LUMBER LIST
Headboard
⢠(4) 2â x 6â x 8â (Douglas fir lumber) ripped to 4â for the left and right legs.
⢠(4) 2â x 6â x 8â (Douglas fir lumber) ripped to 5â for the top, bottom and side frames.
⢠(1) 4â x 8â x žâ (Sanded plywood) Sanded Plywood has only one finished side, make sure to use the nice side towards the front.
⢠(2) 1â x 4â x 8â (White furring strip) this is for the design within the headboard.
Side Rails
⢠(4) 2â x 4â x 8â (Douglas fir lumber) ripped to 2 ½â
⢠(4) 2â x 6â x 8â (Douglas fir lumber) ripped to 4 ½â
⢠(1) 4â x 8â x žâ (Hardwood plywood). Hardwood plywood is sturdier.
Footboard
You should be able to use some of the scrap plywood from the side rails for the base, the lip around the opening of the footboard and the right and left side walls of the footboard.
⢠(3) 4â x 8â x žâ (Hardwood plywood) these will be used for the front wall, left and right side panels, back strip and back cover of the footboard.
⢠(2) 2â x 6â x 8â (Douglas fir lumber) ripped to 4â for the left and right legs.
⢠(1) 5mm 4â x 8â sheet of plywood. This will be used for all of the decorative trim on the footboard.
⢠(1) 2â x 10â x 8â (Douglas fir lumber). This will be used for both the mantle top and side mantle pieces.
The mantle top is 61 ½â x 7 žâ x 1â and the mantle side pieces are 13 ½â x 4â x 1â. I planed the 2â x 10â x 8â (Douglas fir lumber) down to 1â using a planer.
Total Lumber List
(1) Sanded plywood (4â x 8â x žâ)
(4) Harwood plywood (4â x 8â x žâ)
(1) 5mm plywood sheet (4â x 8â)

That is a awesome bed!! Great job!! Where did you get the TV lift?
Thanks! This is the link on where I got the TV lift.
(The Whisper Ride 1000 TV Lift ) www.amazon.com/dp/B01N9JCXWA/ref=redir_mobile_desktop/142-5593532-2819102?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image
I also found another site www.woodtechnology.com/product/whisper-ride-1000/
I know this is older but the bed turned out awesome. Nicely done!
Thank you so much!
I like the step-by-step tutorial
Thank you!
Nasty bro! Great job
Great job explaining the build! I love the decor also.
Bro this is dope. This legit production! đ
Thanks bro!!!
Amazing job my friend! We are finally getting a bigger house that will have a true master bedroom thatâs big enough for more than the queen weâve been on for the last 17 years. I donât think we will want a tv that pops up but I can think of other things that I would want hidden out of sight yet readily accessible that would fit nicely in that spot. Thank you for the awesome video and how to guide.
That sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing and youâre more than welcome!
đĽđĽđĽđĽđĽđĽđĽ
Thanks bro!!!!!
SKYâS. CUSTOMIZE !!!! LOVE IT!!!
Nice work!!
Thanks!
Awesome
Thank you!
There's no way you only have ~300 subscribers.
Your videos are amazing. The measurements and diagrams are something most other builders on CZcams don't overlay in their videos. Your craftsmanship is impressive.
As someone who has worked at a company building highend one-off custom furniture and cabinetry for literal billionaires; your builds are nearly on par.
I would have done a few things differently but the end result would be essentially the same.
Love what you're doing; keep it up! I'd love to see your channel grow!
Wow, thank you so much! That really means a lot to me. I definitely second guess myself sometimes, so you have no idea how much this comment really means to me. Thank you so much!
Wow 𤊠so impressed you dreamed this up over ten years ago and you not only made it happen you did a great job showing the world how to do it. Great job Skyler
Lol, youâre right! Thanks bro!
Bro great Video. I seriously feel with the video and you breaking it down I could build this. Very instructional.
Thanks bro!
@@thatguywithahammer137 real talk man. Its cool to see the step by step.
Awesome build and even better instructional video
Thank you so much!
This is a great video, the finish is beautiful and I like the fact that your wife was helping construct the bed but it is a little bit much for me thanks for sharing
Thanks Tommy I really appreciate the comment!
Awesome step by step process. I watched shanty chic as well but you manage to explain it better. Keep it up my guy.
Thank you so much!
@@thatguywithahammer137 if you donât mind me asking, what kind of wood did you use and how much wood do I need to purchase to complete this project? Let me know. Thanks
Hey Archie, thanks for the question. Just for you, I put together a lumber list and added it to the description box. Hope this helps! If there are any more questions that you may have, don't hesitate to ask.
@@thatguywithahammer137 thank you so much, youâre awesome CZcamsr. Iâll make sure to support your channel. I Wish you all the best brother.
Thank you so much that really means a lot!
I've been watching a lot of videos on hideaway TV cabinets/lifts and this is one of (if not THE) best! TY for making it! I'm hoping to make a foot of the bed cabinet with an integrated dog ramp (morkies) on the bed side and a place for a soundbar.
Thanks so much, that really means a lot! That sounds awesome, I would definitely love to see it when you finish it.
Sick video, very well explained.. I feel like anyone could make this based off of this video
Thanks, I really appreciate it! Thatâs exactly what I was trying to shoot for when making this video.
Nice good job
Thank you so much đ
Awesome work! đđž
Thank you!đđž
This is a fantastically well made video! Great animations and easy to follow along. Great workmanship and result too. Glad I found this channel, keep up the awesome work man đ
Thank you so much!
Bro that's an awesome bed. I love it. My only issue is I'm so tall my legs are always stuck into footboard. I'd have to make it a little longer to keep my legs off the TV stand.
Thanks bro I really appreciate the kind words! And LOL!⌠yeah you wouldnât want to accidentally kick your TV. I hope making it accommodate you wonât be too difficult.
Nice work man!
Thank you!
Nice work
Thank you!
Super dope!! Awesome work!đĽđĽđĽ What tool did you use to make the pocket holes?
Thanks!!! For the pocket holes I used the Kreg Jig K5.

Hey I love this TV lift. Would you be able to customize one for me. Are you in NY?
Thank you so much, unfortunately Iâm not located in NY.
What software are you using to show the steps of the build??
