Also something big that lead to psx’s fall was the massive inflation of gems and huges. I grinded so hard for gems before it all happened, and when i came back after a break of a week, they were all worth nothing. Since then, ive just been checking out updates, but i dont really enjoy the game anymore.

i have always been a f2p player because for many reasons (listed below) and this just makes me EXETERMLY upset... i have truly lost hope in preston and pet sim x/team/community...
1- i don't live anywhere in america or near america.
2- i don't spend my money on a game when i could just spend it on more important things.
3- i don't want to spend money on a game.
It's crazy how this game went from crashing Roblox to slowly dying, no wonder Roblox wasn't crashing lately despite it being summer holidays 🤔

Pet simulator has always looked like it would get cancelled the fact that the developers did all that and still manged to have such a large player base is shocking as a long term player i expected this to happen
One game from Preston I actually enjoy is Giant Survival, it was like my whole childhood. I miss playing it with my brothers, they probably have forgotten about the game. Although it has 600 players, still not much people know about that game, it may seem like a little amount, but that’s actually a lot.

I think Psx had great great potential with the explosion of players, and it’s population among the roblox platform. However he used the people to gain more robux and turned one of the greatest games into a instant cash-grab simulator. Overall I personally liked Psx before, yet it changed so much I just couldn’t play it for fun.

I Started playing in the realese of the game and it was an amazing game, i was so excited to the first update which was so cool, and also the second, but then it drastically changed and the game was so P2W, i have 200 hours in the game being f2p and didn't even finish the frickin game that you can finish in under 1 hours paying.

I really used to like pet sim x ALOT, everyday I would play and always grind with my pets with only 6b power. When I started to play more and more the updates got better until inflation was added into pet sim x where everything got either too easy or too hard. Huges are worth too much and too hard to get and it makes me sad. I think we need a new pet sim x or a different type of game.

As a player since pet simulator started its journey I am very sad to see the player count go down but I will still play to support Preston and also spend all my money on the p2w shop
You Can't expect these types of games to last in popularity all the time it's amazing how long pet simulator has lasted as usually, most simulator games would die by this time, it just gets too many updates over time that the game becomes confusing, but even though Preston made the game extremely pay-to-win, that's just the wrong side, for the first year the game was so much fun, getting home every day, hopping on and grinding the new area for the new pets, Especially when the Halloween update hit, where the mythical eggs were glitched. Everyone, including f2p players, could get ez mythicals. Then Kreek got a lot of popularity because of pet sim x since he was always doing streams of it shutting down Roblox with each update, pet simulator x also inspired a lot of games, and it's still not too late to make good games like it. Preston is probably running out of ideas, so he is trying to squeeze all the last bit of revenue out of the game if possible, which is sad. Even with the NFT's Release many of us, of course, would not be able to get it, so we are generally mad, but that gave so many CZcamsrs things to talk about and make videos on getting it, Most people by now forgotten about the NFTS, I didn't even remember about them until this video, but that was definitely not the cause of pet simulator's downfall, but if Preston kept it up like that it would, but he started dropping less pay to win updates, Don't get me wrong they were still some pay to win, but many updates after that were getting 500 - 600 k people, One update even dropped a million players, This is experience from a person who was waiting in the Original pet simulator 1 lobby, waiting for the countdown to hit 0. Who has been through the whole game from the beginning firsthand, even getting my account hacked and everything taken from my pet simulator x account for falling into a FAKE giveaway from a famous pet simulator x CZcams at that time. I grinded my way back up and still had a blast. Overall, not many games can follow up such a good game, there were doors, but it only updated 2 times every few months, Rainbow friends took a year for a chapter 2 two to come out. So for Preston and his team to make such high-quality updates while still managing big paintball and my restaurant, that's pretty cool in my opinion.
As someone who played this game for like 1 year The journey of PSX was it started with 1 single og huge cat plushie only 5000 to exist . Now it just the update barely change things and the new pets aren't that powerful from older pets and the only thing that changes each update is the exclusive egg and it's not really about update but also how hard it is for F2P players to get things done like without gamepasses u can't hatch pets quickly, u barely have any chance to get mythic, u don't have much inventory space and much more aspects
i remember quitting pet sim x when the hardcore update released because i waited months for a new update and all they added was just the same worlds and same everything but "harder"

roblox actually changed their recommendation filter so psx lost a lot of its players. However, the dark side might reveal itself soon since Preston has contacts with Roblox admins, possibly working to undo this change specifically regarding psx

