    They aren't ahead, they just don't count Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert. It's a whole team effort. It's a great mixture of vets, prime, and young talent. Nobody wants to admit it. They blind. Tim Connelly has done a great job and what's funny is that after Gobert and Conley leave/retire, they are still built to compete. People don't understand how to build properly but he's done an amazing job. Give credit where it's due.

      The argument could be made they're better without Gobert. But yes, they just have a few holes to plug, not a rebuild.

    • @jschang29
      @jschang29 Před měsícem +3

      @@TheGreatness-gg1jx it's all on which type of offense they are going against. I believe their biggest weakness before Gobert was inside the paint and he's definitely changed that. When you go against Memphis and players like ja, gobert is 100x better than Kat or Naz. It's all dependent on who they are going against. In the match up vs Dallas, I think they might be better without Gobert and give more minutes to Naz. If they go against Boston, Gobert would be better. They are very versatile on what kind of defensive look they can give because they have 3 bigs that do different things.

      Preach. I never understood the narrative that the Wolves are a wholey young team.

    VG is asking the question as if they’ve NEVER made the playoffs before. It took them two years to get past the 2nd round. They’re on schedule

    Playoff inexperience??? Wolves made the playoffs the previous 2 seasons how is that inexperienced??? And that’s not counting the experience of KAT Conley gobert and slow mo this team isn’t OKC who had no experience

    I don't get this. Outside of the Celtics & Kyrie, none of these teams have been to the FInals. The Wolves have just as much post season experience as the other 3 teams. Rudy and Conley have been post season main stays. And the Wolves in general are in their 3rd straight post season.

    Is this the same reporter that asked about the "adjustment of putting Kat on Jokic"? Like it wasn't the match up the whole series.

      @@WaveRider1989 This is because the sports media paradigm is to hype stars and make predictions. With that type of model built in, you will frequently be wrong. They can never really say they are wrong as often as they truly are. People would stop listening to them. So, they just revise the narrative as if they were right all along. This is not the true nature of sports. Sports commentary has become a near toxic overlay. Just watch the games and enjoy. Ignore the clowns.

    Jokic ain't the best player in the world, and this series demonstrated exactly why. Is he MVP, yeah. There isn't a clear Best Player In The World right now.
    Minnesota wins through it's Defense, a well constructed roster and AE's overall team leadership. AE has reshaped this franchise in his image. 6-24 shows that this TEAM is so solid. A lot of that solidity comes from AE. As much as he's a son of MJ he is the ANTI-MJ when it comes to his relationship with his teammates. Edwards confidence increases his teammates confidence. He continually PRAISES his teammates, often more than Maybe one of you talking heads will make this observation.
