Just use an emulator. Most consoles have an emulator, and if you're talking about new consoles, they will likely have emulators in the future.
Just gotta blow in the cart a few times. Eventually, the dust will be arranged perfectly for a credits warp.
Sonic and the Secret Rings can be beaten that way, you only lose when you start playing.

I know this was on an emulator, but imagine if he played this with an actual controller. All of the buttons look worn, but the right button is in pristine shape. Those who look upon it scratch their heads in confusion.

More seriously I was using two emu profiles while doing this game casually and one (stable 30 fps on my device) was crashing everytime you get a level up, and second (around 20 fps) was crashing everytime you open the pause menu....

The left press in Marble Garden could probably be just barely skipped by gliding into the hitbox on the face and jumping every time you hit the floor to maintain momentum. It's gonna be really hard and have extremely strict timing.
Has there been any progress on it?
I never tried, I just offered a possibility. I probably could try though.
Ironically when I first played Sonic 3 & Knuckles my d-pad was broken, so I attempted to beat the game without pressing right.
It went about as well as it sounds.

EDIT: Turns out Razor and Zenon actually also did a playthrough of a mod that automatically kills you if you press left or right (in most scenarios). It doesn't seem to be a 100% accurate version of the game, with concessions made such as adding in springs, but it's a great way to simulate the run. czcams.com/video/5xcaGkyeZRA/video.html
A note on the 2nd Left Press: there does exist a zip glitch in Marble Garden Zone that could potentially be used to skip to the boss, but I'm an idiot so it's not mentioned anywhere in the video. I've yet to actually figure out how to get through it myself without horizontal movement, but it's very likely the second press can be shaved off using this glitch.
Can you beat any Pokemon games using only starter pokemon?
So this means only 1 pokemon in party, but if its too hard, you can add in your party one HM slave pokemon up to 4 HM moves and they cant be changed and it cant be used in fights.
So in short:
Try first beat any game with starter pokemon only (It will be also your HM slave)
If that doesn't work, Starter pkmn + 1 wild pokemon that will be your HM slave*
* Extra challenge: If you have to get HM slave, try avoid giving all 4 HM moves, try keep it minimum.

Tried to beat Megaman 3 without sliding. It kind of worked after I beat Magnet Man, Shadow Man and Spark Man, but I couldn’t get past the rest of the game now. Top man and Hard Man’s stages were impossible to get through because their stages put you into a soft lock. Even trying to use Rush Jet to get through the sliding parts is a pain. But I will dare you. To try and get through Megaman 3 without sliding.

I don’t mean without taking a hit. I mean having your ring counter never leave zero. Most zones have an area where most players would be forced to collect a ring, and I’d like to see Gamechamp get around those areas.

If I remember right, the first Sonic game was (possibly deliberately) designed in a way that it is possible, if tricky, to complete the game without getting a single ring. The "omochao edition" fan mod "encourages" this playstyle by having the Sonic Adventure 2 tutorial robot, Omochao, interrupt the game with an increasingly longer tutorial message each time you grab one.
Sonic 2 would be interesting.

You can't do Majora's mask in one cycle, at least glitchless.
If you exclude the necessary ones it may be possible
Badarm why WOULDNT he use glitches when he uses them for almost every other run?
Not counting the cycle required to get the Ocarina of Time, it's very possible to beat the entire game in one cycle. However, even with glitches it's impossible to beat the game on the first cycle. You NEED the Ocarina Of time to become human, and the Ocarina of Time is at the end of the first cycle. That's why World Record Runner EnNopp112 still has to do first cycle in his 1:15:59
Young Link the majora one would have to be two cycles since the first one is mandatory.
You can try to go into your "oh-no!" animation in launch base zone.

This is gonna be a really weird compliment, but thank you for being such a fast speaker. I often have to increase the video speed to 1.25x or sometimes even 1.5x because I have trouble listening to slow talkers, so it's really refreshing when I can watch a video at the default speed.

I was always under the impression Blue Robot Guy Who Looks Like Sonic From Sonic 3 And Knuckles For The Sega Genesis Which Is Known As The Sega Megadrive In Other Territories was just called "Mecha Sonic", it's not official but it seems to be the most widely accepted name, just like Silver Sonic from 2.
Yeah, the robo-sonics in general seem to have a lot of name confusion. At least Metal Sonic is near-universally called Metal Sonic. The other guys aren't near as lucky.

Well it's also because Metal Sonic tends to get more story-driven focus than Mecha Sonic. The most you see of Mecha Sonic are boss fights that don't usually last long. Metal Sonic has had at least 3-4 stories centered around him or with him in it. He also just tends to appear more. But idk, I'm not into Sonic as I used to be so I could be wrong about all that.
