In 2014, ROBLOX decided to do a twitch show which talked about something (I don't know about what they were talking about). During the inccident, multiple ROBLOX staff swore about their children and even swearing to their other colleagues, they technically forgot to mute their mic which is honestly embarrsing. @@maple_vanilla what would be better is people that are 18+ get a switch to turn on swearing, but it would still be a bad idea. Why would people swear anyway, it’s basically asking for toxicity. Yes, most 18+ year olds are mature which is why it wouldn’t be a bad update, but it also wouldn’t be a good update, because since they are mature swearing would be a minimum, only that small percentage of people who swear lots of times. Personally wouldn’t recommend an update like that to a platform like roblox.
@@Pyrodance4 the problem with switches is that you will be mocked for not having swearing on, not only that but toxicity would exponentially rise due to having access to swearing and most people on roblox are below the age of 15. Unless there is an age restriction (18+) it will be a terrible update, not only that, but it will increase people who swear due to the fact that many people think of swearing as something only older people would do, therefore increasing the chances. Personally, I think swearing is a bad thing. I am a Christian so I’m not allowed to swear and I never would swear. Another thing, it would increase the non-family friendly CZcamsrs for roblox which we don’t want. Swearing in videos is enough. It would be a terrible update for most people since most of the world is made up of Christians so it would decrease the players on the game. Roblox is already toxic as it is, we don’t want to introduce unwanted toxicity that can be easily avoided. Also, there are lots of offensive words that players will be able to use. So it would be a terrible update.
