What I love about this scene is the look on K's face as J is talking to the alien is it's clear he's understanding what they're saying and doesn't understand why he understands them
That’s actually a really freaky concept. You hear this extremely foreign, strange language that you should have no way of knowing or understanding, yet you are able to understand every single word down to the syllable and have no idea why.
I never thought of it that way, but that makes perfect sense

I love how it’s implied that K is subconsciously more comfortable in the presence of extraterrestrial species rather than with other humans.

Deneuralyzier didn't erase the memory completely, some parts remain but he can't remember why, for example, Kevin had no idea why he staring at the stars in the middle of the night

Obviously impossible considering nobody can do Jim Carrey better than Jim Carrey. So Tommy just kinda made a fool of himself and ruined otherwise great potential to be a great two face.
He's playing the straight man. In the original Men in Black, he was worried that he wasn't funny, but the producers told him to trust them. Jones even brought his own element into the film because he didn't like the script that much, so he ad-libbed a lot, and it worked well with Smith because, as a result, it made him look like a rookie trying to keep up (which is exactly what J is)!

When I was a kid, everyone left cookies for our postal carrier at Christmas time. Now, I give them to the carrier personally.
My brother is confined to a wheelchair, and my mother had cancer. Their mailman got out of his vehicle, and brought the mail to them. They thought the world of him, and I gain a respect for him and mail carriers. Thanks from a stranger.
I believe that too. We have a postal carrier in my town that you can walk past and he never looks at you.

When J joined MIB in the movies, he listed off a number of diminutive nicknames he refused to go by. K immediately noticed he left out "Slick" and stapled it to J with no hesitation.

not in a post office, but in a general sorting center. Speed cameras read mail very fast, to decifer departments numbers, to make the most important sorting.

There might be somethng similar in bigger cities like NY, but no way it throws mail across the room. In the small one I worked for mail was sorted into a route by a machine, but it was given to a carrier who had to put it at the right address along the route
