however I can. 😁 Wishing you all the best as a fellow fan!
Really good point, I have not had this perspective.
@@kalysian THAT is a beautiful mindset that he would absolutely love to hear I'm sure of it. ❤
Corridor Crew mixing it up with Markiplier! This is either a recipe for the philosopher's stone, where the power level will be over 9000!!!
Looking forward to the Jack Septic Eye intern HA! But for now look forward to Mark's content with CC.
What a freaking emotional rollercoaster of a episode. thank you guys, still loving to watch your stuff after so many years
This is the collab that I have been looking forward to for so long! Childhood complete
Same!!
i appreciate markiplier is bigger than all the corridor channels put together, yet he comes here to learn
I love getting time to listen to CC, it's rare but I cherish it. This has honestly been my favorite of them all. I love Mark and his content as well as Corridor, I'm SUPER excited for how you guys interact and work together for the future! :) Your perspectives are so different since he comes from a different CZcams background but he, with the help of Corridor's channels, broke into something "completely different" (via building videos with small bits of lore leading to full productions). Absolutely excited to see the collaboration while Mark is here!
I actually LOVED VFX IRON CHEF! I hope they keep that goin. It was so much fun to watch.
Man! I love the cast!
I would love to be invited and just talk about staff. Love you guys!!
I'm with Wren at 34:57. CZcams is my main platform for consuming any and all content. I have other streaming platforms I'll watch for certain interests, but CZcams, being so vast and inclusive, is what I tune in to daily.
What a cool video. I really loved the perspectives from the corridor crew and Mark together. Everyone is so knowledgeable and it was such a positive experience. This was my first podcast video I've watched from the team and I look forward to seeing more in the future.
Comments are written by the minority of viewers. I dont understand how most content creators fail to see this, and instead see comments as their audiences opinion. While that is true, it is still the minority of the audiences opinion. The majority watch your content, and then subscribe to see more of what you make, and want to see it grow and change and ultimately become better. Don’t ignore the comments, but don’t over analyze them either. Remember they are the minority.
I have a feeling there will be more inspiring designers attempt to pull off the “audit” of corridor. And by more I mean probably in the thousands.
Seems like this Markiplier fellow sounds like a chill guy. I hope he gets famous one day.
Alternative title: mark becomes corridor crews therapist and consults them on life and their impacts
Definitely know what you mean about struggling to establish yourself on the platform. I've been a tiny youtuber for 2 years now. I'm not as fussed about that as I used to be, but it's still a little disheartening to see hard work feel squandered in a way. But it's motivated me to try new avenues and keep evolving, so it's both a bad and an alright thing. Not great but alright.
Mark grew up here in Milford, OH! Glad to see him move up in the world!
Ok, I need to piggy back on Mark's concept about you guys. I've been working for the last 8 years in a medium/small commercials production and vfx house here in uruguay. I think I've been watching you guys for about the same time. The thing is that I don't make a lot of money where I work, I can't even move and live alone. I had many chances to work in other vfx houses, but the thing is that my current workplace is like a second family, we have a chemistry that I've seen all this time in your place through the youtube window. Watching you made me value the good relationships and quality products (one can say we're kindda good in what we do ha) more than how much money I've made at the end of the month. My best friend, who's more like a brother, or maybe and extension of myself, could tell you, the only way I could leave my current job is if ILM, WETA or Corridor would hire me (and ILM and WETA are only on the list because what they mean for us, the movie freaks). The thing is, yes, the numbers are there to show how many people you'te reaching and to give you X amount of money, but I'm pretty sure in some way you're influencing the desitions of the people on your audience more than you think. Even more that your audience themself think, I didn't even knew you were "responsible" of my desition of not moving to another vfx house until I explained my mom what your channel was about and I said "they do what we do, but for youtube, and the office ambient is pretty much like ours". That, I felt I should tell you all of this because I think there are plenty of histories like mine and you should know what you mean to us. Keep the good job guys, cheers from me, one of the many truetons ;)
As a random person from the US, I still want to say thank you for your insight and your work (despite not knowing or seeing). And also like Mark said, you may not get as many viewers as bigger companies, but you may still have a significant impact on those who do see you. And I wish I could find a place to work that's as tight together as your group or Corridor's. As long as I enjoy the people I work with, I will stick around for as long as I can.
No real engineer would call Wren or anyone an engineer without -it- at least a 6 week crash course degree.
I havent watched mark in a while, but I've always loved his energy and the vibes he gives off.
So happy that Mark is there to tell Corridor how much of an inspiration they have been to all the artists like myself who watched their videos since the start and are now doing what they love because of them. Thank you Mark.
This was such an informative talk about the youtube cosmos. Love it!
Impressive I appreciate the real conversations. I value this above all else that you do on your CHANNELS ' content which also impresses me. Thank you. Blessings.
This is so awesome and I can't wait to see how yous blend together for the period Mark is there and see what yous learn from eachother. Much love ma doods
Just watched the entire video and man this video honestly hit, this group, this crew is so inspiring it is honestly insane and I wish to be as amazing as they are. Absolutely love it
This podcast had a lot of deep discussion and I appreciated that a lot. Thank you
First time the CZcams algorithm brought up a CorridorCast Episode! Loved it! Just wanted to say thank you for all the amazing content!
As for the ad reads, I will confess, I oftentimes skip them. BUT ONLY because you frequently advertise physical products that are not available in my country and/or cannot be shipped to my country (Switzerland). Digital stuff, like VPNs and what not, I usually watch till the end.
By the way, a friend pointed out an amazing mirror effect in the 1962 Japanese movie Hitoribotchi no futari daga (ひとりぼっちの二人だが) . It's similar to the scene in 'Contact' you already did react to, but I think it goes even further? I have no idea how they did it and it would be amazing for you to try and guess or even break it down how they achieved it.
