- Get ready cause it's about to get hot!🔥 In this video we are comparing how logical is the fire in the different Sims Games.
As for the causes of fire there is of course many other ways to cause fire in the differents games, I couldn't include it all!
Also The Sims 3 has a ''firefighters'' active career.

Comment which is the best! On my hand, TS2 is the winner. I was actually truely impressed that they not only included the option for plants to catch fire but also how good the effects are! TS3 & TS4 come off as very blend compared to it.
Depending on the source of fire in real life, water either doesn't hinder or can actually make fire worse. So fire causing water to dry up, isn't that far of a leap in logic. And the fact that puddles are on the floor, wouldn't necessarily stop fire.
yeah using water on magnesium fires can make it worse, to put them out you must use sand

I like that in the sims 3 and 4, you can extinguish your sims by getting in water. Though I wish one of them would use the stop drop and roll method that was drilled into us as children
In the sims 4 laundry day the dryer is constatly ignitining itself. You can also burn sims and houses with spellcaster sim. Just ignite the bed when your target is sleeping. It basically guarantee that the sleeping sim will die in fire. I love using this mechanic to create serial killer sims without mods.
In TS3 fire actually produces light, illuminating everything with an orangy color that looks really good. In TS2 and 4 fire just looks so out of place and unrealistic

The Sims 1 is the only sims game that has fires spreading through stairs to the second or first level. The stairs get destroyed though.
My personal favourite is TS3, with 2 in a close second. Some of the effects are cool too!
Oh, Sims 4 had Smarter Sims in some cases. this Can be one of them, also. Firefighters weren't in til around 2020-2021 I think, but Island Living made Neighbours run into your house to put the Fires out, the Larger the Fire, the more Neighbours would appear (Also. Naturalist Sims exist, and can put out Fires very fast, and Cannot catch fire. so if one of these was your neighbour....you be a bit lucky)

The sims 2 will always be the game that made you actually have a gameplay instead of be in CAS for 5 hrs straight😭
Idk now I just choose pre-made sims in S3 or hit the randomize button. I remember spending a looot of time in CAS in 2 just as much as 3.
I agree, Sims 2 has the best game physics. There are also a couple other aspects (in Sims 2), one can study fire prevention, and will auto extinguish fires. In Apartment Life, adult and teen Sims will carry out infants and toddlers, and when a fire begins in apartments, everyone runs outside. I thought in Sims 2, sims could extinguish themselves in a pool, but perhaps I had a mod...will have to play a vanilla game to test.
Yes. It's a mod by bartek for sims to be able to go into a pool for self fire extinguishing.

I always get the ceiling sprinklers instead of the fire alarm, far less annoying and also automatic so...I mean you still have to clean up after but better deal in my opinion.I wish they added that item in Sims 4 instead of the weird magic sprinkler system
I think TS3 wins this hands down, but TS2 has nice little details as well. TS4 is a little bit disappointing.
I'm sad there was no mention of the firefighter profession in TS3, that's actually a lot of fun!
There have been a few (annoying) updates in TS4 with fire. If a sims is scared of fire, no matter their cooking skill, they will set fire A LOT. And for some reasons my sims' toilet caught fire a few times. I still don't know how but I'm guessing it came from an upgrade of some sort.

I disabled the fear and wants for now, because no matter how many times you "conquer" said fears, they always come back.
did you do an update to your toilet? Its from eco-living, the thing with the compost. If yes, than that can happen. If not, than its a (well known) bug

Sometime tree self fire happen for no reason.. I think lightning hits a tree or hot weather cause a tree to caught fire or not sure.. in sims 2 😱
Yes it does happen a lot during thunderstorms and the fire stops as soon as it starts 😂

imagine if in sims 3 trees burned the same as in sims 2, it would be possible to set forest fires! That's probably why this logic was not added in Sims 3. Players would burn down their Twinbrook or other town by blowing up objects (sometimes it also seems to start a fire)

Before the firefighters in Sims 4, encountered the gamebreaker fire bug. While my sim which was on fire should have been able to go put themselves out via showering etc, they were too busy reacting to being ON FIRE to do anything until that ran out at which point they burnt to death. S$ fixed that sometime after; with the on-person fire extinguishers now and possibly the ability to click off the fire reaction of an active sim so you can help tell them what to do to put out said fires.
idk if my sims 4 is glitched bc my fully skilled sims caused a fired 5 times in one day from using the stove😭
In the sims 4, fires can occur on community lots via mods. However if a fire occurs on a community lot there will be no insurance. The lot must be rebuilt in build mode.

I disagree for this one. For me the sims 3 is better
People have found ways to make Plants Flammable in TS4, and in Older Versions of TS4, Spellcasters could Select a Plant and use "Inferniate" on it. to ignite it. but they removed it (Like the Lazy Idiots they are), I might reintroduce Fires. for myself. or perhaps for others that want Plants to be Flammable (they can have the Burnt overlay appear in TS4 to my Recollection) :EDIT, Flammable Plants that burn for long enough can actually turn to Ashes
the bests are sims 3 and 4, sims 2 does have somethings the nwer ones don't but it also miss new features related to the fire so its worse.
my sims in sims4 dont even move when they catch fire??? i cant do anything lmaoooo. they just die. Sooo sick of it xD
