Roman's sketch was a 10/10 this episode.. COME ON BRAXTON
Cleared the fence by a MILE!😂😂
I'm going to surprise my next first date by bringing her to *Nordstrom Rack*
He went in INCREDIBLY HARD for this one!
Now I actually want to go to the mall for the first time in a decade.
How about taking your next first day to an actual movie theater where it's not assumed you're going to "chill". Kickin it Old School!
*_DAMN,_* Nick really went to a place with that department store bit. Absolutely visceral; 10/10
That's where I got this damn pretzel!
I could almost smell the dusty run down aisles.
Big “I think you should leave” vibes
Absolute gold, "IF I EVER STOOD ON TOP OF MY WALLET AND FELL OFF I WOULD F****** DIE!!" hahahahaha
It was so real I was looking for the "skip ad" button and was happy I couldn't find it.
It's not one of the best RCR vids without a section of audio that forces me to mute. I would not like to hear the word 'rare' for quite some time, though
Rare
rare
I don't know, there was some degree of ASMR to it. Literally lulled me to sleep. I had to rewatch the video. I guess it worked.
Well least it’s not as bad as hearing “HOT DICKS” about 100x

Congrats to Covette on having a class win in the GTE at Le Mans this year.
Finally! Someone talking about Le Mans!!
Yes, great race.
If the C6 is the greatest American sports car, then the C8 Z06 is probably going to go down as the greatest American supercar
Yeah that shit was awesome.
They’ve actually won their class at Le Mans 9 times. You truly can’t fuck with this car.
The C6 is almost as great as Roman's Department Store commercial. I almost fell out of my chair laughing.
".....and Diplo" 😂
"I'M YOUR BOSS! IF I EVER STOOD ON MY WALLET AND FELL OFF, I WOULD F**CKING DIE! YOU DON'T TALK TO ME THAT WAY"

Went from a nb 1.8 to a ls3 z51 C6, similar levels of stupidity just in different quantities, these 2 cars evoke very similar emotions in you and are in some ways similar cars because of that, it's just that the miata gives you a spoon while the corvette gives you a bucket. Both relatively "cheap" to run (C6 gets similar if not better gas mileage on the highway) and will likely not make more cars like this. I don't see myself selling mine for any other vehicle, grab a C6 while you still can.
Hey car pal!
Apples to Oranges. They achieve different goals.
@@Lorentz_Driver I have to disagree. The only difference I can see is the higher top speed in the Corvette right before it gets wrapped around a tree.
Bingo. Miata is the answer...until it isn't. I had an NB and autocrossed/tracked it a lot. Once you can drive a Miata fast, a Corvette is kind of the natural progression and I got a C6 Z51...upgraded to the C6 Grand Sport after that and am still enjoying it. Been in C6 Corvettes for 6 years now. But saying a Corvette is cheap to run isn't really true if you drive them hard...they chew through tires twice as fast as a Miata and at least my GS takes almost 11 qts of oil. Everything is more expensive, but it puts an even bigger grin on your face too. The narrow body car did get around 30 mpg though...the wide body is closer to 23 mpg on the highway.
@@darksu6947 keep it on the track!!
3:50 this is the single fact that shocks my Non-Car enthusiast friends so much as well about Corvettes. "bUT bIG enGiNE wiTH mAny CyLiNDERs = SuPeR EViL GaS GuZZLeR"
It's so hard for me to buy a new daily driver because of how Reliable it is, how efficient the MPG is, and usable the storage space is!
Sure, I can't carry kids. You got me there, but I'm not having those anytime soon🤣
I've been an rcr fan long enough that as soon as he said the word 'rare' for the third time, I started fast forwarding in ten second increments. I love this channel, and like many things you love, you put up with things that you know make them happy. I know these make Mr Regular happy and that's enough for me.
Mr Regular is the only man who can make a 25 minute video about a V8 sportscar with NO sound of the car being driven, that I still wanna watch
This is an excellent point and I think it shows the caliber of RCR
“ this is a corvette that felt new when it was. Congratulations GM we knew you could do it” omg o laughed so hard at that one. Romans department store bit was also hilarious. Comedy gold boys, comedy gold!
I love my C6 too... I was able to get a '08 Z51 black convertible with only 34,000 miles for $31,000 out the door last September and man I have just can't stop thinking about it... Every time I get in I feel like superman... I am glad someone else felt the same way about the C6 as I do. I remember when I was buying this car everyone (including my family) thought I was wasting my money, but man the fun I have had and will continue to have with this car is priceless
department store is old school rcr and i can say with confidence THIS IS WHY WE ARE HERE
I'm here for the hot dicks.
