This is an excellent travel video tips to Japan! Thank you!
Cheers Milen! Are you planning a trip to Japan?
thank you so much for making a 7 day video! this is exactly what I needed
Hope you have a great time in Japan!
Thank you for the amazing video!
Cheers! Thanks for the channel support and great Sake I got to try!
I have seen it mentioned in the comments before but we also don’t get how you don’t have many more subscribers. Like you, we have around 10K but your research, content and final production is exemplary and deserves to be recognised as such. We are confident you will be climbing quicker soon. ATB.
Good things take time. Ive been getting more subscribers recently but every comment, like and share helps as I'm sure you know :)
Excellent video that fits perfectly for us looking into going for the first time. Much appreciated.
Have an amazing time!
Millions of likes and love for this video! I just loved it! ❤
Cheers!
loved this. im going for the first time soon. this was really helpful!
Glad to hear it!
I love your production!
Thanks!
Thanks for this vid, this one alongside the one of tips for japan and the Japan Rail pass give me enough info to finally start to make an itinerary for my trip, I hope the sights are still good on September!
The JR Pass is increasing in October so a September trip is a really good idea if you want to save money haha
Great video, some excellent tips.
Cheers glad you liked it Travis!
Love all your videos. I’m going in September and am already so excited
Awesome, Septembers a great time to visit, end of Summer and still warm out
@@InakaAdventureWon't get to see the cherry blossoms in end October, right? Or can I?
Very beautifully explained for a first timer. You have a special knack of using precise words that save time and what you say has a punch. Loved it ❤
Cheers! Glad you liked it
We plan to visit Japan in seven days next week. Thanks for the video ❤
Awesome to hear, hope you have a great trip!
Oh my god this so so amazing! I have to do a 7 day itinerary for school and I have no idea what I would do if I didn't have this as a reference. Thank you, you are a lifesaver
No worries, good luck on the project
Just wanted to say your videos are some of the best I’ve watched on CZcams. I’m traveling to Japan in 2 weeks and I’m following your 14 day guide almost exactly. Your insight has been so helpful and the way you sneak in tips into your videos is great!! I don’t comment much on CZcams but I just had to say great job and thank you!!
Thanks JB, hope you have a great time in Japan!
Thank you
You're welcome
I was just in Japan yet I’m watching this. Your videos and editing are great.
Cheers Kaptin, how was your trip?
@@InakaAdventure it was great. I travelled solo and it was the first time for me. A bit daunting on the first day, but smooth sailing the following two weeks.
Awesome! Always good to challenge yourself with something new, happy to hear it went well
So Spring is the best time to visit Japan??? I was just talking to my daughter yesterday about visiting Japan for our 2025 travels trip. I love the Japanese culture and the beautiful people there. This video really cemented my commitment to visit. Thank you so much!!!
Spring will be the best for the majority of travelers, its certainly the most iconic time to visit. Personally my favorite is Autumn, its less busy than Spring but still incredibly beautiful and not too hot like Summer. But its all about what you want to do on your trip
Thank you for the Tips🥰 watching from Toronto ❤️🇨🇦 New subscribers here👍👍👍
Awesome glad to hear you liked it, what future video topics would you be interested in seeing?
Amazing video. I will be watching this on my way to japan lol
Awesome! Hope you have a great trip!
Thank you for the informative and entertaining video. Congrats on the sake sponsor.
A toast: Here's to gaining many more subscribers. Cheers! 🍶
Cheers Ayase!
Came across your videos and exactly the tips we are looking for. Making notes (pausing and rewinding). Do you have a written summary of the 7 day japan or any other where you go day to day? Will keep watching them regardless. They are the best
I plan to write up some downloadable guides in the future but its just in video atm
Awesome plan. We are going March 2024... 14 days .. planning to use this as our initial guide and take longer here and there!
