    Excellent video. I definitely needed two people to get that belt on. Little trick. One person hold the belt on the roller, the other shimmy on the belt.

      Yes, after a few failed attempts myself, it would have been a lot easier to do with two people.

    Thanks for the great video! Just finished replacing my belt, idler pulley & rollers with the same kit you had, and it works perfect now. Getting those rear rollers off was a bit of a pain, and I had an extra set of hands for the belt/drum replacement...that must have been an exercise in patience by yourself. Thanks again!

    Thanks for the outstanding video. My son’s dryer wouldn’t start and found the belt was broken. We found your video and replaced those kit parts. Took us 2 hours plus an hour to run to Home Depot to p/u a new vent hose. It runs like new again thanks to you 😊. Also thanks for mentioning the 17mm wrench. I bought one before my son and I started the repair. For just the appliance repair company to come out and give an estimate was $120.00 dollars which we didn’t entertain. 4:16 foot

      I'm so glad that I could help! It's these comments that keep me going. They probably would have charged much more than that after parts markup and labor. Sorry about the foot!

    Those white plastic triangle clips on my non-Samsung dryer kept the rollers on the axels. You shouldn't have to remove the axel to remove the rollers. I am fixing a neighbor's dryer tomorrow and will know for sure if the axels need removed to change rollers.

    Thanks just changed my belt. Your instructions were right on the money. The belt and drum was a little aggravating. Two people makes it much easier.

    Very helpful step by step guide with great video support. There is a way to set the belt by one person, a little hard but possible if you put the belt on the drum first and instead of fixing the drum with front panel put something in between the bottom of the drum and the top of the motor box, just to make the drum stay as much as possible in its working position. This way you may be able to use both hands to set belt on the motor shaft and pull up the roller high enough to get the belt under it.
    The video is great anyway, very helpful, thank you!

    Thank you. My sprung came off the pulley. Because you showed so much of the process I was able to diagnose. It did not take my 15 minutes. More like 1 hr because I had to take it apart twice

    Well i was going to either pay for service or attempt this myself but now nope! Just going to get a new unit. This was helpful, thanks. Not going through all this on a 10 year old dryer to have the heater fail a few years later and do all the tear down again.

      I'm sorry, I am no appliance expert, I just share my experience based on things that I encounter, however, it sounds like a drive motor or drive belt issue.

    • @MicahMartinDIY
      @MicahMartinDIY  Před rokem +1

      It must be stripped. This is cheap aluminum constriuction. You may have to find a way to rip it out of there and replace it with a larger size screw.

    a little miffed you skipped the part on how you disconnected that door closed switch 😅 that thing was annoying! other than that this video was a great walkthrough 👍
    I only needed to replace belt and managed to get it into place just loosening the front and snaking it around the drum without having to remove drum.

    I never heard mention of shutting power off to the appliance. Shut the appropriate breaker switch at the panel, try to start the dryer and if no lights on the panel, pull the cord from the outlet.

    • @MicahMartinDIY

      Or you could just unplug it, which is most likely what I meant.