My Corvette c6 is one of a kind, it is the only one made on June,12,2006 on this color with this trim level by a guy named *Dave*
OGs remember ver2
V2 C6? 2008 was meh! Other than the LS3.
I was here in the good days, brother
@@WingedKuriboh117 LS3 and TR6060? You're out of your mind.
Roman's commercial bit had me rolling.
I bought my c6 cause of the first review you guys made. Love my C6 and has been the best car I have ever own.
“Hanging up on customer service as soon as you hear an accent” 😂 this is all that needs to be said about being American
I’m loving Nick’s “Chris Rager” moments
"And im an old man as a child".
😂😂😂 the image of that in my head was hilarous to me
Im in the market for a Corvette and wasn't sure if i wanted a C5 or C6 but the shots goin' from one to another in this vid proved that my heart beats for the C5 - One of the most beautiful cars ever imo.
The C5 was the first car I really fell in love with. Bought one in 2012.

Like the usual RCR, voice content goes from amazing to f'ing annoying to amazing.
@@incremental_failure if by amazing you mean childish and stupid then yes I agree
@@donaldsalkovick396 This one, definitely. The previous vid was great.
I am going to buy one of your mugs. First time for me. I have always believed the C6 is the best. Liked it from the very start. Was great evolution of the C4 which was such a great leap forward. The C5 was a disappointment to some degree. The C8? Amazing, but too different a departure. Should have made Corvette it's own brand separate from Chevrolet by having both a traditional rwd model and the mid-engine model. Will be interesting to see what happens when the SUV comes out.
The rare-a-thon sounded like one of those wind up sirens from the 40s
Getting ever closer to the day mr regular finally, *finally* gets one of these for himself
He does exude a lot of Corvette-dad energy.
I hope he has some New balance sneakers and jorts. He may have to switch from the bucket hat to a branded ball cap.
Mark my words, in 10-20 years, it will come full circle and he'll become the old man that brags about how "RARE, RARE, RARE" his Corvette is.
roman put his heart and soul into that commercial 🤣
rick and morty writers couldnt have put together a commercial better than that
Roman's bat $hit crazy yelling voice is one of my favorite things ever.
😂😂😂
I've always had a little crush on the C6. Little more aggressive than the bubbly C5, not as aggresive as the C7, and was actually a performance monster.
C6 has c5 shape but with c7 type engines like the zr1
I went to a local a local autocross with a friend, in another friend's 1991 Acura Integra RS sedan. It was 5 speed manual, B20Z engine swapped, Integra Type R front brakes, larger rear brakes, sticky summer tires on 15 inch wheels. I was putting down decent laps for my first time on any kind of course, and this was a pretty tight and twisty one. I was putting down 43.5 second ish laps just behind an old friend in a lightly suspension modded manual Focus sedan on actual racing tires running 42.20 seconds ish laps, and had been auto crossing about 6 years at that point. The C5 and C6 Corvettes however, on what ever tires the guys normally ran on the street, were in the 38-37 second range, and the cars were barely getting above idle speeds at times! People can trash talk the Corvette all they want, but when it comes to bang-for-the-buck performance, All Hail the King! It may have stuck with often ancient technology, but the 'Vette evolved from humble economy 6 cylinder, 2 speed automatic, concept sports car on the streets, to a car that will put a smile on your face with great base model performance that has infinite potential, and can do so while sipping fuel......
I like the aesthetics of the C5 more, but DAMN the Corvette C6 is so hard to beat for what you get. Just the fact that the base model made as much power as the previous generation's top model speaks volumes about what the car is capable of. The Z06 not to mention, making Porsche and other supercar makers sweat on every single track while being more practical and reliable too. It's literally the jack of all trades, and even today it's hard to find a similarly fast car for the same price. And when you get to the ZR1 you can find only few cars that are easier and better to travel at high speeds than this thing. Even today this thing can hold its own in top speed runs. I remember the French did a top speed run with this car and the current 911 Turbo S and 458 Italia and it beat all of these to 300 kph
I've always loved the C6. I feel like it's the culmination of all the generations of improvements and visual changes to the Corvette models. Same classic Corvette design language, no dated pop-up headlights, nice sharp angles. I thought the C7 was okay, and the C8 was a bold move and definitely cool, but I feel like they were lateral moves, or shifts to a different philosophy entirely. The C6 is at the peak of that original style.
I need more Which X is Best X videos because not only do I find them hilarious, my wife also finds them absolutely hysterical.
I absolutely love the personalities you use for the cars!
"It's like driving 4 Miatas at once!" - That's way too funny!
