Stephanie Cook says a short stay at a Winnipeg hotel had lasting damages and now she’s warning others so they don’t experience the same situation. Morgan Modjeski reports.
This is a “Winnipeg woman” so why is she staying in a Winnipeg hotel if she lives there. Just looking at the place is enough to turn you off. I wouldn’t have stayed more than 2 minutes in those conditions.
Hi there, She tried to leave shortly after arriving, but ownership would not refund her money, and have still not refunded her money after she’s been able to check out with family support.
In this case I do think she was from out of town but alot of the people staying in those kinds of hotels do so on a permanent basis. They use the rooms like apartments.
The owner of the hotel is clearly not skilled to run a hotel, and does not have the work ethic required to offer clean accommodation. U take one room a month, and completely rework the room from flooring, walls, lighting, and fixtures. Within a year a property of that size could be fully flipped & transformed into habitable lodging. This New West Hotel isn't it.
Hi there, Important to note that after seeing the room, she asked for a refund and was refused. Her money still has not been returned despite the fact she’s checked out and lodged a complaint with management.
This is why enforced building regulation is required. Otherwise the system encourages slumlords from all walks of life to setup shop while pretending to be ethical.
The health board should inspect the place and take their business license
Close this hotel
Welcome to winnipeg!
This is why i use chain hotels. Atleast they have a certain level of cleanliness.
Hey buddy, you wanted to buy a building that's over 100 years old. You get what you paid for. The mice and insects moved in long before you bought it.
The Owner is the Mother Bug!
Ixxatbir is a slumlord all his properties look like that
It’s amazing to me that slum hotels are allowed to operate in this godforsaken city
You could walk into the Sutherland and buy coke.. it's too common for main street hotels to get away with crime
Hadji Sethii is to blame. Anything to make a buck.
Let’s not pretend like things will change
There's a four letter world society holds on to..it's called " Hope "

If they clean the place the amount of bugs will lowered but never eliminated
Thank god they shut down the Sutherland... This greasy urban Rez needs to be shut down next.
I was inside that building a few months ago, it is not fit for proper living.

Exactly what an idiot ...
@@bangingbeatz6484 there's an affordable housing problem in the city and many people are forced to live in conditions that are unsuitable.
All of that part of Main Street should be torn down
That’s the worst I’ve seen in Canada 🇨🇦. In Philippines 🇵🇭 that a budget hotel 😅☕️
Just like stable and the guy wants to repair?? Demolition is the only solution. Use fresh dog pop. Thanks man.
You chose to stay there

the story is about her chosing TO NOT STAY THERE. your comment shows an incredible lack of sense.