I play Tower Defense Simulator, which is a great example of how simulators should be ran. While there are a few pay to win aspects, everything except for a few skins is accessible to players who play the game. Also in the TDS community, players who pay to win are shamed for that, because in all, spending that real life money is not at all worth it.

as a f2p (free to play) Pet Sim X player, I'm very unhappy that the game is not only P2W, but also built around the fact that players will be paying. Many chests that exist would take hours for a f2p player to break all alone with what they're given.
Couldn't explain it better than you. It's also a repetitive game. Just adding more and more exclusive eggs and new worlds, while back in the day when enchanting, dark matter and the plaza were a brand new game revolution

people don't really play PSX for the base game progression (exploring worlds, breaking chests etc.) like before. The majority is now just obsessed with trading, rare pets and any IRL value they can get by any means of obtaining said pets.
I agree. I used to be a good player but not anymore. Everyday people just pay 2 win for the best pet. It used to be that when you work hard you get good pets but now it’s all P2W.

I remember playing the game and grinding so much on the heaven chest saving up fantasy coins for the tech area. It would take me, my father and my sister hours to destroy the chest. And back then having a rainbow Angelus was insane. Now it's just money = win
I miss when normal Exclusives and Huges like the Huge Cat, and Huge Pumpkin Cat were the best.. Titanics arn't that fun because they are overpriced and hard to hatch.
I still play a bit of Pet Simulator X but definatly not like I used to unfortunatly. I think he can pull the game in a better direction but I doubt he would.
I started playing when tech world just came out. I got pretty far and always had the best f2p pets you could have. Since it became p2w I stopped grinding, hoping to be able to afford huges at the plaza. F2p players have no chance of keeping up with the standard inventory nowadays, so to all my f2p players, don't waste your time on competing with p2w

pet sim x was such a good game because I was one of those og people I liked collecting old pels and then trade them away for really good pets and then everything suddenly changed after all my pets disappeared from my inventory and then I quit
Back then I was a kid I found pet SIM x and WOW! The grinding is hard but while I was grinding i saw a person that has like a limited edition cat and he told he bought it. So I was like "Mom!! Do we have money I want to be good at this game." My mom said after "No we will use it on food and our needs." So I was like "oh okay." And when I downloaded twitter I saw the nft post I looked at the website and GOD it's so expensive even if I sell all my body parts it won't be worth it now here comes plushies. I saw a plushie that looks cute and can give me a pet inside the game I went to the website and saw the price and me and my parents talked about it and they said "no." So I was kind of sad that they won't give me it. Since I'm an F2P I only had legendary dark matter pets and only 1 mythical I saw everybody that we're so rich and I quit at the early stages.
Extra: I got spoiled when my mother gave me like 1,400 robux for my birthday that's like 1000 pesos in the Philippines and I was so grateful and that's when I saw gambling (I was still young there) and I gambled all my robux out what did I get? Only 5 legendary that are ofc common to P2W players (I came back at pet SIM x because I just got robux)
So kids never ever play this game.
i actually regret for buying the merch and being ptw i spent 100$ on that game and i had to work a lot for that money, i worked a year for my scholarship from school and had to get a lot of good grades for them to just release another game and being lazy to update it
my ideas on why it’s dying:
- increasingly less hype since the release
- everyone is basically just doing the same thing over and over again
- your mom’s credit card is now 6 feet under

Pet simulator X is dying and losing players because people lose interest in the game, once you completed all the worlds, there is not much you can do. Its just repetitive, and I had potential for this game. The developers need to add NEW content into pet simulator X, it might revive this game. There are other problems such as the exclusive eggs and that Preston is still breaking the terms of service of roblox by selling expensive titanics and huge pets, but Roblox ignores this instead of doing something.

Here’s an story about why pet x sim got this down:One of the hackers stole my gems I had 100M gems I putted in an bank and today I bank for all 100M gems for some pets UNTILL IT GAVE MS 62M GEMS I DECIDED NOT TOO QUIT ANS GRIND IT BACK untill the party update came it the piñata was almost finished until… IT LITERALLY SAID UPDATING PET SIM X I was so triggered I waited 7 hours for that then I quitted pet sim x and playing other games that’s how it got that down
I’m honestly surprised this video didn’t mention their other pet sim games, (pet simulator one and pet simulator 2) who were both also a cash grab but less obvious.
Fr, Pet Sim 2 literally requires you to pay just so you can trade and auto pick up coins and gems. AND DONT FORGET IT RUNS OUT UNLESS YOU BUY THE FOREVER OPTION.