The thing is though, in terms of race winning pedigree, the C5 and C6 vette’s were absolute beasts compared to some of the more popular enthusiast cars you listed. The string of GT1 class 24 hours Le Mans victories was insane.
I fell in love with the C6 Corvette because of the Z06 with the LS7.
Good lord Roman, the department store sketch was….I don’t even have words. Absolutely epic. Beyond epic. I am speechless 👏
Watching him fumble with the targa top while knowing it only takes about 25 seconds to remove, stow, unstow and reinstall in one go was hilarious.
I actually liked that turn signal running lights. Made more sense than burning out the main headlights 😂😂
Yeah except GM did have a thing about not redesigning light sockets for the added heat of remaining constantly lit.
DRLs aren't the main headlights on any vehicle. They're separate bulbs.
@@ayoungtricknamedjim5498 yes. And in many cases GM used turn signal bulbs that weren't designed for continuous duty. Thus they overheat and melt into the socket to the point that the bulb cannot be removed when it burns out. Chevy trucks and Cadillac CTSs and DTSs are a few examples I've personally experienced this with.
Older DRL’s on jap/german cars usually used the high beam on a low wattage setting instead, and would last a lot longer. Incandescent bulbs are not meant to run at full power like that all day
i love the reference to Kum n Go gas.
it does exist, for real, out west. when i saw it the first time, i was like "really? they really did THAT, and got away with it?"
Probably when they filed that trademark the slang meaning of "kum" didn't exist yet, or at least anyone in the patent and trademark office - and likely the big-wigs that came up with the name too - didn't know it. And now it's grandfathered.
Yup. I remember when I first saw those convenience stores when I had to do a road trip to Nebraska. I had a similar reaction: "hell nah they really called it that 🤣"
This year's award for over the top entertainment goes to Roman. Not watching, just listening, on my way to work, I had tears, and uncontrollable laughter. I had to pull over. Roman, that was incredible. Thank you.
1:04 Me trying to start my car with a dying battery
Holy shit. I passed out during the rare-a-thon
My family got angry at me 😂
Yeah, I like his videos but he has to learn there is a fine line between funny and annoying. You don't have to fully send it every time.
@@JoeVoorhees full send every time. Absolutely. You wouldn't get unhinged moments like the Roman in this episode otherwise. "... You floor licking, lemon scented sack of shit! I'm your boss! If I ever stood on my wallet and fell off I would fucking DIE! YOU DON'T TALK TO ME THAT WAY!"
If you want a Grand Touring Roadster with rear-wheel-drive, a V8, and a manual transmission, you can do a lot worse than a Corvette.
I have a 20O5 Black C6 manual, I daily drive it in a major city where super cars are the norm. And non car people always come up to me ask what kind of car this is like it's some exotic. Such a timeless design.
Hey man, what kind of a car is that?
Where outside of Dubai or Monaco are supercars the norm?
“Well mine is a 1 of 10, the red paint used in production on June 2005 was the best batch”
@@kayEnt3rtainm3nt Miami. Beverly Hills.
@@osaji922 Interesting, thank you. I suppose it makes sense with the nice weather that that would be the case. Oddly enough, in some of the more well-off parts of the salt belt near me, of the US most supercars are quite uncommon EXCEPT for corvettes which come out of storage every summer to play. That's why it's so surprising to me that corvettes should be otherwise uncommon. Thanks again!
The grand sport/ z06/ anniversary edition body is probably one of the best automotive designs
Got to drive one of these when I worked at a dealership. Sure, it was an automatic, but the instantaneous respect for the power of one of these beasts is made apparent as soon as you open the door, let alone sit inside of it. Just accelerating to 40mph in these things is freaking incredible. You go fast even when you're not going fast.
We have a 2007 Monterey Red C6 and we have taken it on trips from Kentucky to Florida many times. It gets 28 MPG with cruise control set 80 and both the driver and passenger seats are amazingly comfortable. The roof is actually easier to remove and than you made it look 😂. Thanks for this review, my husband was glad you didn’t find too much wrong with it b/c he loves this Corvette! We have a 1994 C4 too but we love our C6 so much we rarely drive the C4 anymore. You are the one channel my husband and I always agree on watching. 🍻
I know the C6 is a superior vehicle to the C5, but I absolutely love the look of the C5 so much more.
The turn signal DRL rant really hit home with me, as my first car was an olds intrigue. Every two weeks one of the amber bulbs would go and the base of them would be melted when they did. The solution was adding load resistors and good led bulbs. The load resistors also reached the ambient temperature of the sun after a day of driving.
