- Here is how to Remove Samsungs Moisture Detected Warning in your charging port that won't go away even when there is no moisture and preventing you from charging your phone. This does not necessarily mean that your phone has become defective. In most cases, the fix for this error is simple: dry the phone. There are some rare cases though that moisture detected error may show up for some reasons. This fix Should work for both Galaxy S8, S9, S10, A20, Note 9, Note 10, Note 20 and several other Samsung smartphones. If it doesn't work at all you might be better off getting a wireless charger. #samsungmosituredetected #samsung

Thanks for watching, let me know if this worked for you
It worked for me, Thank You!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
No problem glad it worked out
Thanks so much! I followed all three steps and now my phone is charging again and no error message.
Awesome great to hear
@@Unique3160 nothing seems to work for me
Worked for me thank god, was literally losing my mind. I feel like Samsung "sneakingly" do this to force people to buy more chargers or a wireless one when their phone should be working just fine, kinda crazy.
Yeah I think Samsung should have a better way of implementing this warning. It shouldn’t be this hard to remove it.
Felt the same way, it's really annoying
The software protects the phone's electronics from being irreparably damaged.
@@richardstaples75 it is my choice if I wish to damage my phone. At least give me the option to turn the damn thing off. Tired of being denied a charge at 5 or 10 percent randomly.
Annoyiny my chargers works but only at 0%
Just step 3 was all that was needed to rip my wife's phone out of that mode she's been sitting in for MONTHS. You're a life saver bro! ❤
Glad I could help
Ty that work just step 3 worked very well
This was amazing. I have tried imaginable suggestion I could find online, and nothing worked until I found your video. What a simple solution!!! You are the only one who understood that the problem might be with the fast charger. I did exactly what you said: I unplugged from the fast charger and used a direct ubs plug on my power strip, and lo and behold, it began charging again (after more than one year!), and it keeps charging now even with the fast charger. Thank you!!!
Happy it worked out
Phone on 2% I probably won't make it through the video
Same
Im in the excact same situation
Try pressing power + volume up button.,
It worked on my a73 w/ drained bat.. 😊
How about s23 ultra?
3 years later and this worked perfectly. Appreciate it.

Do u have to slow charge all the time ?

