  • This is a follow up to a previous video, "Suzuki TU250X vs. Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone: The Tried & True Meets the Legend," which focused around the question of when one should upgrade to a bigger bike. In this video I now share with you the decision on whether I actually ended up upgrading to a bigger bike.
    PLEASE EXCUSE THE DOWNWARD ANGLE OF THE CAMERA. I WAS TESTING OUT A NEW POSITION FOR IT, AND EVEN THOUGH I NOTICED THAT THE ANGLE WAS A BIT OFF, I JUST COULDN'T ADDRESS IT AT THE TIME. IT HAS SINCE BEEN ADDRESSED 🙏. .
    I welcome all comments and opinions, and I would like to thank you for stopping by.

    Hi everyone! Thanks for tuning in 🙏. I am trying to ride the Guzzi as much as the weather here in NYC allows us, and I plan to share with you soon my initial thoughts on the bike and the reasons I decided to keep it over my precious Suzuki TU250X. I need to put in at the very least a few hundred miles of riding on varied roads and conditions to get a better idea of what this bike is all about. Stick around. Will keep you posted. And I hope I did not make the wrong choice, for I'm still not entirely sure.

      After banishing your first love from ever again sharing a soulful ride through the countryside, you're still not sure! lol Lets face it, a Guzzi is a fling.. a TU is a relationship. One of these days when you're wizened and grey you'll miss the little guy. 😥

      😂 😂 😂 Man, you made me laugh so hard. You put it so poetically that I could help laughing. I'm trying to ride the Guzzi as much as I can but the freezing weather here is not letting up! So fed up with it. I want to take the Guzzi for a longer ride to see how it the holds. But so far, it's growing on me. Then again, you might be right--that this, indeed, is a fling.

    If your v7 shakes you to the core you need to put some good throttle injector cleaner in the gas tank. Partial clogged injectors cause rough running engine. I have a lot 2020 v7 111 and mine was very rough when I first got it. Now it's smooth like Moto Guzzy designed it to be.

      Thanks for the tip, Terry. I appreciate it. Since I posted this video, I have addressed the issue. The issue with my Guzzi was the fact that I was putting in regular gas, but upon investigating it further, I found that Guzzi recommends premium gas for it. So ever since then, I switched to premium and now my Guzzi runs rather smoothly. I will keep your suggestion in mind in case this changes. Thank you again for your helpful feedback!

      Hi HT Bikes! Good seeing you here. I will do my best to share as much as I can and as well as I can about the Guzzi. Keep in touch, and let's hope the weather clears here on the east coast because it's killing our spirits! Yesterday was a warm, breezy day--perfect for riding. Today winter returned with a vengeance. Be well.

      If it works for you and what you need it for, please do not sell it. I miss my TU every damn day. Such a beautiful bike!

    I was gonna say the Guzzi is the better bike. Has quirks for sure, but what bike that doesn't have quirks is any fun or remember able?

      Yes, you are right, BB. It's definitely been worth having. Have been having a blast this summer.

    Thanks for the video! With all the extra displacement, did you find the guzzi had a lot more power than the suzuki? How about weight between the two?

    • @ReluctantBikerNYC
      @ReluctantBikerNYC  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi CHRIS. More power? Yes, the Guzzi is substantially more powerful, and one notices that power immediately upon engaging the engine. Regarding the weight, the Suzuki is lighter by about 100 pounds. Suzuki feels featherlight; the Guzzi feels heavy always--but that is a good thing, for it keeps it very stable on the highway. Will do a proper review comparing and contrasting the two. I know, it's silly, but while some people might think that these two bikes don't have much in common, I believe they do. Stay in touch, be well, and thank you for tuning in.

    I just got a TU250 and stumbled upon your channel. Thanks for the honest reviews!
    On a side note, have you thought about tilting the helmet cam up a little more to show more of the road?

      @ReluctantBikerNYC  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Yasar. I appreciate your feedback so much, and I'm very sorry I didn't point out in my video's description that on these particular days I was testing out a new position for the camera, and even though I noticed that the angle was not quite right, I couldn't do anything to correct it at the time. The correction can be see in the subsequent video. But, man, thank you for pointing it out, and welcome to my channel. I hope you enjoy your TU250. They are such, such joy to ride. It's sad that the Suzuki decided to discontinue them for the 2021.
