1 cup dill leaves

11⁄2 cups heavy cream
3 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese

I literally just made this recipe yesterday, what a coincidence! Seriously, it's always a gamble with cookbooks but I have made so many recipes out of Cook This Book and they have all been delicious and super practical and feasible for a college student who's learning to cook lol. Definitely money well spent!
I made an incredible tomato soup last year when my social worker gave me a bag of heirloom tomatoes from her garden. Seriously, best tomato soup I've ever eaten!

Kept finding the whispy mustache distracting LOL. When it becomes a handle bar mustache will look good - its at the been on vacation for two week stage. Will try this - In fact a meeting got cancelled and might go grab the stuff from the store. Will need to check out the recipe in the cookbook. have always loved the canned tomato soup. with the cheese might try popping it under the broiler like french onion. Think I could get away with slices of cheese if I did that?
I really enjoy the flavor of tomato soup, but I think the main problem with it is that if you want a soup to count as a *food* (as opposed to a broth or a dip) it needs to have THINGS in it. Not ingredients, but physical, chunky, textural THINGS, whatever variety they might be. Psychologically, you just need to chew on something to believe that you're having food.

Only things I'd add: a little garlic, and a cup of chicken stock instead of water.
With the amount of salt Molly uses, I don’t think you’d don’t really need stock, but I fully agree with garlic.

This is probably the most basic tomato soup, so the quality of your tomatoes should be excellent. I would personally add some stock, not just for flavor, but for the nutrients as well. Maybe some meatballs and a small veggie to have something to chew on would make it closer to a small meal instead of an entrée.

It may work for you but it doesn't work for me. While I am an adult I enjoy Campbell's tomato soup out of the can with one can of milk like the way my mother made it when I was a child. I grew up with this flavor, I still enjoy this flavor, and that's the way I still prepare it. So I say if you are not preparing your tomato soup like the way your mother made it, you might be doing something wrong.
I'd love to watch more of these videos with my young kids but the cursing makes it so I don't want to be put into that awkward spot explaining to a 5 year old what not wanting to f**k with something means. Bummer.
