- In this video we compare the MSI Claw and the Steam Deck OLED. But there's a catch, the Steam Deck OLED will be compared at its Maximum 15 watt TDP and the MSI Claw will only be tested at a 35 watt TDP. All of this in 720P with low in game graphics settings through 10 games. This video is sponsored by tomtoc. Just got my steam deck oled and it’s my favorite device! Having more fun with it than my gaming laptop, ps5 and Xbox series x!
Nice congrats!
The question is: what does ms claw has to offer for 699? Answer is simple: nothing
From what I’ve seen other reviewers say the $699 model with Intel core ultra 5 outperforms the higher priced Intel core ultra 7 model. Which is crazy. I haven’t seen that happen yet which is why I think the ultra 7 model definitely has “more in the tank” so to speak. I hope at least!
@@StewdioGamer maybe but…there are so many other options and looking at them, the ms claw is not even considered in my opinion
I completely get it. Thanks for watching the video and the comments 🙏
@@StewdioGamer no worries bro. Subscribed 💪🏾
Steam deck i great but not powerful enough so imo i prefer any of the other windows handhelds exept the msi claw Ofcourse 😅
Thank you so much for featuring us😎
What is that bag at the end of your ad? I need a new travel bag and I like the compartments in that.
It’s the PGYTECH OneMo backpack. It’s the first version. They have a 2nd version now that has two size options I think.
@@StewdioGamer thanks
Now the Claw VS. The Switch. The Switch just smacked the Claw like a 🤬🤬🤬 Omg! 😮
😂😂😂
Tbh you don't need the more power on a handheld. Oled screen with steam os is untouchable at the moment. Yes it won't beat fps and power output but it will with ease of use and battery life. That being said its an exciting time to be handheld gamers so many options.
Agree with you 👍
I love my OLED Steam Deck but if they can work out the kinks in the MSI Claw I'll definitely be coping
I’m hoping they can deliver on some much needed updates. Fixing the performance is a must.
@StewdioGamer I agree man. Hopefully they can achieve that.
I feel like the claw may show out later on after updates
I hope so. I’d really love to see some critical updates in the future.
I went with the steam deck mainly because games on steam would be opimized for a device made for steam...
So in my experience, and my opinion my own, I noticed intel doesn’t work well when it comes to gaming. And have better if not best experiences with AMD. Idk why that’s how it feels. I have an intel gaming laptop and no way nearly performs well against my AMD laptop.
I hear that a lot. I have not tried any of the arc graphics yet this was my first…. I know they’ve made improvements in their graphics cards for desktop so hopefully they’ll figure out something here.
To be honest performs isn't the factor for a handheld. I love the stream OS and all the support valve throw behind the system. Also it has a great dockstation.
Also love the TouchPad.
So for me there is no other option beside steamdeck. I rather wait until they release a new version than buying copy cats.
Performance is definitely a factor. There are games that perform better and at higher framerates on the Ally, Lenovo, etc. Options are always nice because at the end of the day, we're actually playing the games.
Steamdeck is not even an option to me. Not gonna settle for any limitations. 1. ROG Ally, 2. Legion Go 3. Any windows handheld. Ayaneo, Onexplayer, Gdp win.
I do disagree that performance isn’t a factor. It’s a heavy factor in my opinion but I also don’t think they all need to have super high FPS to make it great. It’s a combination of everything but if the price to performance is less than the competition that’s a big concern for anyone.
I wasn't clear in what I said :)
Of course I love performance h too but when having a handheld is the balance between performance, battery life and optimization. Go nuts on performance and it will be a shitty handheld. Just look at switch. It's hardware is damn old but thanks to very optimized software and OS it pushes easy above is weight.
Steamdeck with the great OS and balance to me is the best option. But sure if you want pure performance and just use dock mode then there are many alternatives. Even mini pcs. I like Steamdeck thanks to the eco system, saving, shader optimization and all of that. Plus it's not dependent on windows.
@curtis9755 performance isn't has important as ease of use, especially when it's not that much of a difference...
Legion Go ftw.
Haha I love my legion go. In the process of updating my storage to 2TB today actually!
I returned mine, same with the ally, the steam deck just makes gaming on the go so much easier, these windows devices can't compete no matter anyone's delusions
The steam deck is such a low powered handheld , it’s horrible I returned mine so fast
I love my steam deck and don’t feel it’s underpowered.
ye museum tech ,, slow .... 😢😢
Steam deck fanbois: Our SD is better than Boeing 737.
I mean, the claw is hot garbage, the steam deck is not lol, it's quite amazing what the SD can do, you don't need to be a fanboy, the steam deck is just the king for handheld gaming, fuck windows.
700$ for garbage... about sums it up
Way overpriced unfortunately not looking too good for them at the moment. The newest update made things worse 🫣
People dont waste your money wait for XBOX handheld its on the way 🎉
I honestly would love one. I hope they do enter the handheld space 🙌
ORrrrr Can the MSI Claw Outperform the Steam Deck OLED? 😪
😩 yeah….
new driver for claw kick the slow steamdeck in ass 😂😂😂😂
Lmao msi claw is just a worse ally, in price and performance, 700 bucks for that? No thank you, why 16 cores in a gaming hand held. That chip is made for high end productivities laptop and yet they are dumb enough to put it in a worse and much more expensive ally. Completely nonsense
Yeah… I actually like a lot of things about the MSI Claw and with an AMD processor this could have been a valid contender.
15W VS 30W and the claw can barely beat the OLED so either Intel needs to step it up on updates or make a better chip
@@HoodHussler intel chip moment :). Its so funny to watch how latest intel chip with twice as much power BARELY outperforms amd chip based on 5 year old cpu architecture and gpu based on 4 year old architecture
Rog ally top dog u on crack lol
And even newly released AAA games didn't use Z1x cpu as full but claw CPU is more powerful than Z1x right?
This is just my personal preference, but this is the most ugly windows handheld I’ve seen from one of the bigger companies, oh and it sucks.
Get a Deck, Switch, Go or anything else
Awe man I don’t think it’s ugly but yeah performance so far sucks.
I hit 25w on battery on my rog