The devs always try to get the player count higher every update, they tried with the free Titanic now, they added a lot of free stuff, but nothing's really working.
Read that the chance of hatching the free titanic is 1 in 1B if you don’t have any of the luck multipliers.

Yeah it’s very sad to be honest, I remember when pet sim x was my favorite game and how much I loved playing the heaven update. But then the dark matter update came out and dm machine and magic eggs pass just made it so much more paid to win. I mean when dark matter mythicals used to be a very valuable pet it sucked to wait 30m-5 days while people could spend 500 robux and instantly get one and sell it for profit.
And like with the magic eggs pass it just made everything worse and really started a division between p2w and f2p. Every single update the game got more p2w and people were happy and people were sad but the devs do not care because if they make money they’ll continue doing it. Combined with all the hackers and inflation and fake f2p mechanics it makes the game really hard for people who want to spend no money. Overall the worst part is this game is directly aimed at children with no money which is kinda funny because the only successful people in the game spend days grinding or spend thousands of dollars. This belittles the children and spawns thousands of beggars and servile people. I think we would’ve been better off without this game and it physically hurts me to be in trading plazas with these kids constantly begging me for huges and gems who don’t know the value of hard work.
It would be alive again if Preston Increases your chances of getting a powerful pet and decreasing the prices of gamepasses and exclusive pets

As a P2W player of PSX since I have spent around 25k robux in that game. I hated the Diamond Mine Update it was stupid since the P2W players would find a way to get a ton of diamonds especially when for one area you have to release a huge pet to get in. The game has found its way to keep the players in the game now since there is a great summer event with quests and a F2P Titanic. But one thing that could be changed is being able to Gift gamepasses. If players were able to gift gamepasses then lets say that you could be kind or just not use that ability but atleast the kind people could gift players gamepasses.
I actually played this 1 hour after it came out with my cousin, and I have never played it since but according to the internet it has gone downhill

Ok i know this game isnt as relevant as it used to be, but beeswarm simulator is a pretty good example of a good simulator game. Sure you can buy stuff to speed up progress but you can still get to endgame without spending a penny. To go into depth, you just start with 25 bee slots and 1 bee. Once you get 25 bees and go to the 25 bee zone, you can buy more hive slots for honey you grinded for instead of stealing your moms credot card and buying them ( you get 25 free hive slots and you can buy an additional 25). In addition, getting the best bees wont cost you anything, all you need is to grind for a bunch of honey, buy royal jellies and use them on your bees, no money spent at all unlike pet sim x where it gonna cost you 100’s if not 1000’s of dollars to get the best pets in the game. Overall, in beeswarm sim the difference in grinding between a f2p player and a p2p player isnt much, the grind is pretty much the same wether you spend money or not,
BSS shouldn't have lasted as long as it was. I played for a few days then shortly after quitting the game. Finally, about time that the game dies. Going as a solo developer wasn't a smart decision after all.

psx is having better and f2p updates recently, but the game is still losing player count. Preston is trying to redeem himself but psx probably never go back to its prime state. its cuz psx changed to bi weekly updates and him and the other devs are working on 2 new games (big paintball 2 and happy pet game)

I used to play psx, You know it was really good back then . You could grind for pets and hatch legendary pets and every one would freak out and if u hatched a mythical pet literally the whole server would freak out. But know all these huges titanics it made the game p2w like I remember getting a rainbow legendary dominus domortus I would just tell everyone I got I got! They would all freak out too . I quit when pet sim x released huge dog because I just had a feeling that preston was gonna just add huges forever . I remember seeing a huge cat for the first time it was my first time that I saw a huge pet me and all my friends would go insane like “OMG YOO LOOK A HIGE PET YOOOO HOw YOU GRT THAT THING WTH YOOO” . The most thing I miss is pog pets they looked so cool to me and I was f2p .Sp when I heard the news that preston was mocking us (f2p) I hated him . Just imagine playing a game u really like but the creator mocks u for not spending money. Pet sim x had great potential but Preston realized that he could just make us pay it went from a good game to a bad game. Man….I loved pet sim x :(

i used to play pet simulator x i have 10 billion gems but there was a glitch that someone was selling there pet for 3 million gems but i loose 3 billion gems from that day i started hating that game and i am literally sad that i loose all of my gems
