You should try to CLOSE THE ROSE! You are leaving the stem open to the air. Try to close it all inside epoxy, not exposing ANY part of the rose to the air. Also, if there is a way to speed up the hardening process, try that too. I also heard of people closing the end of a flower stem with a hot pan or hot iron to close it so it looks fresh for a longer period of time. Maybe that helps with the discoloring

O que acontece é que durante o processo de cura da resina ocorre uma reação química e ela aquece, com a alta temperatura a água presente dentro das rosas aquece e elas "cozinham". Não é o caso de apodrecer, pois, se a flor apodrecesse, tanto a seca quanto a fresca teriam o mesmo resultado.

What happens is that during the curing process of the resin a chemical reaction takes place and it heats up, with the high temperature the water present inside the roses heats up and they "cook". It is not the case of rotting, because if the flower were to rot, both the dry and the fresh would have the same result.
I am pretty certain it does eventually rot unless dried, unless she has some trick to avoid that, I’ve seen it on other videos. A dry rose will not rot like a fresh one because rot aka decay is caused by fungus, fungus is what breaks down all living things to decompose, and it requires moist environment. So far I have not found a good alternative to drying to keep the flower from rotting eventually but I really want to find a way to preserve the look of the fresh rose in resin, permanently. I hope the owner of this video responds to my other comment asking how long this stayed beautiful for, if it takes a long time to start rotting maybe I will try this.

How long does it last like that before it decomposes/rots? I wanted to try it this way originally but I saw videos that after some months it turns brows and yucky, do you have a method for preventing that besides drying?

At least your rose didn't damage the resin form. When I originally tried using a fresh rose for this, the oxygen from the rose's fluids boiling when the epoxy hardens just cracked the form, so it could come out of the center

how toxic and danger is epoxy resin ???
I tried the upside down method for my rose in resin, but there was so much bubbles that was trapped where the petals were so my final product was really ugly. Do you know why that happened? Yours doesn't even look like it has bubbles.
With the flower upside down there was air trapped in between all of the flower petals and could not come out. I would recommend first coating all of the flower petals in resin before filling the container
Wait the bubbles be gone after 25 minutes b4 you apply.