I had a grand prix GTP for many years and loved the HUD feature. not only was it cool but the screen on my radio stopped working so i couldnt see what radio station i was on but the HUD worked for that. it was also nice to never really have to glance down. it was right there. when i got a new car I eventually got used to looking down quick to see my speed. but one other cool feature about it was that it was digital, so it always told me EXACTLY how fast i was going. 32, 33. not like now where im like 35 ish. i miss that car a lot and id love to see one on this show. supercharged v6 family hauler from 2001? hell yeah. mine was the 4 door version which in my opinion was the best one. it only weighed 200 ish pounds more WITH A SUNROOF. amazing, such wow. also i almost forgot to leave out it had a heated drivers seat. no not seats, heated drivers seat because im the one piloting the ship so everyone else can piss off..
I was 11 when this car came out. It's been my choice car to use in every racing game I've ever had the option to use it in. I'm going on 29 now, and I still rubberneck whenever I see those headlights.
I rode in two Corvettes in my life so far. Dad's cousin had a 2000 C5 convertible red stick black interior as a company car and he took me for a ride with the top down! As a 13 year old, I loved the sensation of speed, handling, and torque off the line. My next ride was in a C7 Targa in 2017 my stepdad's brother owned it and he drove me to his brother's gig in it. I also have a picture of me sitting in a red Targa model at the Toronto international auto show. The presenter called it a convertible and I corrected him and he let me sit in it because he was impressed with my knowledge.
Love the song at the end based on Fountains of Wayne's Hackensack. One of my favorite bands.
Best performance from Roman I’ve seen in all these years, absolutely great 👌
I took my LS3 (because it’s better than a ls2 c6) to go to universal and it was 145 miles and by the time I got home I still had like 20 miles left in the tank. It’s really good on the highway
"pockets deeper than the contempt of your fellow man" 😂😂
Romans bit was amazing
C6 is the culmination of all the past generations. It's a beauty. I feel the C5 looks like a 90's Pontiac Trans am from the front, and the c7 and c8 were shifts in design.
My favorite looking corvette, in the best color non the less!
All Corvettes are red. The rest are mistakes.
As a former C6Z06 owner, the C7 is the best. C6 has a glorious chassis and engine with a Cavalier interior.
Can't do the tail lights though. The timeless circular lights should've stayed.
Understand your perspective and you're not wrong The Camaro tails have grown on me over time.
Anything short of a widebody and the C7 is Uggs.
Body's too sharp. C6's body lines are sleek and smooth, as they should be.
@@RyanRoadReaper it looks better from every angle.
The carpet pattern bit and popcorn smell caused an intense wave of nostalgia and revulsion that I'm still recovering from.
The video with the guy in the yellow C6 Z06 trying to do a burnout but instead completely destroys his clutch lives in my head rent-free
I loved my 2008 vette. That LS3 really woke up with a set of heads an intake and a cam.
Factory heads and intake manifold are fine. Cam only is 500 wheel. If you only add an intake and heads at the cost of another 4k for 15 hp you are silly.
@@carado1984 543 whp is what I was able to squeak out of mine and was reliable enough I could drive it everyday no issues. I don’t need to make 1000hp to have fun on the street lol Idk where you got I spent 4K on heads and an intake. I maybe had 1800 total on heads and intake that I got used from people who had upgraded even further. Intake was the direct port nitrous fast 102 intake with nick Williams 102 throttle body. Had spray but never needed it unless I was going to the track and that was rare as it was my daily
I had a 2013 Corvette six speed. Bought it will 11K miles in 2017. I sold it a year later… didn’t like it at all. Yes, it was fast and pretty ‘nice’. But wasn’t fun to drive. The fun was over before you knew it and you were doing 120 in a 60. IMO, it was/is more fun to run my 1994 Integra GSR through the gears all the way up to the 8000 RPM redline and still not be going that fast. I also sold my 2009 Bullitt Mustang for the Corvette, loved that car soooo much, really wish I hadn’t sold that Bullitt for the Corvette.
The love for the C6 made me happy...the after video, of getting the targa on and off, made me smile!
Perfect timing, just flew down to Dallas to Corvette Warehouse and picked up a 2006 Monterey Red Corvette with 11k miles in mint condition. Drove it all the way back to California. Best week of vacation I used from work so far.
I’ve owned a 2009 srt8 challenger in mopar Orange and a 2017 lighting blue mustang gt. All of them are great cars but this corvette is something else.
Good luck with the new ride! I would suggest a CAI, Corsa sport cat-back exhaust and a mild tune if it doesn't already have them. They will increase the car's fun factor dramatically.
Honestly that's some freaking incredible breath control
Giggity.
