A Special Evening With Cigar Legends | Davidoff of London & The Foulkes

- Having finally made it back to London, one of Kirby's first stops had to be with old friends in Davidoff of London!
However for this occasion, Kirby organised a bucket list event, a special evening with cigar legends. To share a special cigar with resident experts Eddie and Edward Sahakian, but also with author and cigar expert Nicholas Foulkes and his son Max, who works with the Sahakians at Davidoff of London, was a real treat.
Nicholas and Max have actually started their own CZcams channel, where they share and discuss cigars and great conversation, as only a father and son can.
Make sure to check them out here, and give their channel some support:

Ah, the gentlemen picked THE ROMEO Y JULIETA - did I not tell you Kirby!!?! Did I not!?! Lolol fantastic
How do you feel about the Romeo y Juliet by AJ Fernandez?

Can we, just for a moment, acknowledge that the lighting in this video, ....... Is so so so far from acceptable. The topic was great, people were great, conversation and discussion, all fantastic!!! Lighting=killed it all. Sorry mates. 😔 I really tried to overlook it, but its just atrocious.
So I can watch you looser dress up and act like gentlemen?
This is how I imagine me and my friends look when we’re sitting down and talking on LAN parties. 💀
Damn straight.
what are you doing here?! XD
@@toxicdragon2789 watching yt, what else?
I'd have never expected fucking anomaly himself to be here 💀
How the f did he end here
As a non cigar smoker that doesn’t own a suit , I find myself obsessed with the way these guys carry themselves. Sophisticated yet polite and sincere. 🙏👍
Why don't you own a suit?!! Is it money or do you not know how to start?
@@caesarortega5249 I would say myself I don't need a suit nearly ever in my life.
I did get a "quick" suit from Dressmann, and it fits 'nicely', but nothing on par with these suits displayed on these fine gentlemen.
You can shine up a piece of chite….but it’s still chite
So you are a stalker?
@@raisingbarssince1978 search what stalker is lad
‘Well it was a good interruption. I very much enjoyed it.’ What a gentleman. This lad is very courteous and respectful to his father.
The look between Edward and Eddie when Eddie offered his father a cigar was priceless.
The respect he has for his father is just remarkable.
I noticed that too @6:12
After Eddie politely took the box of cigars, offering to hold for his father, you can see Edward take a moment and seemingly stop time to make eye contact and thank him directly. It was a lovely little moment to observe on our end.
This is how I imagine me and my mates look at 4 in the morning racking up lines of sherbet.
This is exactly how it is brother 😂✌
Hahahaha
Indulging in some of that wondrous Peruvian pink flake conversation starter!
HAHAHAHAHA, class 🤣🤣🤣
Lol, spot on!
If we can just appreciate the level of respect, manner and courtesy Eddie has on his father. How he sits respectfully with no feet pointing to Edward, talks modestly, helps his father on the cigar, saying thank you etc! Thanks for the inspiration Eddie!
What’s wrong with pointing his feet towards his dad?
@@carlslater8843 it’s a mark of disrespect in certain cultures

The relationship between Edward and Eddie, a fantastic thing. I love and appreciate the way Eddie respects his father.
Eddie is such a pleasure to listen to. His passion and knowledge, I wish he had a show of his own. This was great.
He does have a channel of his own
I don’t smoke but to me the craftsmanship that goes into the rolling of a high end cigar makes each one a work of art.
If you think about it, there is no other handmade product made to such a large number!
Start smoking :)

Sahakians are the definition of class and being great hosts. Notice how they gave the best chair to their guests.
The son is holding the cigar box as the dad is picking himself one from the box. Class act!

The moment when Edward says “mom likes it when you wear that. It reminds her of when we were dating” ; it’s such a tender moment of humanity. These two giants in the industry with all the fame and money that come with it , striped away to such a raw familial moment. That is what these hobbies are about.
@@daibhidhSCO If your going to correct me about using proper British English, then it might behoove you to actually spell "mum" right. Ironic, seeing as how your people created the language you so obviously struggle to speak.

Welcome! Thanks for watching!
I'm new to the channel and just saw this one. As an English man in my 40s this is the style level I aspire to. Long way to go but getting there