Thank you so much! My S21 was splashed with the ocean water and I couldn't get rid of this annoying moisture warning for 1.5 weeks! Phone repair wanted $160 CAD to replace the port... I just watched your video and, though not right away, I got it to work! I used the old charger first, then plugged it into my old laptop but it didn't work. Lastly, plugging it into my Dell docking station was a success! Fingers crossed everything will be working fine now!
Good luck
@@Hindsight101 did it do the job? I'm in the exact same situation as well
1.5 weeks... fuck
You literally saved my life with your tutorial. It worked like a charm I was a little scared using the hair dryer but I put it on warm and on low not to close to the phone. For a 1-3 seconds and use the original charger. And the error message was gone and it started charging like normal. Thank god I found your video.
You're welcome
You can also do step 3 with a normal power bank (not a fast charging one).
Thanks for sharing the tip
did u used step 3, i m running with same issue
Thanks!!!!! Step 3 did it for me. I've tried so many of the recommendations and nothing was working (5 days in). This fixed it for me. This video is still very helpful 2yrs later. Great Job!
Oh good thanks
Turning off, charging, and turning back on cleared my code & will now allow me to fast charge again! Thanks so much!!!!
Awesome
Followed these instructions and it worked beautifully. I spent a lot of time reading forums on how to solve the issue, but to no avail. This video is much appreciated 👍
You're welcome
This guy is a genius! Incredible video. Super easy to follow. I did exactly as the video said and followed all 3 steps to the T. Worked like a charm! As soon as I plugged my phone in the water alert popped up then disappeared and went straight to charging! Thank you so much! I subscribed and I know for sure I'll be back whenever I need more tech help! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for the comment much appreciated
This video was spot on. Took just a few minutes total to get it working again. I thought I was going to have to wirelessly charge until I waited for the new phone I wanted to come out. Thank you
Great
That was a great tutorial! It was just what I have been looking for...short and right to the point. Keep up the good work, and thank you.
Thank you
If anyone else is having trouble with step 3 - try plugging your phone in, once the alert comes up (and won't go away after a few seconds), then unplug your phone a little bit (so the phone is no longer charging but the plug is still in the charging port), then plug it back in - thats what worked for me!! I also used a fast charger tho (its all I had on me), I just disabled fast charging in my settings 😊 thanks for the video!!
Thanks
thank you
Disabling fast-charge, turn off phone, connect charger(nothing happend), turn phone on with charger. notification was gone, turn fast charge back on worked for me. thank you
Glad it worked out
@@basdejong1196 the error is back and connot get rid of it again :(
Cheers man. Everyone without a moisture issue should try step 3 first, then the others. Worked for me, like alot of people in the comments. I didn't have any moisture in my phone and was a random popup.
Glad it helps!
I just went to the beach and noticed this on my S22 Ultra and it worked just as you said, thank you
You're welcome
Damn man,I thought I was doomed!!! Lol... Thanks for this video, literally the ONLY one that worked... Subscribed!!!
Thanks I appreciate it and glad it worked out
You're a genius! I had to do the last step and it worked. The moisture warning came on last night when I had my phone in the bathroom during a shower and refused to go off for over 24hrs. I was 1000% sure that the port was dry and no water was in there. I still did the first 2 steps just for good measure but it wasn't until the last step that my phone actually started to charge with a cord. Idk how you figured this out but I appreciate you for sharing this with the world.
Thank you and you're welcome
Just came back from following the steps to get my phone charging normally again. I just wanted to make sure you got my thanks!! 4 days with that moisture error and I was ready to disassemble my whole phone. Really appreciate this video
You're welcome
You just saved me, my phone was on 0% and showed the warning even though it was just laying on my desk all night. Thanks to you I don´t have to go to work with my phone at 0%
You're welcome
Thank You for this! Step 2 worked for me, I was lowkey freaking out as I have very important photos on my phone that I know if my phone was toast I wouldn't get them back so thank you again!
glad it worked out, thanks for watching
Hi. I want to say a big Thank you to you for posting this short but excellent useful video for moisture detecting warning.
As you mentioned my Samsung note 10 phone kept showing that annoying charging error and didn't allow me to charge my phone. As you mentioned I tried each and every thing everyone mentioned in the you tube. I spent almost 6 hours trying to fix the problem. My husband also has a note 10 , so I could do some wireless charging to keep my phone alive. I got so tired that finally I was thinking of doing a factory reset which I didn't want to do since I have lot of useful data on my phone. Thought of trying one more video and got your video. I had already done the previous two things you had shown so tried the 3rd step you showed and you know what it worked! The moisture detection warning has gone and I am able to charge my phone now.
Thank you once again!
Happy to help
Honestly didn't know/was very skeptical this would work, but it worked like a charm. Thank you! Saved me a lot of headache
No problem
Thanks so much for providing all the different options. I was skeptical about cleaning the port. But I did. I couldn't believe how dirty the port was. And that solved my issue. I don't have to listen to that annoying alert anymore. Thank you sharing!
No problem
Step 3 worked on my Note 8. Thank you so much... Rebooting my phone is too techy for me. Appreciate your video!
You're welcome
Dude you saved my phone! I don't know why you dont have more subs... Thanks for this!
Welcome! I am just glad to help people no matter the subs
The moisture warning came on my Note 9 a few days ago and I have searched Samsund support and all types of help from various CZcams and tech sites and yours is the only one that worked. I had tried step one several times and used compressed air to no avail. I was skeptical of using the alcohol cleaning being worried of putting any kind of liquid into the phone. Using a cotton Q-tip scared me as well. But your step three using an older model non-fast charge charger seems to have worked! I so appreciate it.
No problem happy to help
You are THEEEEEEEE best. I followed all 3 steps and now I can finally charge my phone regularly... 3 months and 2 wireless chargers later. I appreciate you!
Glad to help
Thank you! Thank you! I have a Samsung Galaxy S9, I followed your steps but instead used a toothpick with isopropyl alcohol wipe to get it to the bottom of the port. I cleaned out some black dirt and then followed steps 2 & 3 using a generic non fast charger. No warning at all and the phone is charging. The crazy thing is we are getting ready to trade it in for credit on a new phone.
I happy this worked out for you
Have the s9+
Worked really well, thank you so much. Step 3 was what I needed.
Glad it worked for you
I followed the steps exactly, and now my phone is charging without the notification. Thank you so much!
This video is absolute gold! First time in nearly 4 years of having my Galaxy S10 I've ever seen that message, originally, I thought my phone was daydreaming but then after the error didn't go away, I got worried, the 3rd step was the biggest help!
Welcome
You're a legend dude! Thank you so much for this! Subbed!

