What you do is take off the claws, position them, and then put the pin back in. You may only have to do this to one of the claws possibly two. Especially if the openings are small such as a PT Cruiser.

You will not be able to put in the washers while you're trying to position it however. It is okay though it works very well even without the washer keeping the claws stiff

They could have changed the number, I ordered mine off Amazon today and it should be here Thursday. Hopefully this works cause none of the other pullers worked.