Corridor’s and Mark’s videos always renew my passion for creating and remind me of how much I want to learn. They’ve all inspired me to pursue my own projects and it makes me love what I’m studying.
I hope that you guys take full advantage of being the company that can say "Oh yeah, we've got a new intern working for us and it's FUCKING MARKIPLIER."
Literally listening to this and watching the new episode of Alone. Bless you Mark
I love getting an ad in the ad section of the cast. Gotta love that.
Mark is right, I have learned a lot from corridor that I can apply to photoshop. They are great inspiration and knowledge for all sorts of creative people. For instance, Nico’s lessons on lighting can even be applied to conventional art mediums.
I got CZcams Premium a couple months ago and there is no way I'm going back to free. I've also been a Corridor Digital member since March 2021. I'm with Mark. I have my subscriptions on CZcams and I got the channels I know will drop a video on this and that day. I do use the algorithm suggestions, but mostly rely on the main channels I follow. 99% of the time, I watch CZcams on my TV through the CZcams app. I don't like watching videos on my laptop, tablet, phone.

@@cruelkid420 I know all the ways to not have ads, but prefer to support the creators I enjoy. I find Premium is well worth it.
These cast episodes are always goldmines of knowledge and inspiration. They are unerringly relatable, as they cover topics universally contemplated at some point my nearly anyone and everyone. Corridor Cast is the ultimate supplement to my personal development as a creator. Thank you!
i love this. My two favorite creators coming together
I absolutely LOVE seeing the collaboration between Mark and CC (or Mark popping up in Corridor Crew vids as an intern)
Regarding the adverts in the videos, if i see the timer pop up i always just skip, if there wasn't a timer i'd probably start watching some of it or all of it tbh, but i do love using the timer to skip it >.>
Niko I feel EXACTLY the same way about RRR! After seeing it 4 times in theaters with friends, I always got the payoff where everyone I took cheered! You need to make a video about RRR sometime, it really is a masterpiece and leaves an impact unlike other films!
Love that you talked about the arrow in There's An Alien On Your Head bts always wondered how you did it :)
I've never actually heard of CZcams TV before this podcast, but I get ads for youtube premium all the time (though they don't really communicate what it does beyond getting rid of ads). Also, I didn't even know it supported creators more, I always thought it just lined CZcams's pockets. If they advertised THAT side of it, people might be on board.
Talking about missing stuff, I do miss the old content like the stuff on NODE like the nerf battles, TTT, spyfall, the mansion content.
Love this video. Seriously inspiring and wholesome. Both Corridor and Markiplier seem like genuinely amazing people.
What a great podcast 👏 love the raw emotions and inspiration. Great work guys
Mark always had the best taste in the games he streamed, this was bound to happen. Good job guys!
Y'all really gotta have a sit down with Joel Haver. His views on movie making would challenge yours in such a good way.
Sam mentioned him on the podcast a while back when he first blew up (about being interested in his stuff) so they're definitely aware of him, don't know if they are really in any of the same circles otherwise but I'd love that.
This is great! One of my favourite CZcamsrs is now In corridor, which I already like. I feel like Mark fits in the team perfectly, at least from a personality standpoint, he may not know much about Visual effects but he can learn a lot from the rest of the team. I really hope he somehow doesn't leave and stays. Very nice.
What a powerful chat. I love looking back at the old Rocket Jump, Markiplierand Coridor videos and seeing where you guys have come. The sonder is real. I would love to meet you guys someday, maybe even work with you, though I know nothing but basic video editing. Who knows. Thanks for your honest craft.
The subscription box might be my favourite thing about CZcams: one spot for all videos by all the channels I'm subscribed to _in chronological order_ !!
Mark is extremely correct about your guys influence, as I'm apart of it, I started making video games about a year ago, and it was because of your video with Peter when he made Smash Bros in a week, I couldn't believe the creative tools were there, mostly for free, and attainable by anyone, to make something like that, it was life changing, I've been working diligently since last April to learn Blender and Unreal Engine, and currently have 2 games I'm constantly working on,trying to learn and perfect what I'm doing. It's been a long road, and the initial learning curve was tremendous, but I can honestly say I'm making progress daily and learning something new almost every time I begin working on my project for the day.
Excited to see Mark's career from here. New and small youtubers are always interesting
Mark talking about his experience with meeting Make a Wish kids made me tear up. The fact that this man can bring happiness to so many people during their final months or even hours is just spectacular.
this podcast went straight to the heart
That was an excellent episode. Got very deep near the end but it was very humbling.
I know who Markiplier is. I have never watched Markiplier. But after watching this I think I will begin. That's a funny dude.
I watched the first part of “In Space with Markiplier” after he was in a Corridor Crew vid and it is genuinely one of the best things on this website. I haven’t checked out too many of his other vids but he seems like a really cool dude.
@@rohanimations after watching this Corridor Crew episode and thinking back to it I think I saw something of his while I was in a bad place mentally and it kind of scared me away from him. But I'm in a better place now and I think I'm going to check him out.
He's much more bizarre when you watch his interactions with his close friends. Watch any video with Bob and Wade, or any old prop hunt video.
Markiplier is the reason I've started CZcams, watching what he did with "In Space" from where he began really inspired me and showed that you don't have to know what your doing in order to figure out how to do it, and you don't need classic opportunity of schooling to learn your passion. To know that he literally would not exist without corridor crew and to watch him sit here with them after so many years. Passions really do become realities as long as you don't give up on them. If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.
This was awesome just the hear more about life off youtube when your someone whos on youtube. Obviously its something that comes up on the podcast a lot but when you have someone from outside of your buddle that you can also have that converstaion with, it brings out new and intersting topics.