Well, dang, I feel old... I was 5th grade, going on 6th, when these came out. While the c5 was cooler, I was still pretty excited to start seeing these out on the road. So much so that I spent nearly all my savings (built up from mowing grass) on a huge r/c car version. Same color too!
I also got to geek out and sit inside one, also the same color, on a showroom floor when I went with my Mom to pick up her, then new, 2006 Trailblazer EXT.
Ah, memories....
So you feel “old” because you were what 12 when the C6 was introduced?!?! That makes me down right ancient then as I was 30 when it was introduced 😂😂 Try to enjoy your youth….it’ll be gone before you know it!!
😂🤣Roman’s got me fricken dying over here with his mid-commercial rant, 🤣💀
This is and will forever be the greatest Corvette review of ALL TIME.
My dog did not like the “rare” but I did
hell yeah ver2
13:20 I really live for these bits. Thank you Roman for making me crack my ribs while laughing.
As usual, the old men yelling at clouds were right all along.
What year are you editing videos in? I am genuinely curious what type of computer you need to actually build to handle DLSR and GoPro video exported in 1080p. I have a 7700k and 1080ti you can have for free that works great for editing
I dont know enough about editing to get what you mean here? Is the editing "old" style? He's been running this channel since CZcams started almost. Would he need to purposefully build an old computer is what you are implying? Why wouldnt a newer one be able to do everything and more that the 7700k and 1080ti can? You're assuming that he is editing on something even older than that? sorry for so many stacked questions im shook.
I can have it? Thanks Captain :)
can't wait to see the statistics show a big jump in skipping to the part after he lets us know his corvette is rare
That department store bit basically descended into something from Homestar Runner, perfect
Saw the thumbnail and not the video but 100% agreed. Objectively correct.
"It's finally up to Nissan standards!"
I felt that burn from here.
Literally just read this comment as rtr started saying it lol.
I blame Seth McFarlane for the Rare alarm…
Real "I Think You Should Leave" vibes. Sick. Killed it
Definitely starting to appreciate Roman's dips into madness.
Only two GM turd moments in one car? Awesome 🤣👍
Also worth mentioning is the C6 has essentially the same platform teardown as the C5 since it's directly based on that platform. Hell, you can use the same service manual for the C5 as the C6, and they even advertise it on the front page! The wiring harness is the same goddamn harness from the last update of the C5 too! It's basically just
You(c5) vs the guy she told you not to worry about(c6)
And I love it. I may have a supercharged C5 z06 making 583WHP, but I still want a C6. I love it.
I remember finding out and being blown away by the fact that the C4 Corvette got such great gas mileage on the highway as well, something in the low 20s which was still amazing to a kid back then. Because it was slippery and light weight, for the time.
The Dad fact on the detail spray was the cherry on top of this lovely video.
This review was pure chaos and I’m here for it! Subbed
I had an 01 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt with the HUD I loved it. I miss it quite a bit. Never found it distracting, & while looking down is easy having it up is real nice.
God that department store bit was like something out of a GTA game. Just absolutely perfect video again guys!
My wife is verry disappointed with the noises coming from my room while i am WHEEZING laughing. Thank you Mr. Regular
one of my best friends FINALLY, I mean FINALLY bought a corvette, and you know his ass got a C6! I'm so happy for him!
My grandpa has this same Gen Vette! I’ll have to use this, maybe coax him into driving it a little more often. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “But Milk, why did you grandpa buy a Corvette if he could’ve just bought a Solstice if he wasn’t going to use it as often?”
Well, about that, he did actually look at a Solstice when they came out! But… he couldn’t actually physically fit inside of the Solstice. And he isn’t fat, he’s like Vin Diesel’s body if he took care of himself, he’s just… wide. So another plus for the Vette over the Solstice and the previous Corvette generation, very good lateral interior space.
I am so happy y’all went with one of these for a giveaway 👍🏼 love the content guys!
holy shit, Roman killed it! hilarious stuff guys.
I love the Uncle Pulltab critiques of the C6 at the beginning
I agree with the title of this video completely. These cars are so good and yet so underrated for some reason
best ending to a RCR video i've ever seen
I was listening to this while coding, and the rare part really broke my brain for minute. thanks.
roman's part had me actually laughing
Man, my first best vette was a 96 LT4. Still have it. But recently at 63 I got my dream car , a 13 GS 60th Anniversary . Loaded one owner AZ car. Not sure I can ever warm up to a C7 much less an 8. This GS is awesome. Its surrounded by Cali SuperCoupes products . I get off just looking at that striped beauty. Likely my last corvette. So yeah , I agree.

The Your Local Dept Store skit had me exhaling and choking trying to not laugh, thanks guys
1:29 Mr. Regular does an excellent impression of my car's rough idle