You are an animal, tried so many things but step 3 worked a charm! Thanks mate

Thank you. Thought i cleaned mine pretty well. The slow charge step finally got it done for my phone.

S21 - clearing cache didn't work, optimizing apps didn't work. Cleaned port with isopropol and compressed air (no hair dryer); didn't seem to work. Plugged in a slow charger (phone off), got the moisture warning. Ignored it and started phone. Phone started to charge. Let it charge a few %, then tried a fast charger - that now worked! Everything seems healthy now. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback and glad you're up and running again
@Hindsight 101, I was having the same issue but it actually wasn't moisture related. I had small impediments in the port so I used a soft bristle toothbrush to gently remove the debris. Thanks for the tips the phone started charging minutes later!
Great!!!
Worked for me! Tried Steps 1 and 2 multiple times this morning and yesterday and nothing. Step 3 was the only thing I got direct results from, but I'm sure doing steps 1 and 2 so many times before seeing this video helped. Thanks again very much man.
Awesome thanks for letting me know

These steps worked for me! Thank you VERY much! My phone landed in salt water (ocean) for about 60 seconds. It took closer to 6 minutes to dry out in front of a small ceramic heater. It is now charging properly :)

I think its defective
This happened to my brother's 10 today. First tried the rubbing alcohol trick, his port was gross. still showed moisture detected, so I tried the hair dryer trick, that fixed it
Oh good, it's scary how dirty a small port can get
Took about an hour after the last step but it did work. No problems since. That said I never found any dirt nor was I around water for the Alert to go off in the first place. But we had tried all the usual thing with no results until this. So I appreciate your video sir 👍👏

@@Hindsight101 Update on my reply...last option is also not working i dont know what to do.... :(
I found a similar but more simple way, especially for guys like me that don't have hair dryers. All you need is:
- something tiny and pointy (toothpick or dental floss pick)
- something sanitizing (rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer)
- one little square of toilet paper, or maybe even a very thin microfiber cloth if one can actually fit in there (not sure)
1. take the toilet paper and put a tiny amount of alcohol/sanitizer on it so it feels very slightly damp
2. wrap that toilet paper around the end of the pick you are using
3. gently poke the pick into the port and rub both sides of the USB conductor to wipe dirt off
4. repeat step 3 except with a piece or dry toilet paper to remove any leftover cleaner or any actual real moisture that was in there before.
This took all of 60 seconds and worked perfectly the first attempt. For me, the port was just dirty. Oh, and yes, turn your phone OFF when you are doing this.
EDIT: Don't use a Q-tip! That cotton can get stuck on the USB conductor and you don't want to be leaving pieces of debris like that in there. Worse still, the plastic part behind the swap can scratch the interior, which is exactly the opposite of what you want to be doing. If anything is unavailable, use your best judgment - the idea is you use a sanitizing cleaner which dries very quickly, put it on some material that can clean without leaving residue of its own, and you are poking into the port with anything very thin and pointy. EZ
So a couple of things
1. I have seen a lot of comments about men net having a hair dryer. I live with 3 women so I used what was available. But you could also use a heat gun or if your phone is that important find a woman and borrow theirs.
2. I can slightly agree about the Qtip comment. I would still use a Qtip but the quality of the Qtip does matter. I hate the plastic ones and the cheaper they are the less cotton they use so that could be an issue. But the more quality ones you should have no problem.
3. I have to disagree with using a toothpick or floss pick because those could do harm as well if your not careful
Just my thoughts but thanks for the comment
Brilliant. I tried out this solution and it helped me save money replacing the whole charging system. Thanks a lot
You're welcome
YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!!!!!