Hope you have a great trip! Remember to book early for spring and that prices to the JR pass are coming this year so it might not be the best value at that time
❤
I have no plans to visit Japan… but here I am lol 💙
Its fine to dream, you might visit in the future
Another great video! I also think something should push you to the 100k mark but that would mean you'll be big and fancy and not responding to my ridiculous questions. :)
Only ridiculous questions Ive had was one guy on reddit. Ill be able to reply to most comments for a long time anyway haha
If you want the blue symphony, you pretty much have to book 30 days ahead (which is the maximum open window). I tried just 5 days after (25 days ahead) and could not find a ticket.
Just had a look myself and it seems that is the case, kind of crazy how booked it is with the Spring Travel Boom, last time I went on a weekday and could book it a day in advance. Still there are other trains to get to Yoshino at least
Actually we queued up in JR office and bought our jr pass. Worth doing.
All these agents in uk had bad to poor reviews in terms of delivery, after sales, price and complaints. So we decided to buy it at narita airport when we landed.
Great. It covered the fair from airport (return) express to tokyo, shinkansen, jr local rails in kyoto, osaka, fujikawaguchiko and tokyo.
Suggest you buy it at the airport.
Its worth noting that its only temporarily possible to buy the JR Pass in Japan, great you could take advantage of it, but I think there is only one month left people can do this. I talk about it in my 16 Tips for Travels to Japan Video: czcams.com/video/lzIudok713k/video.html
Hi, it'll be my very first time visiting Japan in October of this year, I'm just now learning of JR pass. How much is a JR pass, and how long is it good for? Am I able to use the JR pass for taxis, trains, basically all forms of transportation? How does it work?
Thank you for taking the time out to reply.
Watching from India👍
Awesome! Are you planning a trip to Japan soon?
I travelled without JR pass: Land in Osaka, depart from Tokyo, or opposite.
One night bus between Kyoto and Tokyo was not much booked in advance.
Just pay individual ticket between Osaka and Kyoto.
We went to Kawaguchiko and Nikko, and I am not sure it was JR network anyway.
Great content anyway, remind me good memories
When one way its more of a toss up to get the JR pass or not, unfortunately with the price changes more people will probably do point to point trips instead of round ones.
Great video thank you!
Anyone recommend a good site to book packages to Japan? Thanks
Yeah you can book tours and activities here www.klook.com/en-US/tetris/promo/cherryblossom/ (code INAKA15 for 15% on Spring Tours) they have a promo on sale until March 10th, if you're travelling to Japan later in the year you can also use INAKA5 for 5% off first purchases
I am traveling in late May for 7-10 days and hoping to squeeze in Hiroshima for a day. I feel like Japan is a country in which you need to be very organized to travel to and unfortunately I am bad at planning things. Maybe that is unrealistic.
Its not impossible to add it as a day trip from Osaka, it takes about one and a half hours to reach via Shinkansen so you could go down in the morning and come back at night. I should know, because I just did that to go take photos of Miyajima
Very polished video! Loved it I'm so in love Japan and will get there sooner now I've watched your video's 💯
Glad to here it! What type of videos would you like to see in the future?
@@InakaAdventure The back street restaurant's in Tokyo, back to back bars etc
Where can I find the rest of this video / the list of those onsen?
This seems exhausting and I probably won't be able to follow it as a first time solo traveler, but it's a good place to start.
I always recommend people just go at their own pace, these videos are designed with maximum options so you can pick and choose because you can learn whats available
Hi man I like the style of videos you make I will be travelling to Japan in august for the first time and celebrate my 27th birthday I was wondering I am from the Netherlands Amsterdam which is a very long way to Japan and I am huge manga reader and I was wondering if you can make a guide for the best manga stores in Tokyo and more Otaku stuff?
Thats a good idea, I might do it in the future. The best Manga shops are really all found in Akihabara just walking around looking at everything you can find
Can we have a 1 month in japan video!
