Should you adjust the carbuetor (throttle) needle to the last groove? I did that to my 70cc samurai china junk-cross and it went from 20 up to 45-50mph. I didn't feel need to upgrade the carb because the power felt plenty enough for the small frame size. Driver was over 200lbs so that might also tell something about chinese powerhouse. This 125cc should basicly have twice the power as factory setup so I wonder if it goes atleast 65mph. I have heard local boys have got these run 75mph but I don't know what setup. And man these 125cc are still light bikes so the power-weight ratio should be good. I would personally focus on tuning the factory carb right and get some real offroad torque from upgraded sprockets. You just don't drive those forest trails 75mph!!

Always just change out pilot jet engine idels off the pilot jet only.
until you get it to idle good then you can mess with the main jet, and needle IMO.
      Pilot jet = 0-1/4 throttle
Needle =1/4- maybe little over half throttle
Main jet = little over half throttle - wide open throttle

30mm may be too big but you could make it work.

      I had the same problem.
The throttle cable was not long enough so I had to remove a few milimeters of the hull.
Take a look inside the carb when the throttle cable is installed.
If the carb is not closed even when not turning the throttle, your cable or rather the hull is too long which results in a short throttle cable.
It is kind of a pain to do but works.
The hull consists of a layer of plastic then some steel 'coil' I guess you could call it that and then some more plastic.
