- Police say they are investigating after a video was released showing an Indigenous woman being restrained with zip ties in Winnipeg’s Marlborough Hotel. The hotel said the woman was intoxicated, armed and threatening people, but Indigenous leaders say the interaction was inhumane and disgraceful.
They should investigate all the hotels that have Basements
Doesn’t the hotel have cameras? To see if she was even trying to hurt people where is the video? There is none sounds suspicious to me, these man are obviously guilty.

Bro I’ve seen the video over and over, those 4 East Indian guys were pretty damn aggressive towards the guy with the camera. Am I the only one seeing this? They all yelled at the guy to gtfo and the 18 year old pleaded with the camera guy to not leave her. Once that guy agreed to leave and he had one foot out the door one of those East Indians was talking 💩 to him as he was heading out the door!!! Watch the damn video again, there’s even a split second clip of one of those guys zipping up his fly as he looks around and notices he’s being filmed.
But you guys wanna run with the narrative that this woman was going around threatening people with a knife because you’re too lazy to do your research and it’s much easier just dismissing everything and calling her a drunk because that’s what ALL of us do right? All we do is drink and huff gas and bang on our drum right? meanwhile she said herself she was sleeping in the restaurant before this all took place. You know there was a 2 hour and 40 minute gap in between the first phone call made to the WPS to the 2nd phone call made at 1:10pm?
that's ok, it's being investigated, the woman is embarrassed and avoiding interviews, and the protesters are being investigated for trashing the place. Updates will be provided as it continues. There is no reason to panic or insinuate anything, that's rather irresponsible.@@Anfernee.Clarke
She’s got a record of doing such things she was charged with stabbing another person in 2023. The guy recording the whole thing should have put his phone away and helped her escorted her out the building until the police arrived. The owners or workers of the hotel called the police to come get her they should make that very clear that they called the police and if they had other intentions I don’t think they would be calling the police lol. At this point everyone’s just making up their own story and adding to it lol. Why doesn’t the girl make a video clearing certain things up??? Cause right now everyone’s making their own story making assumptions everyone ready to hang people with no real proof of anything??? People calling down a race yet we get so offensive when it happens to us lol but look what’s happening here calling down another race.

They saw their opportunity and took it, look at what they found. I’m not gonna back down and agree that I’m “insinuating” anything, because this is more than just a coincidence. Just like everyone else I’m sick of aboriginals getting the stereotype that were all drunks, the woman wasn’t even charged with drunk and disorderly which is a step below public intoxication and every one wants to run with the “fact” that she was intoxicated. A young woman for medical reasons alone in a hotel far from her home and family is vulnerable and at risk for perverts, sex offenders and traffickers. Im sure they knew it too. Heck she'd be crazy not to carry some sort of equalizer with her. Most likely the perverts ziplocked her. I applaud her for being loud and verbal! She was smart to draw attention to the dangerous situation the men surrounding her put her in. Shes alive and home because of it ✊🏽
She was charged in Sept 2023 for stabbing a man on a northren reserve.
Who knows if she was even carrying anything. She was asleep in the restaurant area. If she was threatened there, maybe she just picked up a utensil.

Business owners in Winnipeg are in fear for their lives. This has been going on for years. Gangs of Indigenous youth roam the neighbourhoods targeting local small businesses. I have been robbed and threatened in my business. A restaurant owner was murdered outside his business just after this story broke. As for the hotel: its closed now and Pizzagate rumours are being spread about it by the very cream of Indigenous leaders. Had this woman not been restrained she may have stabbed someone, like she has done in the past. Or the cops would have arrived to see her with the knife, which they later recovered from the scene, and things would have turned out differently. She is lucky to be alive and should actually thank the hotel staff for restraining her.

she grabbed a knife to defend herself and escape, she was only 18, and there for a medical appointment. There are many horror stories from that hotel including one of my own, that place is dangerous, and there are many first nations missing posters where they were last seen at that hotel

I am so sorry to hear that you had to deal with these guys as well in this hotel. I am sure a lot of people have tried to tell the cops that they were in similar situations but of course these East Indians are known to blame other people for their actions. The truth will come out when more people step forward

And if this was true, they wouldn't have gone after the witness/camera guy to shut off his camera. They didn't want any witnesses, which speaks volumes!
My guess is that this Marlborough hotel will be really happy that FN will no longer stay at the hotel.
Had the hotel refused natives accommodation there would have been the inevitable human rights complaints.