I'll be coming in either august or September for 4 weeks
Closest I have is 2 weeks haha czcams.com/video/er3W4ieNpW0/video.html
@@InakaAdventure that would be cool to see, I’m going for a month using the 21 day JR pass to see as much as I can outside of Tokyo and would love to see what you think are some of the best things to see
Hi Inaka-san. We are going to Japan in June and planning on visiting this exact 3 places. I was looking into Tokyo-Osaka then back to Tokyo and just doing day trips or 2 days between Kyoto and Nara. But your video made me rethink lol. It looks like it will be better to do Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka then back to Tokyo, dont you think?
I think that makes the most sense if you are doing side trips to Nara which is about an hour away from Kyoto or Osaka depending on where youre staying
Iam travelling solo in September , going to follow ur 7 day itinerary.Any tips for which hotels are budget friendly in these three places ?
Check out this video on tips for traveling in Japan: czcams.com/video/lzIudok713k/video.html for hotels i use booking dot com, its cheaper when you search inside Japan or use a VPN
Damn the JR Rail pass looks like it doubled in price!!!!
Yeah 77% increase is very sad, ill do an update on train costs video soon
What are the dont's for photography while traveling around Japan? I will be there for 3 weeks in March of next year and want to make sure i dont offend anyone in my travels. Thanks for any help.
Not so different from any other country, if you see a sign that says no photos then put your camera away, don't take photos of schools / students. There are some special rules for drone photography that was implemented this year though
There is a movie called Seven nights in Japan. Michael York and a lovely Japanese actress in it. It is a great movie.
Might have to check that out, seems like an older movie so might be interesting to see how the country has changed
Hi what would you recommend for june 27- july 7th
Drinking a lot of pocori sweat, its going to really hot
I’ll be traveling to Japan May 22 through June 6. This will be my first time visiting Japan. Do you know if we can ship our luggage to an Airbnb from the airport?
You can ship luggage to any address, but someone needs to be their to accept the delivery. So I don't recommend it to an airbnb because youll have to arrive before your luggage, and wait to accept it.
We plan to visit Japan in the next two years thanks for this!
Awesome hope you have a great trip! What part of Japan do you want to see the most ?
@InakaAdventure really want to go to Ginzan Onsen, but the big three for sure Tokyo ,Osaka, and Kyoto
I was going to go to Ginzan this year, but something came up and then the snow stopped so I couldnt get that photo I wanted to take, always next year for me i guess
@InakaAdventure would live to see a series of the best ones to visit
Onsen is in the works, but I just have to get out there. Gero Onsen was my favorite so far though
Does JP railway covers Tokio and Kyoto region transportation ? As i read jp rail pass doesnt cover bullet train from Tokio to Kyoto?
JR pass can be used on all JR lines, not subways. So you can use it for the Yamanote line in Tokyo but not the metro, you can absolutely take the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto, I have more information on using the trains in this video: czcams.com/video/yEnNqY6s9Ck/video.html
@@InakaAdventure very informative series, thank you!
👍👍
Glad you liked it Akira, what sort of videos about Japan would you interested in seeing in the future?
@@InakaAdventure Thank you for your videos..More tourist spots for a single traveler especially women, and also to those anime lovers.
Also videos that focuses on one place for example osaka only, the prices of the foods and accommodations. Events and yearly celebrations, etc.🙂🙂🙂
Hi I was wondering if you can do kyoto in one day. We are limited with time
How many things do you want to do in Kyoto? You could probably Kiyomizu Dera, Gion Area, Philosophers Walk, Heian Shrine, Arashiyama all in a day that would be a good sample of the city
@@InakaAdventure thankyou will do that
Hi Inaka, wondering if you could help me out with this... Potential for a future video? Anyways I will be in Osaka for two nights, and for one of those days I'd like to visit the Operation Godzilla theme park on Awaji Island. Have you been there? Do you know if it's better to day drip from Osaka or Kyoto? I'd realllly like to visit it but I don't feel there is enough current info
Hey, I havnt been to the theme park but i have been to Awaji, it takes about 2 hours to get their from Osaka so you could do it as a day trip. Typically people go down to Maiko on the JR then get a highway bus from the bridge over
@@InakaAdventure Thanks so much 🙏🏼
If I'm staying within the city of Tokyo, I really don't need a JR pass, right?
