Final Rides! Westinghouse Traction Elevators - Grand Hyatt - San Francisco, CA

[Recorded 6-16-22] This is my final ride on two of the cars here at the Grand Hyatt. At the time of this video, only one car had been modded. Now, there are only two original ones left and they might even be out of service now to get modded. These were originally Westinghouse elevators and they received a pretty nice Schindler mod with very rare EPCO Singapore fixtures. Now, they're currently getting modded by Schindler again, this time with newer EPCO.

Dinner bells are getting more and more rare.

i was SO lucky to ride those original cars before they were gone. last time I was there, half of the passenger cars were modded. my guess is the service cars are also gonna get modernized too

Sad… did you get more voice clips? I don’t know about you, but I’ve never heard this voice be used on any other system before, so hoping either they kept it or you got some clips of the main levels and stuff.

That’s a shame. I liked the way that EPCO Singapore looked. In my opinion the newer COPs look kind of clustered (and they definitely aren’t as cool at all). Sad to lose those nice dinner bells as well, and I don’t think these even needed the latest modernized as these looked and ran fine. The indicator flashing is interesting.
