took me 7th time watching this to realize the worm was knocked out due to the drugs i thought he actually stopped because j gave him a final warning

Jay said “will someone check the expiration date on the unipod worm tranquillisers” so I think he meant that the drugs took wayyyy too long to work
I didn't get that at first either. When I watched this movie for the first time, I thought the same. That Jeff actually listened to Jay and stopped. Upon a couple rewatches, it clicked that he actually fell asleep from the tranquillizers finally taking effect.
Actually, J didn't inject the second dose needed to knock out Jeff, as Jeff yeeted him off before the dose could be administered.
Jeff only had _one_ dose, and from how J was talking to him earlier, Jeff is Sapient, meaning he can be reasoned with...
That also means when J warned him that he was going to go Lethal, Jeff stopped because he didn't want to Die.

1:32 I keep finding this part hilarious... Mostly because judging from their "Meh" reactions, this isn't the first time it's happened, and they're used to this by now... And it feels like MiB just gave up on Neuralizing them.
Keep in mind that J has been dealing with Jeff enough times to know how to _not_ antagonize him, and he outright tells T to "do it by the book", which usually means "No Good Cop, Bad Cop" Schenannigans... Only for T to start the Good Cop, Bad Cop stuff...
The joke is that new Yorkers aren't phased by anything lol. It's a NYC thing

It's New York. The joke is that New Yorkers are virtually unphased by almost anything unless they're actively in the way of danger. It's also why the people in the subway car weren't listening to J, you know how many schizos and crazy people come and go on the subways of actual New York to make all kinds racket? Waaaaaaaay too many.

When I first watch this scene, I assumed Jeff is just another Illegal Alien not allowed in the Subway, but after so many rewatches, I realized that Jeff is actually Legalized and is allowed in certain Subway areas. Plus, J seems to be a great friend with Jeff, hence why he hesitated to shoot him before the dosage kicks in.

3:26 tbh, J had every right to call out the people on the subway for not listening to him, believing he's just a crazy doomsayer when in fact he's trying to warn them they're all in immediate danger from we just saw. Just listen to the tone of his voice before and after Jeff breaks into the train (1:53-2:08). He went from being genuinely concerned and wanting to save them to unsympathetically satirizing the situation the moment the first person screamed
