For those who's having trouble going to recovery mode. 1. Make sure that the cable is plug-in to your computer via original cable. 2.Then press the volume UP and POWER button at the same time after the charging icon disappeared. don't release your press to those 2 buttons and make sure that it is pressed properly. until you reach the samsung logo. 3. If done properly the recovery mode will appear.
Hey Manny, just wanted to say THANKS for this video. It worked amazingly well and I could finally get rid of that annoying notification. Keep up the excellent work.
I must say that I was doubtful, since I've tried other tutorials for different issues, and they never worked. Yours, however, DID!!! I'm so thankful I came across your channel on my very first try when searching for a fix. It was super easy, and worked like a charm. 👍🏻 Thank you so much!
YOU SAVED MY LIFE! Heheh. Please keep doing these videos. I could NOT find ANYTHING online besides your video!! I feel like you have a great niche of those random tech problems that no one can solve. You're amazing!
Hey man just wanted to thank you for this after watching numerous videos just telling me to let it dry naturally or blow a hair dryer toward it this worked. Cheers
Just had the moisture message randomly pop up on my phone, and wouldn't go away even after Samsung's clearing cache suggestion. Did this and it worked. Will save this to my Watch Later vids just in case it happens again.
Thank you very much I truly appreciate that... I just had that same problem and I've watched countless videos and none of them were useful until I came across your video I followed your steps and now the notification is gone and I can charge my phone
I can’t say thank you enough for this video 🙌🏾 I’ve been on the phone with two tmobile reps and they both told me to turn the phone off while turning the volume down to shut the phone off. Neither rep gave me the extra steps like you. I appreciate you!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This finally worked for me. My battery was completely dead, so I had a hard time getting to recovery mode. I blew out the charging port and set the phone on a wireless charger. After a few minutes, the S21 went into recovery mode by itself. It may have been because I had attempted to do this prior. Anyway, once in RM I followed the video instructions. My phone booted up after completing the App optimization. Thanks Manny!!
Once my phone powered back on I immediately got the unplug your phone error. I restarted my phone again, the normal way, and the error is gone. Thank you!! I've been dealing with this for months.
Bears Wood Working Like others have said some videos didn't work but when I found yours it worked on the first try. I Praise God for people like you and their service to America.
On an S22, thank you!! My phone port didn't get wet, I barely use it other than in the car for Android auto and it kept showing up. Cleaned it with electrical cleaner, Q tip, and it wouldn't go away until your fix! thank you!!
Dude, I have to say thank you as well as give you a 👍 up. You would think the geniuses at Samsung would have put this info on their website. What a huge inconvenience this has caused me. Once again, thank you.
THANK YOU BOSS!! Since i transferred everthing over from my s21 to my new s22 i got this problem. Never before i got it in 2 years😂. Glad your video worked. Thanks alot !
Thank you so much for the helpful. Was getting frustrated as this has happened a few times to me and i would just hope and wait for the message to go away
Manny, thank you sir I have owned Samsung galaxy phones since 2015 and this is the first time I received an error message stating moisture detected in phone's port. I own a Samsung Galaxy S21 5g since Nov 2021 when I upgraded from my Samsung S9. Today is 2/21/2023 my phone had been unplugged from the charger. I thought it was bizzare to see only 72% battery life. When I plugged charger into phone's port a loud noise with a dinging sound came on continuously . I was puzzled the message on phone advised to use a dryer or fan on cool setting . I tried that replugged charger to the phone and error message popped back up. Decided to google error and found your video with step by step instructions which I followed. Thank you again
Thank you so much for this video , I really didn't have any hope in fix thing this problem ,my phone wasn't even wet or anything just randomly appeared after I plugged the charger in
I was really hopeful this would work, but unfortunately it didn't. I didn't get my phone wet or dirty in the charging port. In fact, the moisture notification didn't pop up on my phone until after I plugged it in and all the phone people told me to do is sit it in the sun screen down foelr an hour with the power off and that didn't work either. There isn't water dmg either as they checked that too
Agreed. I'm STILL trying to restart mine. I loved my S5. I wanted the S22. It was not available. The T Mobile sales girl promised my husband and I we would be just as happy with these S21 FE models. We have both had numerous problems with our phones. And the T-Mobile service center employees made me feel like a leper they would not help.
All samsung phones encounter this error. Common thing was from battery drain and the moisture error will haunt the phone forever even though its dry no matter what you do. Solution: buy any iphone or android except samsung
My phone won't enter recovery mode, and when I try to resolve this issue, guess what, all methods of fixing the issue of not entering recovery mode involve plugging in the cable, which is currently not possible due to the moisture error message.
It didn't work at the first time but finally it did. My case (for my phone S21) was caused by getting some sea water (not much, phone was not under the water, but enough to penetrate to usb port). Then the moisture warning appeared and next day phone was unloaded completely. After few days later I charged the phone with wireless charger and I tried to enter recovery mode, but it was not so easy. To enter recovery mode You need to be connected by cable with computer, but my cable was not discovered by phone or the connection was unstable. Finally I found the new original usb cable and I could enter recovery mode and follow the steps from video. After restarting phone the moisture warning disappeared but unfortunately after connecting the cable it was appearing again and again. Then I read more on forums and found recommendation to clean the usb port as it can be damaged by sea salt. I cleaned it with toothbrush and spirit. Then I let it dry for few days. After that I still had moisture warning, but this time following steps to clear cache and repair apps worked and since that time cable charging has been working properly for any usb-c cable. Thanks
So effing frustrating ‼️ This is the 2nd time this has happened to my Samsungs ---> 2 different phones ~ the S10 and now S20. I tried every single hack I found online... some crazy shit like turn on and hit volume up 3 × and power twice, do 4 jumping jacks with phone in your front middle pants pocket, shotgun 7 Busch Lights in under 17 minutes, put phone in dryer with your favorite blankie, do the kickworm the entire length of your driveway, smack yourself in the face as hard as possible, 2 more Busch Lights and then turn the phone on and the ⚠️ is gone. This did not work,,, just got me buzzed up and sore the next day. Seriously though, I had to buy a new phone last time and now it's happening again. Bad thing is that there is no juice left and I can't get it to charge wireless. So I'm screwed....unless someone on here has any suggestions?? I'm lucky that I carry a personal phone but need that phone for work immediately . 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Since the last software download ( may 4th 2022) my 13 month old s21 ultra Has had this issues 4 times in one week , it's never happened b4 , it stays unable to charge from between 5 hours and 30 hours, it's driving me crazy, I so hope this works when it pretends to have moisture in it again ..
i followed every step you said and yes i cleaned out the port as well and there is no dirt or liquid in it. as soon as the phone came back on it immediately gave me the warning again idk what it could be then
couldn't get my phone to start in Recovery Mode. However, I connected my phone to PC via usb and after that it charged a minute ok from PC and when I plugged the phone back to the wall charger it worked fine.
Thanks for the great video, but unfortunately it did not work. Any other tricks up your sleeve? :) I know that the phone did not go near any moisture, so this is definitely a defect, but I am sure Samsung will use the "moisture" to claim it voids the warranty.
Did you clean it with compressed air? I thought my port was clean until I did that and a lot of dust flew out. After confirming it was clean, the cache wipe and restoring apps got rid of the message.
Update:. After persistently showing this message for 1.5 months where I had to use a wireless charger, yesterday afternoon I installed a Samsung update and Voila! No more message. The message was there before the update, and when the phone rebooted after the update was installed, the message miraculously disappeared Obviously this was a software glitch.
Fast and easy fix that I couldn't find anywhere online, thanks a million! Ps make sure that your charging port is actually clean