-also much better than watching police videos
Wow... What an absolute joy this video was .... I sat with this playing and joined in with a stick of my own and it was pure bliss, a fine circle of gentlemen, enjoying each others company and sharing the love and passion for cigars. Bravo Kirby... 10/10
Very kind words James. Thank you very much. I am glad you enjoyed it
Awww that's cute
Had the sincere pleasure of meeting Edward today, he was outside the store enjoying a cigar and engaged with me for a few moments of his day. A true gentleman - I don’t smoke but love watching these videos.
Same for me last week, think he's a semi-permanent fixture on St James St!
I'm blessed to have discovered the absolute pleasure of enjoying a Cigar with my father every now and then. There's just something about it.
It’s an honorable experience that not Everyman gets to experience so cherish it.
You know this is special when a classic cigar plays second fiddle to the conversation among great friends
They are not great friends....
@@raisingbarssince1978 Yes they are. If it wasn't evident by Nick's trophy sitting on the top shelf of DOL, to Max working there and being very close with Eddie. No, you're right they are not friends, they are pretty much FAMILY.
The respect Eddie has for his dad is a thing to behold.
At the 6.20 mark, the look of pride and genuine affection passed between father and son.
cry me a river
these are racist family, they think asians are clowns
Focused bearing, impeccable attention to detail in appearance, gentleman’s behavior of not interrupting and listening, no “um’s or oh’s between sentences. Not a single annoying phone ring or interrupting notification tone - just respectful, well-thought conversation. I remember the days when you could talk well into the night as topics of conversation flowed and passed through time where you barely noticed it was almost sunrise.
8:15
23:01
29:51
Not a particularly interesting conversation though.
oh i'm sooooo ready for this, the sahakian's are extra special but man-o-man, the foulkes are just solid gold, funny, eccentric, clever and so very english.
Stay tuned… more great content with the Sahakian’s coming!
5:28 "It's a good reminder, only 5,000 of these boxes exist. There shall be one less at the end of this evening"
Pure class. I wish I was part of more conversations that have a robust undertone of decorum. That's how you turn a night with a few friends into something you remember forever.
It really is a privilege to be a fly on the wall during this meeting of legends.
Give us a break, dude.
😂😂 wtf😂
@@Fares-rd5bn sorry you’re too uncultured and poor to understand, clearly.
Kirby, what a beautiful segment you put together. I’m 62 and am currently in Paris at Cubana Cafe enjoying a lovely Churchill short. I love the Father and Son togetherness. The only thing that could be better would be enjoying this show with my three son’s.
Such a rare thing these days
If mine turn out to be 1/10 as courteous as them I’ll be over the moon
U know, I really want to find a way to open up to my dad about my lifestyle during this thanksgiving trip. (Not sexuality ha) I men just simply things like being comfortable trying to share with him that I’ve always had appreciation for things… cigars. Whiskey. But I’m alaways afraid he’ll be concerned of my development even at my age of 36. Any advice appreciated. well as working mechanic job, I’m back into playing saxophone jazz. Seems like if we could bond like this as “more “ equal and not to worry, we’d all

I watched the entire episode with a HUGE grin on my face. Loved it....just a brilliant piece of content. Thank you Kirby.
Thank you very much A. Rad! Very glad you enjoyed it
So did I!
I met Eddie a week ago at the London shop (my first trip) - he is a real gentleman and will speak without condescension to the neophyte, the expert and the dilettante alike. I look forward to returning!
Honestly the Sahakians have big hearts to just allow those cigars to be smoked free of charge, they are rare and expensive.
How $$$
The love between fathers and sons is the loveliest part of this. I hope I have this relationship with my son as he grows up
The two gentlemen on the left are some of the most genuine people I’ve ever watched on here. Beautiful video.
To see Kirby holding his own in this company is an Olympian achievement!!
These gentlemen right here are the reason I got into smoking cigars. Started about a 2 months ago and I’m learning more and more each day. My dream would be to own a shop one day for I can teach others about the history and make them happy with fine products.
As a avid cigar enthusiast I hate when cigars are compared to cigarettes, this video shows not it is only different physically but also a completely different experience as well
The Sahakians are very gracious and generous hosts. I will go into their shop one day as I work nearby!
It is in our nature as Armenians to treat our guests as if they were both dignitaries and best of friends.

Met Eddie this past weekend while visiting the UK. Unbelievable customer service! Cannot recommend visiting Davidoff of London enough
16:40 he realized he wasn't paying attention when he asked the question and changed subjects so quickly about the cameras what a boss lol 👏 😂
HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAAH
Legendary power move honestly 😂
This is quite literally one of the most enjoyable things I’ve watched.
They give a ton of respect to the young lad. Which is great to see
The father raised a good young man with respect and manners. Just by the way he carry’s himself and speaks, says a lot.
“But the Japanese wear suits!” Had me rolling 😂. Foulkes and Sons is a must watch.
There are levels to fine handcrafted premium cigar and spirits. Selective boutique manufacturers like Didier Cigars is truly special. I’ve done the pairing with Angels Envy and a Salomon from Didier Cigars. The experience is truly magical and sophisticated.
The laughs could pay my mortgage
Fantastic!
Your London trip stories goes from strenght to strength!
Marvelous stuff!
This is an entire world I would have no idea exists unless you had shown it to me.
The love that Eddie has for his father is truly unmatched ❤️❤️
And vice versa❤
I love the amount of respect between everyone
As an American I truly love the privilege of getting a peek at the cigar culture of some of the greats in the cigar world. They truly are greats in every respect. Some of the stories in this video are second to none also. Thanks for the video! Cigars are a relatively new passion of mine and it's nice to learn in such a relaxed environment.

