    I visited Japan in late September, from Tokyo, Hakodate and Kansai. It was very hot and humid but I had a good time. Next time, I will spend the first day taking an easy and rest

    Nice plan. For ueno if you are visiting the zoo it’s better to go before 3 or you won’t see the pandas. Any big attraction that require tickets like a museum or tower is better if make it first thing on the day’s plan.

    Greater Tokyo Pass is a good alternative of the Tokyo Wide Pass. It covers Kawagoe, Nikko, Mt. Takao and Yokohama as well as all subways and other private lines. It has 3 days (trains only) and 5 days (with bus coverage). But Tokyo Wide pass got me to Hitachi seaside park, kawaguchiko and Ashikagawa flower park. Yes, I was super tired. Don't be like me. 😅 I was able to explore much of Tokyo since pretty much everyday I was outside Tokyo. 😂

      Great that you used the full of the JR Tokyo Wide Pass. It's great the pass allows ride on limited express and Shinkansen. I haven't paid much attention to Great Tokyo Pass but it looks good if you don't use limited express and make short excursions for 5 days. Thank you for sharing your experience. 😄

      Hello Chris san, yes! I was going to tell you but I got one Sony camera finally. It's difficult and I'm struggling, found out how great iPhone is. 😅 It's delaying my videos and started to wonder if footage is important for information based contents. I need lots of practice and study. I will live with this one though. It's great you noticed it. Thank you!

    • @FromTheDeep2481

      Oh thanks so much for thinking about that@@tokyokenchan :) I have a Sony too, an A7rii mirrorless full frame, it's a little bit old now but it is so fun and can take some incredible shots. But yes, they are so technical, and kind of complicated to use on the fly without being a full-time pro, so can take quite a lot of practice to get used to. I used mine recently to take photos for my business site and my new headshot photo. But I was going to say your shots looked really nice. There's definitely a more artistic quality to the Sony ones, and I think they added a nice touch, another level of professionalism to your videos :)

    Helpful video for our next year's plans for our trip to Tokyo! Just as helpful as your past videos on Kyoto, which we are visiting this month. One question regarding Tokyo: we are planning to fly into Haneda, stay one night at the airport hotel and then use the Keikyu line to go to Asakusa and stay at a hotel there. Can you see any problems with this basic plan? Thank you as always!

    • @tokyokenchan
      @tokyokenchan  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Kavin san, Dale san, thank you for your support for the video! I'm glad the video was helpful for your trip next year. :) As for the travel plan, I suppose you arrive Haneda late? In that case I think that is good idea. T3 has Royal Park in by the terminal, Villa Fontane across from the T3 in the new shopping mall, and Excel Tokyu in T2. In case your hotel is expensive or far away from the airport, you might feel that it was easier just to take train/taxi to Asakusa. They used to have a direct bus to Asakusa but hasn't resumed yet. I remember you asked about the rush hour in Tokyo before, so if you are trying to avoid that, you might be able to go to the last stop (T1 and 2) by Keikyu and take the train to Tokyo direction so you can get seat for sure if you wait. However, I understand it's overwhelming after a long flight, so I think it's still good idea to stay at airport hotel. Please let me know if you have any questions!

    Hakone - Nagoya ( 1/2 day trip)
    Nagoya - Kyoto (4 days)
    Kyoto - Hiroshima - Kyoto (1/2 day trip)
    Kyoto - Nara - Osaka ( 1/2 day trip to Nara)
    Osaka - ITM
    Please let me know if a JR pass is worth it. I would like to get the e-romance car to Hakone and a local train to Osaka from Kyoto.

    Serious question about using outside onsen during the day... isn't that causing a lot of UV damage to your skin? It just dawned on me I always slather sunscreen on before going outside- especially swimming. But there's no way that would be permissible at an onsen. I hate sunburns and don't want to get cancer 😢

      Outdoor hot springs might not be so fun to take the bath under direct sun or in summer. It's always better at night or in winter snow. As you said, you can get sun burnt.

      @tokyokenchan  Před 8 měsíci +1

      In Tokyo, they do only January, May and September every year. The ticket will be on sale usually a month before or so. :)

      @@tokyokenchan that’s great because if I come in May then I will be happy to see a match and I will buy my ticket as you mentioned one months before. Thank you so much.

      My recommendation is Pokemon center at Ikebukuro, Shibuya Parco, and some shopping at Akihabara. I'd like to make a video about is someday.

      @jenny3496 Oh I think it’s very easy in Tokyo. Either going to department stores or stations, or sometimes there is a clean public bathroom. Thank you for asking. :)