This method did work for me.

I was really sceptical, this could work after weeks of having the Icon, but it just did. Thank you so much!
I had tried everything including a hard reset and nothing had worked until this. Thank you so much!!
This is the only process that actually worked for me. Thank you sir!! You have a new subscriber.
Wow this worked perfectly! A Samsung software update gave erroneous USB moisture alert. Wouldn’t let me charge. This fixed it! Thank you 🎉
Completely solved the problem! , went to Google and searched for solutions for an hour nothing worked except this. Thank you!
Thank you so much, mine kept doing that and it was driving me nuts! Fixed it right away.
Bro I feel like I searched 100 videos and all duds, this was completely different method than the rest and this one worked 1st try, Thanks alot man

does anyone know how to fix the problem so that it doesn't happen at all
The only video that worked. I tried countless other methods. Thank you
Amazing!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Tried everything else and none of it worked, but this worked a treat!
Once my phone powered back on I immediately got the unplug your phone error. I restarted my phone again, the normal way, and the error is gone. Thank you!! I've been dealing with this for months.
Worked perfectly on my S21; thank you!
Thank you! It worked! Saved me some money on a wireless charger! Other videos make you do all kinds of stuff that probably doesn’t even work.
Worked perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing. I would have wasted so much time going to my carrier to fix.
Thanks! This was what I was looking for. Great video.
Thank you so much for the video...fixed the issue on my S21.

I've been dealing with moisture in USB port for a few days, and this fixed the issue!!
Thanks buddy. My problem was resolved after turning off, plugin and out the cable and turning on again. I didn't need to go to recovery mode anymore.
Thanks for posting. Fixed my s21!
Thank you!!! It worked for me. After two days of annoying notifications.
Thankyou so much!!! You made this man happy today!!! Blessings ❤
Thank you so much! This fixed my issue right away! :)
This fixed it. I knew a universal cache wipe had to be somewhere.

Same with mine. I'll never get Samsung again, they always have issues.
Have you solved the issue of your phone?
same here

Use a paperclip or something and dig all of the dust and bs out of the charging port. That's what worked for me.
Thank you dude. I never seen my mom so angry
Thanks so much. Worked for my S20.

Internet for the win! This cleared up my issue. Tech support wanted $100 to replace the charging port.

@@vikramvarma did this work?

How about going to your usb settings and clear cache data ? That should help if your phone never got wet or has been dryed up
Still works 11-23 👍👍