The cigar basketball dream team ....5 legends...NBA level...!!!!!
I've never smoked a cigarrette in all my 37 years. I don't smoke weed or do any hard drugs, I've never been into vice. I allowed myself alcohol to connect with people in social settings and became a fan of whiskey, but that is it. However, seeing the ettiquite of Mr. Allison and company while exploring his channel (I initially watched for videos on suits), he has so inspired me that I have taken up cigars. This video was full of wonderful conversation, respect, friendship, and charm. I am so happy to begin the journey of experiencing all the cigar world has to offer. I am infinitely greatful.
Thank you.
This is the nicest, well mannered, gentlemanly group of men I think I may have ever had the honor of watching a video of. If the rest of the world behaved as these gentlemen it would be a much better place. I live and south Louisiana and behavior such as this is rare to the point of non existence. I would love to have the experience of sitting, talking, and smoking a cigar with any one of these gentlemen. I can honestly say I believe I’d walk away both more cultured and well mannered. Thanks for the great video!
La crème de la crème, of cigar legends in Britain and abroad. Marvelous.
This is like watching a blooper of 'Kingsman'
Yesssss. The umbrellas. I’m a big cigar guy. This is incredible to watch.
Gentleman with class is what I wanna be ...they have such a nice tone of talking and are carrying themselves with such class ... Cigars and suits 🔥🔥🔥
Watching these videos show me the difference between the cigar culture in the US and UK, the culture in the US is like hellboy, smoking them makes you look and feel badass, the culture in the UK is more elegant, smoking them makes you look and feel gentlemen like, and it's interesting how these two cultures correlate with each other and how they are two sides of the same coin.
Kirby, I’ve followed your tube channel for the last 6 months and since I’m a big cigar fan, I truly enjoy your knowledge and appreciation for great craftsmanship. Great job. Greetings from San Salvador, El Salvador. What a great group.
You weren't kidding, this was awesome! These guys are like characters from a movie, "9th generation, might stick around" haha I love it! That was so much fun. Also Kirby, horology is my true passion, I would love to see you do more videos about it. I know Eddie has an AP Royal Oak Offshore so he is definitely into it so is Hugo Jacomet, he has one of my favorite brands, Laurant Ferrier. I love watches, I just wish I had the funds to be able to explore the hobby more.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've been smoking cigars for 13 years and let me tell you something...I've learned more by watching Kirby's shows than I have learned in 13 yrs!!!!
Thank you my Friend!
I guess you haven't learned that cigars can give you brain tumors.
I'm waiting for the video on how to properly snort coke, and where to find the best dealers. Thank you.
Great video as always. Thank you.
White Owl!! 😂 Love that sense of humor right off the bat.
That guy is witty as hell
Kirby love your videos and the Sahakian's are my favorite guess . Eddie take such great care of his father. Great to see that. Salute from Florida.
The class of these men is so far above anything I'll ever be able to obtain in my lifetime. Great to just be able to listen to the conversations in this video.
I’m from Houston,Tx USA in my 40s smoking a padron cigar with you fine gentlemen. I feel like I’m the 6th man in the group enjoying a fine cigar in London.
I sat on my back porch by the fire with a Padron and watched this video, it was like I was there. Brilliant.

“No, Max smoked those” hahah too funny. What a treat this video is, and what an honor it must be for you Kirby, to know these men and share these moments with them. Thanks for another great video!
I know! I found that hilarious! Eddie certainly has a witty sense of humor! Nick didn’t seem too amused, though. lol.
A great joy, to watch such a great group of gentlemen.
Thank you Mr. Kirby this is first time I am watching a one hour conversation full on.
What a lovely video. Good conversation, wonderful stories, and true depth of knowledge. Also the admiration of the sons for their respective fathers and the fathers pride in their sons is heart-warming. With Kirby as the esteemed guest fitting in effortlessly.
This is fantastic, Kirby. Like said by some here before, this is an art we are losing. Taking the time for conversation and enjoying each others company, it's something we should cherish.

Thank you Kirby for making this and posting it. It’s great to see you, the Sahakians and the Foulkes together again. Hope to visit your facilities here in Dallas and to one day visit Davidoff of London in person. All the best.
Hello! I'm from Russia. I watched you and smoked my cigar too. I love listening to smart people.
I’m no gentleman, yet living in California and being witness to a once beautiful part of the world dissolve into unkempt mayhem, I cherish any display of elegance, manors and craftsmanship. It reminds me that better living is a choice.
Fantastic hour spent watching wonderful friends just converse without any pretense. Loved the father/son discussion. My son lives in London and when I visited him in October 2021, we stopped by Davidoff of London and took a photograph sitting in the same chairs you were sitting in. Unfortunately, neither Eddie or Max were there that day, but maybe next time. My favorite cigar shop in the universe.
