I think the winner is Sims 2. So many details and little things have been done. Looking at 3 videos of physics comparison, Sims 2 developers put a lot of effort into the game. Both for gameplay and little things. Sims 3 has most of the same features from Sims 2, but leaves out a few of them. But Sims 3 made ± some unique details, but they are a little buggy. Sims 4 lacked a lot of things compared to the previous two parts, but, as for me, in this part of the physics comparison Sims 4 at least made something unique.
I would play Sims 2, but it slows down and crashes for me, so I play often Sims 3 or Sims 4.
I’m so amazed by your dedication. I never thought of zooming into the toilets to see if they put realistic details lol, it’s like I’m learning the sims games anew from this series. Love your videos 🫶🏻

Ts2 car physics SLAY

It also really sets the tone for Sims 4 that an adult gets in the tub and splashes around.
Random, but the free music selection you've used for these comparison videos actually work really well with The Sims, I don't know why, they just fit rather well.
Every game is a step forward in some places, a step back in others... fascinating!
I feel like there's no clear winner here, they all have their own merits... so I'm just gonna say TS3 because it's my favorite. :P
I agree! And yeah TS3 was my first love so it has a special place in my heart eventho lately TS2 has been growing to be my fav!

and take some time when in the shower to turn it off then on.
and occasionally sing.
They all did pretty good in their own areas so it's hard to choose the winner.
Sims 2 and 3 are tied for first to me since the physics they had were quite impressive for being in older games, however Sims 4 still did pretty good in the areas it excelled at.
I've never understood why curtains move in The Sims 4.
Because in real life they move also.
This is the problem with most modern games, after the 2000s game companies just stopped putting details in despite having way more power to do so which makes a lot of games feel lifeless compared to old ones.

While I appreciate the comparison, many, if not all of the examples shown (including previous videos) are just animations, just physics. There are very little calculations that simulate the physical movement of these objects and effects - rather, they are premade in different software and replayed at the appropriate time. Real-time physics calculations are not being done in most if not all of these - just animation playback.
That being said, this video is still well done and showcases some good differences between these games. Good stuff!
I do think TS2 will always win for overall game physics, even if TS3 or TS4 has a few details not in TS2, they still both lack the all the intricate details TS2 has.
Btw, there are a few details in TS2 that are worth mentioning. The bath physics can be seen best when bathing a toddler or pet, as well as they change with certain personalities (same with using the sink): Sloppy sims will will leave a puddle when exiting the bath, Neat sims will have more bubble animations when using the sink. Speaking of the sink, bathing babies in the sink has great animations and physics. As for some of the trees and smaller plants not having all the physics animations, plants/trees included in Seasons (and thereafter), all do, even the weeds on the fruit and veggie plants do, as well.
Unlike the latter games, many of the game's physics and animations are tied to sims personalities (some are tied to skills and badges too). This is what makes the entire sims experience so much more in-depth and unique from all the other mainline Sims games❣
Feet needs to be more detailed in all sims games. It’s a priority
Sims 2 have better gameplay, graphics, interaction, details, etc. Sims 3 and 4 may have more variety in other stuff such as tree houses, more woohoo spots, occults with way more abilities, open world in sims 3 and better sim appearances in sims 4 and so on but sims 2 has better aesthetic that is also cozy to me.
In the sims 2 there is also the movements on the couch!!

With only 2 years in devolepment ts4 should have skipped phisics and done other things instead and aded phisics inafree patch down the line. I think people would have firgiven that. However I also see the good the katter additions of features like infants and toddlers brought.
Ts4 is still made with passion abd love but also on a time frame of devolepment time that isnt possible to do with quality . Ts5 seams to have a new contract or they sacragicng ts4 to make ts5 better. Keeping ts4 alife alows ts5 to have lobnger devolepment. Ther tried that with ts4 but made the mistake of promising ea a 2014 release so they wher kinda forced to release it. Ts5 seams to have no release window gor EA or leadership.

Omg how are yall sims peeing standing up in sims 4??? That never happened in my game and I had it for over a decade
In TS4 create a Sim, you can choose whether or not your sim pees standing up, regardless of the aim’s gender. I think all premade male sims pee standing up, but every sim sits down to poo