Nope, its a waste if you're just in Tokyo.
I’m going from May 5th through the 14th with my bf we have tickets to universal one day but we plan on going to Osaka the night before and be there the 9th and the 10th and the 11th spend it in Kyoto, the 12th head back to Tokyo making a pit stop at Mt. Fuji and have the 13th and 14th as a free for all of anything we couldn’t do in the first few days of Japan and buy souvenirs. I was wondering if $4k is enough for two people without flights and accommodations included
May I ask what route you guys are taking to make a pit stop at mt Fuji? I’m wanting to do something similar but the train routes are significantly longer if not taking the Shinkansen direct from Kyoto to Tokyo :(
To get to fuji is probably easier to take the highway bus at a little each cost, its 2,400 yen and about 2 hours each way. Returning to Tokyo then Shinkansen down works or you can go down to Shin-Fuji station and rejoin the Shinkansen there
If you're smart with your money, about $4K should be enough. We're going Apr 28 - May 11 and we're estimating to spend around $2K each. With a daily budget of $60 each for food, that's $840 for food for $14 days. Adding the Shinkansens ($500) takes us to $1340. That still leaves over $600 for spending, other metro/transport fees, and activities. If we go over by a few hundred dollars, that's okay, but we don't anticipate it will be much more than $2K each. By the way, I'm talking in Canadian dollars, so if you're speaking in USD, plus you're traveling for less days, than you're definitely ok... Unless you like to splurge!
Can you update us how much you ended up spending? We're going in 2 weeks and I'm so excited.
We spent $2300 for 8 days, room for two. And about $500 each for flights.
I can't imagine spending more than $1500 each during this time. Unless I buy some electronics and stuff :)
Does anyone know where this summit park is? I cant find it on the map, thank you~
What do you mean by summit park, do you mean the thumbnail?
@@InakaAdventure Thank you so much for responding, really appreciate it!! @1:57 the subtitles said grab lunch from one of the many restaurants or a lunchbox to an enjoy the Hanami experience at Summit Park with view
Sumida park, its by Sensoji
@@InakaAdventure thank you so much 😊
Is a JR pass for a 7 day trip worth it?
Check out my JR Pass updated video for all the info czcams.com/video/b8WPcBksVAQ/video.html
We cannot buy jr pass from airport?
Not currently as I understand it, there was a temporary promotion that allowed people to do so but its ended now. Try to buy before going to Japan
Really awesome Video, I will visit next year but im sooo scared that I somehow screw up my train or anything else haha
Trains are really simple you dont need to worry too much. If you have the rail pass or use the unreserved seats even if you miss a train you can still use the ticket on the next one. Although prices are coming to the JR pass which might make it not worth it, I have some tips for first timers in Japan here too: czcams.com/video/lzIudok713k/video.html
@@InakaAdventure thaankksss
IF u have 8 days what else would you add
I might take the 8th day by flying up to sapporo, especially if its winter for the snow festival
A long time ago, Tsukuba got a lot of press as a "science" city. Is this still a thing? Worth a video, maybe?
Also... Osaka Aquarium! Interview the staff, behind the scenes visit, feed the fish, wrestle the squid, that sort of thing. :)
Might have to look into Tsukuba, there isnt too much information on it and its a fairly small city. One of the tech companies it attracted is called "Cyberdyne" though 👀
@@InakaAdventure :)
He loves posting clips at least once of the fertility festival. Lol.
Well it does boost my comments a bit ;) Although that festival does take place in Spring so it fits
