In this ep, Molly is joined by her husband Ben (not a cook himself), to share with you the first recipe Ben has ever developed! Ben is the world's biggest buffalo chicken fan and this recipe is his ode to just that. It's technically a salad, but it's also definitely topped with a crispy crunchy sesame-crusted chicken cutlet that's swimming in Frank's Red Hot. Ingredients :
PRODUCE
2 celery stalks
2 Persian cucumbers
2 medium carrots
1 garlic clove
4 large Little Gem lettuces or 3 hearts of romaine (about 1½ pounds)
PANTRY
1 tablespoon sugar
kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper
⅔ cup, plus 2 tablespoons unseasoned
rice vinegar
¼ cup tahini
¾ cup flour
1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
⅔ cup sesame seeds
vegetable oil, for frying
3/4 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce
DAIRY
½ cup sour cream
2 large eggs
1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
MEAT
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1½ pounds)

I'm sure it's just that he's uncomfortable on camera - I remember early BA videos where he'd request to have his face blurred! - but man, Ben's bringin down the vibes in this video 😬 Vacillating between acting (jokingly, I'm sure) possessive over the recipe and then totally above it/in a rush to his meeting, making mistakes along the way and yet acting like Molly is the one making missteps...I'm sure it's just that their dynamic doesn't translate well to this format, but this was not a particularly enjoyable watch. All that said, LOVE Molly's recipes and very glad to see her back on CZcams!!
Here is the written recipe if anybody needs it
Chicken:
3/4 cup flour
1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
2/3 cup sesame seeds
vegetable oil, for frying
3/4 cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce
2 large eggs
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1½ pounds)
Dressing:
1/2 Cup blue cheese
1 garlic clove
1/4 cup tahini
½ cup sour cream
2 tablespoons unseasoned
rice vinegar
Pickled Vegetables:
1 tablespoon sugar
kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper
2/3 cup unseasoned
rice vinegar
2 celery stalks
2 Persian cucumbers
2 medium carrots
Assembly:
4 large Little Gem lettuces or 3 hearts of romaine (about 1/2
pounds)
Finely dice celery, slice cucumbers, julienne carrots and then add them with vinegar, sugar and salt to a bowl
Add tahini, sour cream, garlic, and blue cheese to bowl.
Butterfly chicken, and cut in half.
Dredge in flour, then egg and hot sauce mixture, and finally sesame and panko
Add oil to cast iron skillet. Fry at 350
Dredge cooked chicken, once cooled, with more buffalo sauce.
Assemble
I could be wrong, but did he have a meeting after this?
I love watching real time cooking, so big fan of this video! Also when you realized that the sour cream was spoiled somehow made me like it even more, that happens in real life and love that you left that bit in the video and then made a quick substitute.
Is this gonna be about cooking or about marriage dynamics bc let me tell you, the latter is not it

It's only the second episode and I get that they're trying a fun and new real time cooking approach but I don't know that it fully works. It can be chaotic yet somewhat planned out ahead of time. Spoiled sour cream? A husband that didn't want to be in the video and that kept mentioning that he had somewhere more important to be? Was that intentional? I Don't know, It was off-putting. I love the kitchen, Molly, her style and overall chill vibes. More of that, plus Declan. Please bring back Declan.

I think they have great banter, and look like they're having fun. TBH I much prefer to see how they interact vs fake American PR style. Nearly every Aussie relationship is like theirs.
I am with you Amanda. He comes across as arrogant and not really having the time for this. Which, hopefully in the future means more of Molly and less…or preferably none..:of him. Molly doesn’t need anyone she can handle it all on her own she Carrie’s herself so well. And…it sounds like people in Australia need to be a little nicer to their spouses.

Love the videos! I am very impressed with the laid-back, loose, real-time feel of being in a kitchen in one's own home. Also, it would be remiss of me to not mention the beauty 'kitch' and the beauty foods being created. Super mouth-watering and fun to watch. Congrats on doing a great job, Molly Baz and co. !

Wow the husband disses her less than a minute after the intro, claims the entire recipe creation and then doesn’t want to make it because he no longer remembers his own recipe?? First off- Molly has the most gorgeous house. Truly an incredible and unique design. Now secondly, although I really like the real time feel of the video, the shaky cam and expired food makes me feel like there isn’t very much planning happening in advance? I would also really like to hear more about cooking methods, tips, general food information as Molly is deeply knowledgeable and experienced in the kitchen. Hopefully this can be a bit more relaxed and informative in the future. I still make Molly’s gochujang chicken from BA bi-weekly to this day. Rooting for you Molly!

Love molly- I appreciate trying a new format and having upbeat music and people in the shots but this was very hectic and too much for me. I don’t want to feel stress from the person cooking (the whole point is a more relaxing video IMO) so this wasn’t for me. There was so much going on I didn’t really understand the recipe and steps itself. I will keep watching, though. to see if the format changes slightly!
Yes I feel the same! I got kinda dizzy cos the camera was moving so much but I love molly 😢but it’s hard to watch if you’ve got any kinda weird brain problems like me lol 😅
